However a stealthy act, I caught him taking pictures in my home on his cell phone, changed my rating. When I called him out, he said, "Oh, I didn't think you'd mind." If that were true, he would have asked me first and not attempted to hide his actions. I insisted that he delete the photos. He apologized but I felt uncomfortable and my privacy was violated. I just wanted to pay him and end the encounter. Later, someone needed a locksmith and remembered I had a recent service. They asked for my recommendation so I decided to share my experience.

We wanted to avoid the expense of towing it 20-some miles to the…read morenearest Ford dealer to cut and program a new key so I googled Rochester locksmith and called just about every result for a quote. As of yet, I am still waiting for a couple companies to call me back. Another well known Rochester locksmith said they could cut a key but NOT program it so it would still involve that tow to a dealer. Now that leaves the remaining 3 locksmiths that said they could cut and program keys. The lowest quote to the highest quote ranged almost $200...so glad I took the time to call around. A-1 was the second lowest quote but the locksmith with lowest quote was having equipment problems and was actually unavailable. Anyway, Mark from A-1 answered the phone right away and was very friendly. He took the time to double check the quote so we wouldn't be surprised by anything when he actually got here. As we live off in the country, he was great at communicating his ETA. While here, you could tell he has 25yrs of experience; he was courteous and he worked diligently on making sure the key was perfect. He went way above and beyond with this service and we cannot thank him enough. Hands-down, A-1 will be used again. They are the best choice and best deal for a locksmith!

I found the Berkman during my online search and thought the pictures were too good to be true. We were able to rent a two bedroom unit with living room and kitchen and it was perfect. Clean, modern, and streamline. The staff were kind and helpful, the facility was great, and there are even beautiful common areas. The Berkman is located directly across the street from the Entrance to St. Mary's hospital.

You pay for cooling and heating (not only in your apartment but for the common area as well). We were not told this or we never would have moved here. If its below a certain degrees outside (55 i think), the building automatically turns on heat and if its above 65 then it turns on air conditioning. Well, it gets up to 77 degrees in my apartment at night and it is absolutely horrible. I have turned off the thermostat and its still over 70 and I wake up several times throughout the night because its miserably hot. even with the windows open (they only open slightly so you don't get a whole lot of air from outside) but its so loud since there is a hospital outside and so many noisy cars at night that that makes it hard. Imagine how hot the gym is then.....I can't even use the gym here. Also, the garbage door for the whole floor is broken and doesn't automatically shut and people leave it open, leaving the hallway smelling HORRIBLE! I've discussed with management and the issue has never been resolved. This isn't just my floor, I know people in the building and it seems to be a problem on other floors as well. T he Dog area here is often dirty and the smells so bad, its enough to make you want to throw up. They don't irrigate it properly at all. It's disgusting. Be aware. The apartment themselves are okay but there its obvious they cut some corners here. I also was not told that my balcony door won't lock which makes me uncomfortable. This place is overpriced and there are some MAJOR issues. I wouldn't recommend for the price they charge here. Additionally some of the elevators are often out of order leading to long wait times, one person told me they waited over 15 minutes just to get on the elevator (which is an issue if you live on a higher up floor). They make you pay for parking. The parking lot is a disaster with very close spots and its 2 ways but going around the corners is very nerve racking as people fly by and you can't really see at all when making the turn. Really consider this before you get locked in here and pay thousands of dollars in rent. I was not from here and only had a quick tour before moving here from out of state and wish I had known about al these issues. The biggest the heating and cooling. Be prepared to suffer unbearable nights of sweating. Oh yeah and the power outages and lack of wifi....if you work from home or have work to do at home...forget it.....Also...There are spots in my apartment where I can't make phone calls because of the poor service.

We just met with Tom today to have him inspect our first new house purchase. We have not had any…read moreprior experience with home inspections and offer our experience up for consideration. Tom arrived with all the tools he would need to do the inspection. From reading on the internet, I guess sometimes, this is not the case and the buyer is expected to bring somethings. I liked that he brought all his own equipment as he knows what he'll need much better than I will. He is a very friendly and personable guy. He kept us engaged with teaching opportunities throughout the home and tips on how to maintain or maximize our home experience. He seemed very thorough throughout the inspection. Certainly we won't know for sure until we have more experience with the home and with home inspectors, but to our initial experience he seemed great. Tom invited us to contact him at any point for advice with any of our home needs or questions which we appreciated. All he asked in return was that if we appreciated his help to continue to recommend him on to others. I guess this is the best venue we have to do just that! When it comes to price, he charged us $375 which seems reasonable considering this was for a fairly large home and the inspection took about 3:30 hours. He was able to take credit cards at the point-of-service too, which rocks. All in all, I would recommend Tom to you for the above reasons. Cheers, and congrats on the new home!

Our home is currently empty and when we went by to…read morecheck on the house several days later we found the furnace had been turned off and left off. It was 45 degrees in our home. The fans had all been left on on high, my bathtub muddy, an outlet cover removed and laying on the floor, and a few outlets in need of resetting. We are so fortunate we caught it when we did and didn't have frozen pipes. I understand the other things but it is unprofessional and unacceptable to forget to turn the furnace back on in the winter.
