Dr Hernández was pleasant and thorough. He asked questions and was patient to answer all my concerns.

4.5 Wait. What is…read morethis? A Miami physician who keeps appointment times, has a welcoming front office and is helpful, clear & concerned with the well-being of his patients? What? Que? Vas is? If it's not clear, I am so thankful to have found Dr. Csete (pronounced 'Chedda'). True story: Yelp started because founder and CEO Jeremy Stoppelman needed a doctor in SF. He'd recently moved to the city, didn't have a big network of peers to ask about doctors and thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to have a website that had reviews of things you needed (like, doctors) that would help you decide where to go?" He had a thought, yadda yadda yadda, we have Yelp. So, in that vein, I turned to Yelp to find a pulmonologist. I'd had a horrific experience with one and a pretty good experience with another but I'd had yet to have a full-on diagnosis, plan of attack and 'you are healed' kinda moment. So, I took matters in to my own hands. Seeing that there was a dearth of info on the topic in Miami, I cross-referenced docs who had *some* presence on Yelp with online research to schools attended, claims against them, areas of expertise, and years of practice and came up with a short (very short) list of suitable pulmonologists. Dr. Csete was close to me and could see me within a reasonable amount of time. Scheduling an appointment was easy as was finding his office (Mt. Sinai). I checked in, was greeted with a smile (what?!) and 3 minutes after my appointment time I was in an examination room with a nurse. WHAT??? The nurse handled my work-up, put me at ease and told me how to prep for the doctor. I found Dr. Csete to be knowledgeable, prompt, concerned with what I was going through (living in a former crackhouse with toxic air affecting my lungs, skin and nasal passages), quick to take action, and possessed of options from which I could choose. After a series on of-the-spot tests, my worst fears were allayed but he warned me that I would need to move in no more than three months time to be sure to be clear of permanent damage (considering how long I'd been living like that). He also scheduled another appointment to rule out some long-term effects of my ratchet existence. I felt like I was back in Chicago. Finally, medical care that rose to the level of which I expected and desired. Dr. Csete, I thank you. Plus, your name is fun to say. Chedda.

I've been a patient of Dr. Csete for years and I had a great experience with him and his staff…read more I won't ever leave him.. He is not only knowledgeable, professional and caring but a doctor that spends time with you and understands the patients needs. Years ago, I had to find a pulmonary doctor for my condition and one of my phisicians at Mt. Sinai highly recomended him. I got an appointment with him, he solved my illness and since then, he is being taking care of all my problems. I have asthma and chronic bronchitis and i've been hospitalized with pneumonia a couple of times. He has been there with me through all the rides and always gave me the right treatment to bring me back to health. If you are looking for a pulmonary doctor, look no further. Dr. Csete is the best in town!!

I have to say that after reading these reviews I was reluctant to go this place. I must point out…read morethat the prior reviews are a couple years old. I am not sure if that was why but when I went to was a very pleasant experience. I saw the doctor in about 45 mins which I would have seen him in about 30 mins but I forgot to take my referral and they had to get one from my PCP. I saw Dr. Rene Gonzalez and he was awesome. He explained everything and ordered a sleep study. I will complete this review once I have done the sleep study and have gone to my follow up appointment. I am just writing this up now in case someone is looking up this place and was wondering if their services have improved.

To all prospective patients please do your due diligence and research the reviews and be your own…read moreadvocate when dealing with this medical provider. The first red flag was the office manager answers the phone "doctor" instead of a more professional "hello thank you for calling Dr Salazar's office this is blank speaking how may I help you today. The second red flag was after booking a sleep study a month out and taking a day off of work I received no confirmation call or reminder of the appointment. The MSRP for sleep studies approximately $800 Dr.Salazar's office was concerned that my insurance company would not provide payment so they required pre-authorizations which was provided from my insurer but this is when the runaround began. Both Dr Salazar's office and Pulmonary Physician of Miami who performs a sleep study threw one another under the bus they also threw my insurance company under he bus but what I spoke to my insurance company with a case number they told me where the errors were made from my medical provider. Approximately four times a year I wake up from a deep sleep incapable of breathing and when I try to get a full inhale a honking sound is created involuntarily, at this point I must meditate and breathe in and out through my nose and calm myself panic sets in because I've been incapable of getting air through my mouth via normal breathing. I was referred to Dr Salazar's office from my doctor which I did not vet them I did not research and I blame myself for my current state of affairs and difficulties that I'm having with them. My insurance is United healthcare and I feel like a second class citizen trying to get insurance to cover needed medical services I formally had Blue Cross Blue shield I'm not sure if this would have made my experience more user friendly but I never encountered any problems with that medical insurance provider in the past. I spent today which I took off from work for my sleep study on the phone listening to Musac being on hold for approximately 45 minutes when combined from all three companies I had to call while being my own advocate to receive medical attention. I was told it takes 72 hours to get proper authorization this is unfortunate because today is December 29th and this appointment was made early December and they reached out for authorization on 12/19/25 which leads me to being utterly disappointed, disrespected, devalued and deflated. There's new science out about the glynphatic system that resets when you get proper amount of rest and your brain flushes its fluids like an oil change people who are insomniacs or have sleep apnea or on methamphetamines do not reset their glynphatic systems and this is when hallucinations may happen you might feel that your capacity to focus mentally is declined. I do not sleep well I feel unrested when I wake up from my slumber I am been told that I am a loud snorer that I stop breathing in the middle of the night and my husband sleeps in the other room due to this condition as of late. Miami's a tough city it's the Gotham of the South if you're not being shot at or jumped on your way home you're dealing with the medical professionals who are only out to receive payment and that your medical attention is secondary especially if you have United healthcare provided from your employer. I'm leaving one star because half a star wasn't available to me at this time for reviewing but I implore Dr Salazar's office pulmonary Physician of Miami and United healthcare this is a great opportunity for you to go beyond your normal status quo and see the error in your ways and look out for the little guy being their own advocate trying to make the world peaceful and to be able to have a proper slumber I challenge you to expedite and correct your errors and refine your medical practices when it comes to patients . I am aggravated, irate and I feel defeated, devalued and dismissed from this experience no one's going to help you You have to be your own advocate and still you're going to get the runaround Good luck Miami
