This is the first time that I was truly happy leaving a hair salon. Blanca made my hair look even better than I imagined it. I came into get my hair bleached blonde and she made it happen quickly, efficiently, and with a beautiful trim and blowout. And by trim, I mean a true trim, not 5 inches gone like most hairdressers do. I wanted to reverse my perm by using the same perming chemicals, just to straighten it instead. Blanca informed me that this could create more damage than good. She wasn't trying to make extra money off of a service that could potentially ruin my hair. So I came with this crazy messy multiple shades of faded red hair that's way long over due to get fixed. I wanted to change the color because let's be honest, maintaining bright red hair is just too much. So Christina Avalos was the unlucky stylist who got to work on my crazy hair. In my head, I literally felt bad that she had to deal with my hair lol But let me tell you, she's freaking amazing! I couldn't believe how pretty my hair got. I am always hesitant when I go to get my hair colored because I have never found a place that does exactly what I ask for, and I usually walk away disappointed. This is a review for Michele. She is amazing!!! She has been cutting my hair for 10 years. She has given me all sorts of cuts over the years including a curly bob, trim, pixie cut, and asymmetrical faux hawk. My hair always comes out looking good. She did a great job thinning my long hair out and did some major cuts for me. I cut 10 inches off my hair to donate twice and both cuts looked cute after. She did my prom hairstyles back in high school and they looked beautiful. I won't let anyone else cut my hair. She is able to look at a picture and tell me if what I want will work with my hair. I found this place by using Yelp for local salons in my neighborhood. I saw some great reviews so I decided to take a chance since I wasn't happy with my old hair dresser. The interior is huge and a lot is going on in there but it's organized. Crissy gave me a really flattering cut. Although the color was not what I was expecting, I came to like it after some time. It may have been my fault since I didn't tell her exactly what I wanted and was being vague about it. Next time I will definitely tell her exactly what it is I want and use her coloring skills to the full potential. Being my first time, I can tell that whoever you get there is going to make you feel welcome and like their best friend for however long they have you. I got married this last weekend and Allison did my makeup and Angeline did my hair. They did a fantastic job and I was thrilled with the result. If you are in the valley and want a top drawer cut without Beverly Hills pricing, this is a great salon. I have been going to Sally Santana for years -- and it took me a long time to find her. Not only is she a terrific stylist, but she stays current, so I always look put together and looking cool (for my age! lol!!) I generally like the salon. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is roomy and feels clean and modern (I hate a salon where you feel crowded in). Parking is easy -- always room in the lot. Sally stays on schedule and she works with you, as a client, to try and find the look you want...even if you aren't quite sure what that is. I've not tried any of the other stylists, but if Sally moved, I'd go with her. I didn't go for any cuts for a couple of years as I was growing my hair long...but the first moment I wanted my stylings again...boom...it was Sally. She usually works Thurs, Fri, Sat, so you have to time your cuts to her schedule...but again...worth it. The ONLY thing I don't like about the salon is that they only take check or cash and if you are like me...who likes her frequent flyer miles, then that is a disappointment. read more

Aside from CRISSY coloring my hair she saved the texture of my hair and brought it back to life!!!! I had gone to someone I trusted I thought could do my highlights and the guy literally fried my hair! I couldn't even run my fingers through my hair anymore. She listens to what you want and honestly thinks of your best interest. I once asked for a perm and she said she would not charge me $200 and do a perm that would cause me trouble when I have natural curl in my hair and could achieve the same thing with a defuser blow dryer.
