Putnam Dental Associates-Dr Cafarelli From the very first…read moremoment I contacted this dental office, I knew I had found something special. A kind, compassionate woman answered the phone and immediately made me feel at ease, like I was more than just a patient, but a person who mattered. That feeling continued with my first visit. Meeting my dentist, Dr. Cafarelli, and his assistant was truly life-changing. It has taken me a lifetime to find a dentist like this--a man who is not only highly skilled and professional, but who also radiates kindness, patience, and genuine care. He is, without exaggeration, an angel in his field. The entire experience, from the front desk to the dental chair, was marked by warmth, understanding, and respect. I finally feel safe and confident in my dental care, and I am so grateful to have found this amazing team. If you're looking for a dental office where you'll be treated with empathy, dignity, and excellence, this is the place. I can't recommend them enough.

Everything is explained about cost and insurance that is accepted by the facility. Dr Ern and his assistant Patricia are two of the kindest people to meet. Dr Ern explains everything in detail and recommendations are suggested. I am not a dentist fan but Dr Ern takes the time to explain options; if one is a coward. I definitely recommend this facility because the workers work together to make you feel relaxed and worry free.

The relentless pursuit to take an unnecessary x-ray was unreal to me... I said No too many times…read moreto let it slide. This is no way to treat people. The bottom line is that it was unnecessary, even according to The AMERICAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION. Look it up, and you'll see that an adult with good oral health and low risk of dental problems should have x-rays taken 24 to 36 months. Realize even though it probably won't give you cancer... why the extra risk... I just told the people there I Just had them taken 4 months ago, and they were fine... Also, they are supposed to do an oral exam first to access if an x-ray is even needed. they skipped this step, and I believe that breaks the ethical guidelines; which obviously are to use the least possible amount of x-ray exposure necessary. But they didn't even mention till I was about to leave, that I can have my x-ray sent over from a few months ago; as if it was a final ditch option. I believe the x-ray on file was from within a 3-year period but they should have done their homework before calling me in for a teeth cleaning and then telling me they can't clean my teeth without an X-ray. SMH. And they really did try everything to pressure me into the Xray. At one point 3 people are there telling me all sorts of feer bait (nonrealistic things to say to someone who has had "no cavities ever") to make me think it was a good idea. And nothing they said made sense because I kept telling her I just had it done not long ago (which i did), so I'm not scared. Too many people don't make good calls and walk in like sheep, and they got used to nobody knowing about how they are supposed to do their job. Don't be stupid, don't take xrays you don't need. But also don't skip it when you do need it. These people gotta quit being greedy. What really got me was how at the beginning of the conversation I was allowed to sign a waiver to not get x rays but suddenly, with the form in the office lady's hand; she says the doctor refuses to see me unless I take X-rays. They basically thought I was soft or possibly already processed paperwork. Something felt like I was being targeted like "Watch me work the Xray on him" attitude. I even said to them it feels like its only about the money.

Ugh!!! Apologizes to the 1st reviewer. I am amending my original review which was done after the…read more1st visit. It was a good 1st appt. Downhill at a 1,000 mph after though. Broken lower molar. Needed a root canal or to have the tooth pulled. They got my husband in fast. Did X-ray and put him on precautionary antibiotics. Refused to make a follow up appointment.though claiming need for antibiotics to be finished. Told my husband if the pain continued (he was in periodic raging agony) after 3 days, to call them back and they would prescribe a different antibiotic, however no pain meds at all...broken tooth exposed nerve! Take a Tylenol or Advil!!! After 4 days he called and expressed the blinding pain he was still experiencing. They prescribed another antibiotic, no follow up or any plans for an exam. After another couple days, my husband came home from work, eyes watering and cheek hot & painful. I called Dr. Garlands office and was giving an appointment to see Dr. Garland the next day. My husband just wanted the tooth pulled now. He doesn't want a crown anymore, he just urgently needs the pain to end. I was called back within minutes by reception in Dr. Garlands office and he (Dr. Garland) couldn't call us himself but made her call and cancel the appointment & he refuse to see him even to examine to see why he was in so much agony. WHY? Um, BECAUSE they don't pull painful teeth. Now they claimed we needed an oral surgeon. An ORAL SURGEON to pull a tooth. A tooth Dr. Garland was salivating ($$$) over which would include multiple appointment and procedures but could not provide pain relief or pull the tooth. In the original appointment, pulling the tooth wasn't removed from options but a crown was a better idea and my husband agreed but the pain was 10 to 20 times a day, lasting from 10 minutes to an hour every single day. The receptionist was extremely nasty, rude, bitchy and toward the end of the call... nuts. Dr. Garland apparently isn't very confident in his work or he is in it just likes those big ticket items. Either way, in an emergency that your dentist help create by not addressing the severe pain, refused to do even an X-ray or see my husband when we called begging for help. We begged to just keep the appointment the next day, even to just be seen by the dentist again. Nope. They were so frustrating to deal with and in the end did NOTHING to remedy the broken tooth nightmare. Dentist...sheesh, whatever. Recommendation - find a larger dental office so you have options, they can confer with each other for solutions and you get a higher professional interaction with staff.
