I was told that going to a concert at the Sphere would ruin concerts everywhere else, and after having gone I would agree with that. It opened in 2023 and seats more than 17,000 people. It has immersive audio and video effects that include hundreds of thousands of LED displays. The arena cost $2.3 billion to build, the most expensive entertainment venue in the Las Vegas area. The property has parking spaces but most people either take rideshare or walk from their hotels on the Strip. We stayed at The Palazzo which was very convenient because there was a connected indoor walkway that took 15 minutes to and from the entrance. After getting inside there were food and drink stalls throughout. When you walk to your section you'll just see the light displays and the illumination all around you. Typically at concerts the closer you are to the front of the stage the better, but here that's not the case. We were in the 400 section and we had amazing views that were higher up with more panoramic views of the Sphere's effects. Even on the exterior to see it glow in the middle of the dark Vegas night is a sight to behold. They play ads and other animations on the outside, and we had a great view from our hotel room. It really was something I've never experienced before, and this is such a cool experience that you should check out at least once. read more

Seeing anything in the sphere will knock your socks off. Came here for wizard of oz, which had its limitations due to the fact that they took the original movie and edited it to stretch and for time. I wanted to save my 500th review for a banger and this venue totally deserves it. For the last six months, I had been bombarded by Backstreet Boys ads (probably because I watched them from start to finish). In June, I was in town with friends for a weekend trip and we were fortunate to get tickets to the second to last No Doubt concert at retail price. I was prepared for an experience like no other based on the aforementioned ads as well as pictures and what I have heard from friends. Even with lofty expectations, the Sphere blew my mind. At the start of the show, we were completely surrounded by visuals and other stimuli. There was so much going on for the first song, I was happy that it was toned down a little bit just so we could shift some of our focus back to the band. The production of the videos varied quite a bit for each song to keep everything feeling fresh. Some were like giant music videos that would be fine as standalone events. Some combined visual effects with live video of the band. There were breaks for the band but the time was filled with No Doubt history and interviews with the band members. The whole show was over two hours and I was thoroughly entertained throughout. I can't believe Gwen Stefani is in her mid-50s - kicking and dancing around on stage like in her 20s. All of No Doubt was still rocking it like they were in the 90s with a ton of energy and smiles. A few tips. The 200s and 300s are recommended for the best screen viewing without having to look too far up or down. Center is #06. I think near 206 would be a good blend of watching the screen and still being able to see the stage with the naked eye. However, I think almost every seat in the house is probably a pretty good view. Depending on the show, there might be some surprises dropped from the ceiling, so watch out for that and you might get a fun souvenir. Caution to anyone who can't handle too much visual or seat shaking. It's quite a lot and I could see some people be overwhelmed by the venue. My final recommendation - just go. What an incredible event! We went for Wizard of Oz. The show was amazing. The seats shook. The wind blew. The colors were bright and vibrant. The apples fell, but we didn't catch one. Didn't buy one for $10 after the show, either. Snow came to kill the poppies. Monkeys flew. And so much more. It was a truly immersive 75 minute 4D experience. Before the show we took photos with the sign and poppy flowers. Husband took my picture in front of round globe with Miss Gulch riding her bike. Food and drink was pricey, so we bought just a water for $4 plus tax. Souvenirs were available at several places. We bought a colorful magnet for $15. We thought it would be cool inside. We brought hoodies. Didn't need them. Thought it would be really loud. Brought earbuds. Didn't need them. I didn't bring a bag (only small ones permitted), but I got scanned as part of random selection. So lucky!! After the show, there was a live show on level one. But we needed to meet our ride share driver. If we'd known about the show we might have requested a later pickup. We are VERY glad we took a ride share. We got dropped at front and we wound up walking a lot once we got inside. We got picked up in a similar location and were glad to not walk to a car or fight traffic back to the hotel. read more

