This is the best fitness center in the area, started by a local hospital, the trainers are all…read moreprofessional, and are all well educated. There are other gyms in the area but they all seem to have this "meathead" stigma, which Tamarac does not have, you will see all sorts of different people there of all sizes and ages, and the employees treat everyone equally. It's a little busy in the morning, but It's rarely a full house, you should be able to finish your strength training set without much interruption. There is plenty of cardio equipment too, I've never seen that area completely full either, which is nice :-) I myself usually try to go in the morning before work, the gym can be a little full then, but it's certainly doable. They did not scrimp on facilities, Cardio and strength training equipment is from Star Trac, they have the Fitlinxx system integrated into their equipment which is great for tracking your workouts. The locker rooms are kept very clean, the showers are spotless and well built and maintained and the buildings design is very modern and upscale. I would rate it 5 stars, but their hours of operation have been cut a bit, it's pretty easy to get in and have a good workout during the week, but they're closed on sundays, and close at 6PM on saturday which is a shame. The Aquatics schedule is always full too, so it's almost impossible for me to go and complete a few laps during Adult Swim. Those 2 negatives shouldn't deter anyone from checking the place out though! Their support structure is awesome, I've dropped 40lbs so far with their assistance and can't wait to see the other 100 go away too :-)

Really fun classes and lots of variety with the hours and options. The equipment is a bit old, but it still works great! Thankful I got to visit here for a week. I'll miss the amazing employees and fun classes!

Tanning, teeth whitening, and lash lift, oh my!…read more Lesson learned today is: You are NEVER too old to take care of you I took the dive today and kicked my fears and insecurities to the curb! Life is meant to be LIVED! Since cancer in 2020, I have had neverending adjustments with my body and mind that I continue to have to accept and figure out. Nobody ever talks about the continued changes that your mind and body experience and endure AFTER the chemo, radiation, and surgery. I thought that it would all be "back to normal" afterwards....and yet here I am, almost 5 years since diagnosis, and I'm still adjusting. It's exhausting and annoying...and sad and hard. Being thrown into menopause well before my time and watching the changes that the continued cancer maintenance drugs cause has made me feel older than I'd like. My bones have deteriorated faster than normal, my hair is thin (and I LOVED my long thick hair!), my eye lashes and eye brows are thinner, I've gained weight, my hair is fully grey (which was super weird), my libido is non-existent, I am always tired and have no energy, my memory is awful and I STILL experience brain fog (super frustrating!). While watching myself change, I find myself avoiding mirrors. I dress frumpy and don't put on make-up unless I have to. I just kind of stopped trying. I used to love vacations because I could pamper myself, enjoy family time, let loose, and forget about things for a bit. Soon I'll be leaving for a vacation that we've had planned and purchased for two years now....to celebrate my 5th year out since diagnosis and our 25th wedding anniversary with my amazing husband! I don't want to be frumpy on this trip! I want to feel GOOD about myself while celebrating with my fam! Today, I made a choice to FORCE myself out of my comfort zone and do things to help me feel better. I booked a spray tan session, teeth whitening, and eye lash lift and tint sessions. I was terrified to be standing in my undergarments in front of a total stranger as she sprays all of my rolls and crevices. Before today, I have spent HOURS talking myself out of things out of fear of what others will think. But today, I pushed through the thoughts and just went with it. And you know what? I feel GREAT! Emily was THE SWEETEST, funniest, easiest person to work with and she made me feel completely comfortable and relaxed. She kept me giggling, even with that big plastic thingy in my mouth holding my lips open wide (dumbest I've ever looked in front of a total stranger). I will continue to try and make the best of who I am now and even have my next session in the books! Yes....its first world problems. But I wanted to share, in case anyone else is putting off living and embracing changes. Just go for it! And make sure you get someone like Emily to walk you through it...because I had a great time laughing at myself today AND...my smile looks radiant, my lashes are poppin, and my tan looks phenomenal, I must say! I feel like a million buck Emily and Hannah are TRUE professionals!

I walked out feeling relaxed and beautiful. I've never left a facial feeling confident in my skin. Bethany was amazing. I will 100% be back in the future for more facials. She was very gentle when it came to washing off the cleansers + masks , no tugging, pulling, or roughness. The application of the products was soothing and not messy. This was my first lash lift and tint. So far I am loving it! I can't wait to come back and see Bethany again

I don't know where to begin, but know that this review will NEVER begin to cover how I feel about…read morethis office and specifically Dr. Tyler Guinn. I had an amazing initial experience with him to then be treated completely horribly and inhumanely by him in a number of ways. He left teeth 26 and 13 unfinished, causing me agony and suffering, and was completely negligent of my treatment as his patient. I am going to LOSE the teeth he started treating because he left them unfinished and no one would help me since they kept telling me to go back to him and he wouldn't help me even though it was HIS problem to treat. He treated me like I was the lowest human being on earth, and his justification? I was/am extremely depressed. So he gave up on me and treated me like I didn't exist and didn't deserve treatment. Because I was struggling. That was his justification. If you are ever struggling with these feelings, know that he feels you are beneath him. I hope one day he himself or one of his loved ones experiences that because he deserves to feel it first hand. I have been having extreme cold and hot sensitivity with 13 (which I should not be, indicating he likely left nerve tissue still in there or it's reinfected or cracked). I cannot eat and drink without suffering and he should be charged as far as I'm concerned. That is taking away basic human rights to physical nourishment, and he already knew I had an eating disorder, and I think he was intentionally doing that to starve me further and harm me intentionally. And he knew the physical agony I had been having with 26 and he left that unfinished to get re-infected as well. I am going to have to get a biopsy of it and get it extracted, and I very well could have osteomyelitis because of him leaving it open to infection. It was malicious intent. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing, putting me in harms way intentionally. He purposefully didn't finish these teeth so they could get reinfected and cause me harm. He not only didn't care if I had complications, he wanted me to have them. When I called to tell them that I was having problems with the treatment HE did, they told me they wouldn't see me. He never cared that I am suffering and struggling. Someone else tested 13 last week and told me it's still responding to cold and was basically a partially done root canal that is causing problems, and could be cracked at this point. I am taking this to LARA and I have already taken it to the MDA and I want to do more than that. I will take this as far as I can for the suffering he has caused me and the horrific feelings and thoughts running through my mind. He doesn't care about you. He's in this for the money and nothing else. I wish I could make it so he never touched another patient ever again. They ignored me when I called, refusing to call me back, and hanging up on me. One of the most unprofessional offices I have ever encountered and one of the cruelest doctors I have ever seen. Because I was struggling, that's how he chose to treat me. Like I wasn't worthy of care.
