I knew going in that a Michael Jackson show was going to be entertaining, but I honestly wasn't prepared for what we experienced with Michael Jackson ONE in Las Vegas. This isn't just a concert, and it isn't just a Cirque du Soleil show. It's a full-on sensory experience that combines Michael Jackson's music, incredible choreography, acrobatics, special effects, lighting, video, and some seriously talented performers. And let me tell you... the energy in this theater is absolutely off the charts! The show takes you through some of Michael's biggest hits, and hearing those songs performed while watching the choreography and production happening all around you is something completely different from simply listening to the music. The performers were phenomenal. The dancing, acrobatics, costumes, and athleticism were incredible, and there were moments where I honestly found myself wondering, "How in the world did they just do that?" And the production itself? Las Vegas at its best. The lights, screens, sound, effects, and stage design all work together to create something that feels much bigger than a traditional theater show. There is always something happening, and the show moves at a pace that keeps you completely engaged. My wife and I were in Vegas celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and this was definitely one of those experiences that we'll be talking about for a long time. If you're a Michael Jackson fan, I think you'll absolutely love this show. But even if you're not the biggest MJ fan in the world, the production value and talent alone make this worth experiencing. WARNING: This is not your typical Cirque show but it does have the Cirque element of attention to details. I didn't have an idea of the show but I love Cirque du Soleil and want to see all their shows. This is my first contemporary show - I didn't get to the Beatles Love. First off, we sat in the center and maybe 5 rows from the back. We got the whole view of the stage and the left and right portions of the extended stage. I love that you can buy popcorn and snack in the theater waiting for the show to start. With all Cirque shows, I try to figure out the story before looking it up. Like many mentioned, this one was a bit tough. But I was pleasantly distracted by the VISUALS! This Cirque show still had acrobatics and "clowns" but the visuals and choreography, supported by technology, truly took center stage for me. Our seats allowed us to feel the effects of the visuals. I was in awe of how great the production used lighting, drones, projections everywhere to make you feel like you're IN the show, much like an IMAX makes you feel closer than you actually are. Now those literally closer to the stage interacted more with the cast but being further back, you see and experience so much more and en mass (in my opinion). Acrobatics was still present. Personally, the pole dancer impressed me the most! So hard to do this routine with speed and for an entire song! My arms felt like noodles thinking of the endurance and strength. Again, I emphasize the visuals. I felt like a little kid looking everywhere to take in all the details. Coupled that with the music and the artist, I found myself crying a couple of times, especially during Man in the Mirror. There were throwbacks to his music videos, even the Black and White video with Macaulay Culkin and the powerful They Don't Care About Us music video. My husband and I attended the Michael Jackson ONE show over this last weekend. Here is my honest review: The music was ABSOLUTELY TOO LOUD! I have never been to a Cirque du Soleil show where the music was blasting so loudly. My husband's smart watch kept beeping a decibel warning - yes, it was that loud. And, we were not sitting down by the speakers - we were in the first section after the break between the bottom rows. Disappointment: There was not any one performer that stood out as "Michael". There was one dancer who danced a couple of songs using some of Michael's moves, but we expected the show to be more about Michael and his dancing skills brought forth with the performers which it was not. Therefore, we were disappointed. We were hoping Thriller would be more like the MTV Thriller video which it was not. Another disappointment. We also felt some of the performers (in the show we saw) were not refined in their showmanship yet - kind of sloppy. Another disappointment: The footage shown is something anyone can see on YouTube - nothing unusual, rare or unattainable. For the price of the tickets compared to all the other Cirque du Soleil shows (which is 5+) we have seen in Las Vegas, this was our least favorite. The Michael Jackson One was very epic!!! Everything about this show was well put together and creative... the love for Michael was definitely shown. It was like a celebration of his life!! The dancing was phenomenal and each part was rehearsed so well. The acrobats were just out of this world to me. They were so cool and talented. All the performers and dancers knew what they were doing. The venue is really nice and very clean. Seating