We have seen 4 concerts and a movie inside the Sphere. The venue is well thought out and relatively easy to access, especially if you stay at the Venetian or nearby hotels/casinos. The view from inside is unique and definitely adds to the experience. We have had seats on every section and I think I have liked the lower 200 level the best so far. The sound is incredible. I really like watching the fun graphics on the screen as well as the band performing. The drinks are well made and the cost is what you would expect at this type of venue. The security is no joke. I've been to the Sphere several times for concerts, and every visit has been incredible. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about this experience. The movie itself felt like an old film with a few added effects like wind, smoke, bubbles, falling leaves, and a few other small touches. For almost $200 per ticket, I expected something much more impressive and immersive. The biggest disappointment was the apples. During one scene, they were dropped from small openings in the ceiling, but only above certain sections of the audience. Our section, along with many others, didn't have any openings at all, so we never even had a chance to get one. Meanwhile, some families walked away with one apple per person. I don't think that's a good concept. If it's supposed to be part of the experience, everyone should have the same opportunity to receive one. The price for a regular movie ticket costs around $20. Here we paid almost $200 per person, and I honestly don't think what we received justified that price I would definitely come back to the Sphere for another concert, but I wouldn't recommend spending the money on this movie. When arriving we were given ADA assistance. This included someone to help with one of their wheelchairs. We were escorted in, taken upstairs to a place where we could exchange our tickets for a platform area that was better suitable for our needs. After that we were shown the perfect spots for photos and get our concessions. We were taken to our seats and as soon as the show was over we were taken to the after show. Going to the Sphere to see The Wizard of Oz was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Las Vegas. The moment I walked up to the Sphere, I literally got chills. Pictures and videos don't do it justice--it's every bit as impressive in person as people say it is. I honestly need to know who came up with this idea because it's impossible to take your eyes off of it. From the moment I arrived, the staff was wonderful. Everyone--from the security team outside to the employees helping guests find their seats--was welcoming, friendly, and, most importantly, patient. I arrived pretty close to showtime, and since the theater was already dark, I had a little trouble finding my seat. No one made me feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing them. They were incredibly kind and helpful. As for the show itself... it was absolutely worth traveling to Las Vegas for. First, The Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorite movies, so getting to experience it in this format was incredibly special. But beyond that, the visual effects were unbelievable. The immersive experience is unlike anything I've ever seen before. One thing that really surprised me was that I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. No matter where you're sitting, you're going to have an incredible view because the entire venue is designed so thoughtfully. I also appreciated that the merchandise was reasonably priced. I picked up a Wizard of Oz T-shirt for $20 and one of the themed apples for $10, which I thought was a great value for a venue like this. Another detail I noticed--and really appreciated--was how organized everything was after the show. They have clearly designated areas for taxis and rideshare pickups, which made leaving the venue incredibly easy. As someone visiting Las Vegas for the first time, that level of organization made a huge difference. Instead of wondering where to stand or trying to figure out where my ride was, everything was clearly directed and easy to navigate. This wasn't just a show--it was an experience. Sections in the 400s are too high up. 300s are great. 200s are closer but the back portion has restricted view due to overhang. Overpriced small portion of sweet popcorn is available - such a small portion and coated income kind of sugary coating that they said was like kettle corn, but tasted more like Captain Crunch's crunch berries. This is for the Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. If you can go, do it. I've watched the original 1939 movie many times since I was a kid (many years ago), but it was exciting and thrilling to see in such a huge format with enhanced backgrounds, great audio and different effects. It's an experience. It's not inexpensive - and they cut some out of the movie (although it does cut out some of the lines I remember that I enjoy, it doesn't affect the story line) - but it is a unique experience. In the future, I understand they are planning to run Rocky Horror Picture Show. I expect that would also be a great experience here in the Sphere. read more

