Since John works with kids, he had a program suited for the pre-teen age group and their emotional needs/communication that didn't feel "childish" to my 10 y/o. After about 2 weeks (1 session a week) , our family dynamic changed for the better. And the next time we saw family, they commented on my son's maturity and communication style being leaps beyond previous encounters. As parents we want to be able to provide everything our kids need, but leaning on a caring outsider like John to provide guidance felt like we invested in our child's well being for life.!

I'm not someone who talks about much, really, but this turned out to be the best investment I've made in myself. While it's expensive, it's worth it. Even just going for "maintenance" sessions is helpful. I started off every other week, but that wasn't enough, so I went once, sometimes twice a week for a couple of months. After that, I was able to use the tools she gave me in the real world, and the benefits really stick. You matter to people in this world, so you have to matter to yourself too.

I had a number of counseling sessions with Randi Devine because I was going through a divorce…read more When I felt ready, and decided I didn't need counseling anymore she tagged on a bunch of extra fees for my sessions clearly because she felt like she needed the extra money. I don't recommend her for counseling because she has made me feel like I've been robbed. I didn't have the emotional capacity to care about it at the time because I was going through a divorce, but I feel completely taken advantage of, and I certainly don't recommend her to anyone who needs help. I paid for every session in full, but somehow I still had a bill of $130 left over at the end. I was told there was a cancelation fee of $40 which is a scam in the first place, but there was no explanation of where the rest of the bill was coming from. Maybe she decided to change the price for sessions after we already had the sessions? I highly doubt that I'm the only one that has been ripped off by Randi, but I can see I'm the only one to yelp about it so far. Don't make the same mistake I did. Find counseling somewhere else.