was good and very organized. You cannot film on your phone inside only pics. I came to the show with no expectations. My wife enjoys dance and the music of MJ and had seen a version of this 11 years ago. From start to finish I was blown away with the choreography, acrobatics, and music. So many cool effects throughout. They also came into the audience or were suspended above us. I finally got to see Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil, and WOW... what an incredible show! From the moment it started, I was completely captivated. Every performance had me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn't stop smiling. The acrobatics were breathtaking, the choreography was incredible, and the way they combined Michael Jackson's music with Cirque du Soleil's creativity was absolutely brilliant. Since I know all of Michael Jackson's songs, it made the experience even more exciting. I found myself singing along in my head the entire time! Every act left me saying, "Wow!" and wondering how they pulled it off. The energy was nonstop, and every performance was exciting, creative, and so much fun from beginning to end. I'm a huge Cirque du Soleil fan in general. I've seen almost every Cirque show that I could. Unfortunately, I missed a few that are no longer running, such as IRIS in Los Angeles and, in Las Vegas, R.U.N. and LOVE (The Beatles). If I could give this show 10 stars, I would. This show was awesome. Let's start off with I bought the higher up cheaper seats because I did not want to pay almost 200 per seat. We walked in about 30 minutes early and they were like we upgraded yall and sat us 4 rows from the front! Everything came from the sides and above shooting from everywhere right in front of us. LOUD!!! Dangerously loud! Mandalay Bay must reduce the volume of the Michael Jackson ONE show by Cirque du Soleil. The volume level of this show is dangerous. I had to leave the show early. I probably won't get my money back. However, I probably saved a bit of my hearing by leaving the show early. The volume level is so high, that I wouldn't be surprised if it is illegal, if it isn't, it should be. If it is illegal, a class action lawsuit should be pursued. This is outrageous. Finally got the chance to go see Michael Jackson One by Cirque du Soleil at Mandalay Bay, and overall it was a really fun Vegas show..... especially if you're a Michael Jackson fan. The production value is exactly what you'd expect from Cirque: incredible lighting, visuals, and special effects. The whole theater feels immersive, and there's always something happening on stage or above the audience. The dancers are insanely talented and they do a great job recreating some of Michael Jackson's iconic moves like the Smooth Criminal lean and other classic choreography. Hearing hits like Billie Jean, Beat It, and Thriller with the energy of a live performance really makes the show feel like a tribute to MJ's legacy. One thing to know going in is that this show leans more toward dance and music than traditional Cirque acrobatics. There are still aerial acts and stunts, but it feels more like a high-energy concert combined with Cirque visuals rather than a full circus-style show. Overall though, it's a visually impressive show with great choreography, great music, and a lot of nostalgic MJ moments. What an amazing display of talent and tribute. Always down for some Michael! Music selections and artistic interpretation of each song is so unique and an enjoyable production. Located inside Mandalay bay hotel. Entrance to theater is right where the W hotel and mandalay connect. Lovely theater I've seen this show a few times and tried several seating locations. All with great views from every section. Staff were friendly, welcoming and informative. Performers are so talented and bring the music to life. Pre order tickets online or at the box office check hours of operation. Get there a little early to have your group photo session. Great memories to capture with option to purchase photo booklet of two poses. Pick up after the show at the tables just outside the entrance. It'll be where the crowd is gathering. Restrooms are also located just outside the theater entrance. From the parking garage I would maybe enter through the W hotel and just follow it towards the mandalay connection. Pass the coffee shop make a right. Follow the long hallway on the right you'll see restaurant seating, it'll be right after the sky fall lounge reception & elevators. read more