This was my second visit to the Sphere, and once again, I was completely blown away. Yes, it's expensive, but in my opinion, it's absolutely worth it! I've seen The Wizard of Oz countless times throughout my life, but I've never experienced it like this. The Sphere makes you feel like you're actually inside the movie. From the wind and the tornado to the falling snow and apples seemingly dropping from the sky, the immersive effects are incredible. It's truly an experience unlike anything I've ever seen before. If you're planning to go, I highly recommend sitting up high. We were in Section 406, right in the middle, and it was the perfect spot to take in the entire experience. One piece of advice: skip the popcorn. I know the souvenir box is tempting, but the popcorn was extremely stale. It tasted dry and almost plastic-like. My friend even took hers back for an exchange, but the replacement tasted exactly the same. Definitely not worth the price. Speaking of prices, be prepared--everything inside is expensive. I would suggest eating and drinking before you arrive. Despite the disappointing popcorn, the show itself was absolutely magical and something everyone should experience at least once. The Sphere experience for the Wizard of Oz was bittersweet breathtaking. We took the kiddos to have a chance of a lifetime event on their belts. It is a pricey encounter. Everything has a price, but the entertainment was unique. However, they don't tell you on Ticketmaster that the separate bag costs at the security check is mandatory. Medium to large bags and purses are to be left in a locker for yes, another cost. Drinks, boxed popcorn, and other refreshments are offered with an additional fee. You aren't guaranteed to catch a falling apple or leaf from the experience. So therefore that is another purchase. They have WoO merch vendors where you can purchase an apple and more souvenirs if you choose. It is a bittersweet experience because in my opinion, it is unique.... and everything you do in Las Vegas will have a price. If you can enjoy some of the finer things in life, do so. It will be worth the sentimental value. Remember: if security tells you, your bag/purse needs to be in a locker, make sure your cell phone, money, and valuables are on your person. However; it's definitely better to enjoy the upper seating areas to see the full sphere area and get the full effect of the arena. Good food and drink offerings throughout the arena and plenty of bathrooms, although women's gets a long line still and why does it show free feminine products if there are none to offer??? *plenty of time and space to restock later in the concert but they choose not to. What an experience!! We loved all the special effects. I sat in the in section 405 row 14 seat 31. It's got a good view on the stage. You're high enough up that you aren't looking up to see the movie. I might suggest getting a little lower if you want to catch an apple. I heard they were selling apples in the gift shop after the show, but I didn't see any so that practice may have stopped or it was just a rumor. Either way I wasn't blessed with an apple. The hike to our seats was overwhelming. The sphere is so tall and steep. We took the escalator and got off on the 4th floor and walked up. We had the choice of walking up or down as our seats were in the middle of the sections. We voted it would be easier to walk up then down. We held on to the rail the whole climb. Most people were having difficulty on the walk, especially the women in heels with a cane. I'm surprise she made it without a spill. People were carrying food and drinks and it was hard to watch them after we got settled. I'm surprise they made it without a spill or falling. If you are afraid of heights this might not be your thing. It even made me a little queasy. Or you may sit towards the front so you aren't looking down and seeing the whole screen. Our seats were on the isle which was good. No climbing over anyone which would have been difficult. Especially since the rows are so long with not may isles. They should have put in more isles so you didn't have to climb over so many people. There were late comers too after the movie started. The seats were comfortable for the 75 minute movie. The seats don't recline, but they do rumble during different scenes. The concessions were decent. They had a full bar from what I could see. They also had your standard theater fair. Such as popcorn, some in Wizard of Qz boxes I believe for $12, candy of all kinds, chips, ect. They also had some hot foods such as hot dogs and chicken nuggets, don't quote me as I was just trying to observe from our seats. Lots of people were eating and drinking. More drinking than eating. With all the food being served and the possibility of spills I didn't find the floor sticky. The bathrooms were plentiful and clean. Even right after the show on the 5th floor there was not waiting. They were trying to push everyone to use the facilities on the 2nd level, but I ducked in and there wasn't an issue. There are several doors to enter in the theater. If you walk in soon as you get off your LYFT that door doesn't have the shoes, you need to walk all the way around and then you can get your shot. I almost walked in the wrong door and missed my selfie moment. They even have stickers on the ground telling where you should stand for the best selfie. After you take your if you a re general admission you need to walk upstairs to the entrance. Security was tight. You walk though a metal detector and the discriminate against large bags. And if you beep or are closed they pat you down. The line was quick to get in. They had multiple metal detectors and doors open. We arrived around 7pm for the 8pm show. We wanted to make sure we got all of our pictures before they opened the doors a at 730m. I believe they actually opened their doors earlier. The tornado scene was exciting. They had tissue paper leaves flying around as part of the effect. Those I was able to collect a bunch of. A fun souvenir. I would have rather have the apple, but beggars can't be choosers. If you aren't familiar with the movie and you haven't seen wicked it's kind of hard to follow as they cut so many scenes out. I suggest you watch the original movie before going to the Sphere. The movie is actually 120 minuets and they trimmed out 25 minutes of it. You may not think that's a lot, but it does make it a bit confusing. I am thankful that I saw both Wicked films and it really ties everting together. The had some fabulous merchandise and if money were no object to me I would have scooped more up. I settled for the white socks with the characters on it and the red poppies i really wanted the umbrella, but that was $75. And the fleeces coat I liked was $199 They closed the raised walkway from the Venetian, but it's still walkable from the strip. We took LYFT there because we were coming from the Rio and then we walked to the strip afterwards to hang out and then catch a LYFT back from a less busy spot. Overall it was a good experience. My husband came out confused due to the move was cut short and he hadn't seen wicket. We enjoyed the special effects. read more