Some of my family went to see the show a couple of years ago and I had always wanted to see it because they raved about it. Surprisingly enough, this was a different show than back in 2021; however, we thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a good mixture of acrobatic acts, dancing and videos, to really pay tribute to the iconic Michael Jackson!!! They have a really nice gift shop and we purchased a few items. They also have nice posters and outfits to take pictures and view. The only thing I would recommend is to probably sit around row 10 so you can have a good view of the entire stage, the ceiling and the sides because there is stuff happening everywhere!! I just cannot adequately express what a fantastic experience Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soliel was and I want to say the trip to see it is 100% worth it! I only try to write meaningful and high quality reviews, so let's see if I can dig deep. I loved the way the show first captured the attention of the audience without going straight into a big bang with the appearance of actors flashing their cameras like paparazzi, as if some big deal is coming by. It was cute and it was indicative of the show, how things kept slowly ramping up and up until an explosion of a finale! The show also became more and more engaging as it went by, with performers both on the air above us and along the aisles! Definitely stay in your seats for this show and keep your unruly children out of the aisle! Also huge props for a diverse cast, not something I would expect in Nevada, and even bigger props for using someone who was clearly disabled, but highly talented! Another amazing cirque du solelil show! Dancing and acrobatics with MJ soundtrack in the background! Even for those who aren't the biggest MJ fan, I would recommend this show. They played all of his biggest hits and my favorite songs including Billie Jean, smooth criminal, thriller, and beat it. They also played some of this more human interest songs like man in the mirror and they don't care about us. Overall, thought the song transitions were smooth and they had a good variety of dancing and acrobatic acts. One critique I have is that some of the sounds/music were way too loud. I've never had to cover my ears but at some points during the show I had to (please change this). It's a highly entertaining 90 minute show with no intermission (starts and ends on time). After seeing Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil back in 2015, I told myself it was the one Cirque show I would absolutely watch again. And here we are in 2025, exactly ten years later, with even better seats. I remembered a few scenes, but honestly, we were so captivated that it felt like experiencing a completely new show. Growing up with MJ's music, the performance brought back so many memories and all the nostalgia. While it still features classic Cirque du Soleil elements, this show feels more like an energetic, celebratory dance party. The performers are incredibly talented and truly bring Michael's music to life. One cast member (Jean Sok per Google) performs with only one leg, yet he shines just as brightly as everyone else on stage. It was truly inspiring. We were able to snag last-minute tickets online for a Thursday 6:30 p.m. show. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. I thought it was a great show. I ended up going last minute and found that prices were much cheaper buying online from the show instead of physically going to the box office. The box office said only certain tickets were available and I looked online and found much closer to the stage for a significant cheaper price. The show in itself is creative and has a story line while revisiting Michael's life and music. Advice is look around the entire show. Things are happening all around you and above you. read more

There is so much happening at once that it almost feels like the theater itself becomes part of the show, with action unfolding above, on the sides, and across the stage. **August 2025: Weekend Evening Visit** My friend and I attended this Cirque du Soleil as our original concert was cancelled. We bought our tickets last minute at Vegas.com for $155.81per person (Side seats, 2nd Row). I've seen a handful of Cirque du Soleil performances and also grew up as a dancer so when I say that this was THE BEST CIRQUE EXPERIENCE EVER - it's a really big compliment. Without spoilers I'll just say that there were so many surprises and I loved the choreography and song choices for each sequence. There was a section of the performance where I felt like I was going to cry because it was so touching and the costumes and energy of the performers were unmatched. This is my favorite Cirque Du Soleil show since now the Beatles Love show is closed! I have seen this show 4 times and there was an updated version which included drones! As usual the dancers and stage presence was incredible and MJ would be so proud! The drummers were incredible but the most memorable dancer was a guy with one leg! He was amazing and so talented! A great ending was I was able to share an elevator with some of the dancers and the guy with one leg was there! The dancers were very nice and were gracious to pose for a photo! Talk about being late to the party. Cirque du Soleil's "Michael Jackson ONE" has been playing at Mandalay Bay for over twelve years. The bf & I finally caught a showing on our most recent visit to Vegas. "ONE" has more choreography & less circus elements than a typical Cirque production, but it still starts with actors heckling audience members pre-show. The plot follows four people who find pieces of MJ's iconic wardrobe -- his hat, sunglasses, gloves, shoes -- & discover they're able to release the magic that was always hidden within themselves. I loved seeing the dancers do the famous gravity-defying "Smooth Criminal" lean, & the hologram of Michael performing "Man in the Mirror" brought up so many emotions (I'm not crying, you're crying.) We were a few rows back from the stage, which was good for seeing costumes, dance moves, & facial expressions up close, but sitting further back would've allowed us to better see the action happening above & on the sides of auditorium. Talented cast dancing to hit after hit for 90 minutes. I'm glad to have been a witness to it. Better late than never. read more

Bought tickets for the same evening at the box office at Mandalay Bay. The employee who assisted us informed us that guests at the hotel receive a slightly discounted price, and she chose us great seats! Tickets are sent directly to your phone via text. The show was entertaining, a bit slow at times; but great overall. The only downside for me was that a tourist sitting next to me talked loudly to his companion the entire time, which was quite distracting. Also, please do not record or take photos! Employees WILL flash their lights at you and make you stop (I saw several people with their phones out trying to record). In order to get the full & best view of everything, I recommend any seats that are in the middle of the theatre, either in the back of section 102 or middle of 204. read more

We did not really enjoy this show. It was disjointed and oddly written. There was no storyline or flow, it didn't seem. We saw random songs and themes all stitched together. We sat far back and that didn't help as it was hard to see the stage performance. There was cool stuff going on in the aerial parts of the show where people flew out over the audience. A lot of times, we caught ourselves simply watching the video screens of MJ rather than the stage since it was easier to see. Of course, the performers in Cirque du Soleil are always skilled and excellent, but the show just didn't maximize them well. The trampoline acrobats were good, but their segment got boring because it was too long. The pole performer was good in Dirty Diana. The lady sitting on the moon was just there and not sure why. I would not recommend this show personally. Mad Apple was better for a Cirque show. read more

I left Michael Jackson ONE as the last cirque du soliel show for us to see in Vegas as I didn't think I would enjoy it very much. Boy, was I wrong. I actually enjoyed this more than Love, Ka, and O. It's about even with Mad Apple and Mystere for me. Mandalay Bay is towards the south end of the strip and we took a taxi to haul us over there in the nick of time. Our seats were 204 BB 3-6. They were perfect. I liked being in the second tier to see what was happening in the aisles and above the aisles. During Thriller, one of the performers got me. If we had sat one more row down we would have gotten to high five the performers in the aisle at the end. The beginning of the show was weird and I was resigned to an hour and a half of tedium. I thought it was going to be predominantly an imax experience. It quickly got more interesting. My favorite acts were the chinese yoyos, the transition glove scene with the boy in red, the gals dancing, Thriller, Billie Jean glow in the dark act, and Earth Song shadows act. There were a lot of acrobatics, lots of dancing, some aerial - lyra, pole, Spanish web. I was thoroughly entertained. Awesome show! read more

I had front-row seats for Michael Jackson ONE and left feeling disappointed. While the performers were incredibly talented and gave outstanding performances, I felt the overall storyline did not do Michael Jackson's legacy justice. It lacked the strong, cohesive narrative I was expecting. The biggest issue for me was an audience interaction where a performer drank from a cup and then threw water into the crowd. As someone who is very germ-conscious, having water sprayed on me was not enjoyable at all. My sister and I were both upset by the experience, and I don't believe guests should be unexpectedly splashed without some warning. I also felt that the pole dancing scene was more suggestive than I expected, especially for a show that many families with children attend. The music needs to be high energy with his hits songs. At times I felt bored. The athleticism, dancing, and music were ok, but the storyline and some of the creative choices took away from what could have been a truly memorable tribute to Michael Jackson. I do recommend this show for children (5+) it is also respectful if you have your children sitting in their seats and they are supervised. The Theatre ushers are very vigilant during the show. There is no flash photography allowed inside, as requested prior to entering the Theatre. Again, the ushers are vigilant. There is a bag restriction as well. Make sure you check the bag measurements prior to arriving. They have great nice merchandise to purchase after the show. Hands down I scored this Thriller hoodie!! read more