I came for a Backstreet Boys concert and let me tell you, it never disappoints. The 3D effects and the colors are deep and astonishing. This is my 3rd time watching the them perform it never gets boring. I've sat on the top rows, the middle and the lower levels and all seating are great views. For the professional conference that I attended part of the program was the last night in Las Vegas party that they gave. This party consisted of a live concert by DJ Idris Elba (our Brand Ambassador and renowned DJ and Actor) and the most awesome Backstreet Boys! Let me tell you that the moment you come into the sphere it is absolutely amazing. There are LED lights everywhere to highlight any theme that someone wants to present. They're beautiful escalators led lights they're wonderful and beverage concessions everything is so well lit up and beautiful when you get into The Sphere as an attendee. Fast-forward to the concert OMG! The fiber optics and LED display inside of this concert. Venue is AMAZING!! the seats vibrate and you also get a wonderful sound experience as if you are in an actual movie or some type of a Hollywood production. The performers and the graphics everything was amazing. The music was fantastic. The sphere was nice but the seating I git did not have the full view of the visuals which was a bummer. Vegas: Day 1 No Doubt at the Sphere! I am usually not the person who records concerts. Much like fireworks, I've always felt they're one of those "you had to be there" experiences. But the Sphere completely changed that for me. This was my first concert at the Sphere, and it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Seats - we sat on the lower level, but not the floor. which was cool because we were close enough to see the band but also got to have seats. im too old to be standing the whole time. but i kinda wish we got to sit in the upper level cuz they got stuff dropped on them from the ceiling! Overall, the experience was cool, but in my opinion, it wasn't anything particularly spectacular or out of the ordinary. I watched The Wizard of Oz, and since we bought our tickets late, they ended up costing around $200 per person. For a movie that was only about 1 hour and 10 minutes long, it felt a bit pricey. There were definitely some impressive moments, such as the tornado effects, apples falling from above, and the flying monkeys, which really showcased what the Sphere can do. Other than those scenes, though, I often felt like I was simply watching a movie on a very large screen. I know the Sphere hosts some incredible concerts and live events, so I'd definitely consider coming back for one of those. However, for a movie experience alone, I'd probably pass next time. read more

This place is amazing and lives up to all of its hype. It is a wonderful addition to the Vegas skyline and is just a couple of blocks off the strip. They have commercial parking lots and a VIP parking lot near the venue. The VIP lot is very pricey. It is recommended to walk or use a rideshare here. I love the venue's exterior show. It has a bunch of advertisements, Wizard of Oz scenes, and a happy face. Late at night/early morning, the venue displays the moon and planets. The venue opened in September 2023 at a cost of $2.3 billion. It is directly connected to the Venetian by a tunnel. The venue is home to a Wizard of Oz 4D experience and hosts concerts, fights, and other special events. I came here for the Wizard of Oz experience. I sat in the last row of Section 307, and it was a really good seat. I felt the hurricane's wind and also got 2 apples. The venue has a few snack bars that sell light food, popcorn, snacks, candy, drinks, and adult beverages. Their prices are reasonable for an event venue. They also had two souvenir shops. Those spots are pricey. The venue is full of photo ops and photo stations where you can take a picture and email it to yourself. The venue was very, very clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The show itself was amazing. The movie was remastered, and the effects were first-class. They actually have flying monkeys during the flying monkey scene; they have real fire during the scene with the Wizard hologram; of course, real apples fall from the ceiling during the apple tree scene with Dorothy; and the best scene of all is the hurricane scene. You actually feel that you are there. After the show, they have a mini-show featuring the Wizard hologram and the man behind the curtain. It is worth staying for and actually makes it hard to leave. This is a must-see venue, even if you only watch the exterior show. With so many things to do in Vegas, this attraction/venue should be at the top of the list. read more

I went to see No Doubt at the Sphere. I recommend to avoid the back row seats in the 100 sections as your vision of the entire screen will be cut off. The show was good and I thought it was great how much Gwen Stefani interacts with her fans. My experience was pretty easy. I had someone drop me off by the west side of The Sphere. There is a stairway that leads up to the upper walkway. At the top of the stairs, if you go right you'll be going through the walkway that takes you to the Venetian. If you turn left you are at the security line to enter into The Sphere. The lines moved quickly and going through security was easy. Once you are inside of The Sphere you are at the main level. This level has concession and merchandise areas. There's plenty of staff that will let you know where to go based on your ticket. What's nice is they will allow you to bring an empty water bottle so you can fill it up from their water fountain. I didn't know this before and I ended up paying over $8 for a small bottle of water. read more

Since the Sphere opened, I've now been there three times. My first visit was for Postcard From Earth by Darren Emerson, followed by Illenium and No Doubt. I'll be honest -- while Postcard From Earth was a genuinely impressive immersive experience and interacting with the Tesla robots beforehand was a lot of fun, I wasn't completely sold on it at first. The ticket price felt high for what you get. It's probably worth it if you're a tourist visiting Vegas every so often, but for locals, it might not be. That said, seeing a concert at the Sphere is an entirely different level. The visuals are absolutely mind-blowing and incredibly difficult to describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it in person. Both Illenium and No Doubt put on fantastic shows, and I'm already looking forward to seeing more there. On the parking front: if you park at Treasure Island (TI) and walk over, it's free. At the Venetian or Palazzo, it's a flat fee of about $25-$30. I'm not sure what the Sphere's own lot charges, but since it's outdoor parking, I wasn't interested. read more

Such an amazing experience! Saw Kenny Chesney on his last day and the was like no other concert I have ever been to!! Tons of merch stations, don't get in line at the first one when you walk in! There were 150 in line at that stand and 10 at the others! Tons of beverage stations and a huge food station, the Hot Honey Chicken Tenders were very good!! Recommendation for the Sphere...add more standing tables to eat at! read more

My first visit to The Sphere was for a no doubt show, and it was amazing. We had floor seats and lined up early to get a good spot. The wait outside to get in was not too bad with some shade from The Sphere. The sound was great and the visuals were awesome. Standing on the floor, gave a much better view of the band than of the giant screen, although we were still able to see most of it images towards the top or a little harder to see. Looking forward to returning for another concert or movie being shown. read more

The good: love the visuals that are shown on the outside of the Sphere surface, constantly changing, oftentimes entertaining & humorous, and best of all, free from many vantage points (including many hotels rooms). Nice change of place venue for concerts plus The Wizard of Oz movie. The meh: while impressive, the theater is basically a super- large Imax theater with a gigantic atrium and super-long escalators. Food prices are fair by Vegas standards. The Oz movie was OK though the 4D effects were limited to paper leaves & butterflies, a few flying manikin monkeys, "snow", foam apples (maybe 100 rained down on the pricier seats, nothing at 400 level). The best effect was really the tornado winds at the beginning of the movie. The film cuts didn't really detract from the experience. The post-show in the lobby, while interactive, was short and slightly lame (similar to Finding Nemo talking sea turtle at Disney). The bad: value is wretched with tickets starting at $100, even for the nose-bleed seats, going up to $250-$300/seat. Until the connecting indoor route is made permanent between Sphere & Venetian, the approximate 1 mile hike to get to the venue can be a crowded hell, especially in 100+ degree weather. Might be worthy of a revisit depending on who or what's playing but expect to pay big bucks$$$$$ read more
