I met with Dr. Wein recently to try to ask his medical advice on an issue I have been suffering from for the past 20 years. Dr. Wein greeted me by insulting my profession and asking if anyone ever comes to my place of employment anymore. Dr. Wein was rude and sneering towards me after hearing that I had used the Internet and AI to research my problem. He also stated how very little time doctors have nowadays. So it seems rather counterintuitive to then be angry that a patient has the gall to look up symptoms and possible solutions on their own. I have never felt so humiliated as a woman in my life. I was unable to completely explain why I was there and what I needed because he belittled me so much that I could not bring myself to speak again. read more

I've been coming to this office for a couple of years now. The staff is great and always very helpful with anything I need. When I started my shots, I didnt have to wait more than 15 min, in and out. I'm glad I returned to continue my shots. read more

BEWARE! I went for allergy tests and Dr Wein was quick to get through the appointment and spent less than 5 minutes with me. The nurse completed the testing and was very courteous. They do provide you with a patient portal, but you can't see your test results or send an email, so what is the purpose? I was then told I had to pay the full amount of +$700 before leaving, and they could not provide me with an itemized bill. My insurance covered approximately $670 so I had a small refund due back to me. Since I did not receive any communications or statements from the doctor, I reached out for a refund. I was told I had to wait until the following month for it to show up in their system. I called the following month, and they said the checks for the month were already done and mine would be processed the following month. Good luck trying to get someone live on the phone as calls usually go to voicemail without a name or phone number. I finally asked for the office manager, Chelsea, who was rude and full of excuses. Checks are only issued once a month, and she would make an exception to process a check the following Monday. It was not mailed out of their office until that Thursday. BTW, the doctor does not have voicemail, nor does he return calls. Giving this doctor a 1 star is 1 too many, he should get negative stars. read more

Dr. Wein in 18 months did no blood testing on me. I saw him personally 2 times in this period. He's only available for new patients. He just treats you like a human pin cushion....he's not an immunologist or any I had before. read more

Do not go to this office! Very unprofessional. The woman at the front entered incorrect information into the portal regarding my prescriptions, and she also misspelled my name, which the Dr immediately sent a message to fix. They told me how much I needed to pay 'up front'. This was ambiguous. She should have said, we need the full amount TODAY. If it's not possible, then we have a payment plan, or don't come in until you have the full amount. It was around $700 after insurance -and they did not perform what should have been done- I thought since I had skin tests previously, they would've gone ahead and done the skin pricks with needles vs plastic (which they do initially), but they started over again. He handed me a BLANK piece of paper without any writing..not even my name date, physican..to indicate I had NO allergies. He did not tell me what the next step would be. And, I KNOW I have allergies as my Dr back in Indianapolis has found seasonal and indoor allergies, etc. It's the same type in both States. When I asked the Dr about this and the test they performed and why and if I would be charged the same amount next time--he abruptly answered, I don't know, it's up to your insurance. Mr friendly Wein quickly became very curt! Upon checkout, the person at the front was pushing to have me pay and wanted me to leave my HSA card number with them. Um..NO! I finally was given the accounting office. I called them--Stephanie--and she was very rude and would not open to any negotiations. She said I should have told them that I wanted a payment plan. How do I know if the woman at the front didn't make this clear??!! So, a few hangup calls from her- she needs to work on her PR skills--all she did was argue as if she was the only one with experiences in this world. They won't be getting payment from me unless I get an apology from them for how I was treated and for how I've been misled throughout the whole process. They threatened to hand this over to collections. To be honest, I would rather deal with collections than with Dr. Wein and his office. They appear to be more civilized! Just FYI - I called them today at 11am, and they person who picked up the phone hung up on me just after I said "I saw Dr Wein a few weeks ago...". I was calling to get an invoice, which i have yet to receive. I called back thinking it was an error and they just hung up the phone without a greeting. 2 attempts is enough. This place is to be avoided. Dr Wein is a scheme. They don't list an email address on their website. I made my effort. Let them spend more money on a collection agency. read more

Excellent allergist. Gave me shots and medicine that really helped my allergies. Very good at explaining how allergies work.

The billing manager, Stephanie, was rude, nasty and incompetent. She refused to continue allowing the doctor to treat me unless I paid them $800 for my serum, which was fully covered by my insurance. She offered little to no explanation as to why she claimed I owed $800; my insurance company wasn't even sure where that amount came from. She was rude, unnecessarily aggressive, and is obviously inexperienced as I kept telling her my insurance fully covered the serum, but she just kept telling me I'm responsible to pay that amount and offered no explanation at all(she didn't even explain to me that they would reimburse me after my insurance reimbursed them; a pretty important piece of information that she seemingly purposely withheld that easily would have diffused the situation). My treatment is now completely off schedule and I am unable to finish. 7 months of treatment are now wasted, as I will have to start over at a different facility, obviously. Moreover, since the office refused to continue to treat me while I was not in collection's, I will be reporting them for suspicious and possibly illegal practices. While the entire nursing and administrative staff at the Port St. Lucie office were all extremely lovely and professional, this seems to be a doctor who allows his billing manager to run his practice into the ground. There are many other allergists in the area who's billing managers I'm sure are not disgustingly incompetent, unnecessarily aggressive and completely unsympathetic towards their patients needs and situations. This nation is in the middle of a pandemic, the start of a second wave of infected people, with astronomically high numbers in Florida, and the one place I should be able to go to outside my home & know the employees are going to wear masks is a medical office. But NO, not this office! I went to Dr. Wein's PSL office & the receptionist had no mask in sight and clearly doesn't believe in wearing masks. She didn't greet me when I arrived on time, and decided to proceed with an unprofessional conversation about personal matters with someone instead of acknowledging my presence as I wanted to sign in. The nurses/medical assistants were nice but also did not believe in wearing masks. They had masks hanging off their ears & as soon as you get in a room, they took the masks off completely. They did not care if they were asymptomatic carriers or if they infected the patients. They did Not Care. When the doctor finally entered the room, he had a mask on his neck, and when he saw I was wearing a mask and was serious, he put his mask on his face. This is the most dangerous medical office I've ever attended. If a slew of people get COVID-19, they should trade it back to this office. I only give it 2 stars for the quick results to the allergy test, and the upbeat positive attitudes of the nurses. read more

After agreeing to talk with Dr Wein on my computer, a time was set. I get a call from his insurance person to go over my coverage. I asked her if this was going to be FaceTime on my computer, she said no he was going to see me in person. After driving one hour to his office, the receptionist told me it would be done on FaceTime on my iPhone and told me to go back to my car and wait for his call. What a bunch of incompetent help, I wasted two hours going to his office. I don't think Dr Wein has any idea how bad his staff is. I left and found another allergist. read more

After checking no less than 5 times on the cost and being informed it was covered by insurance and my out of pocket cost was 0, I was personally charged over $1200 for two visits and allergy skin testing. What was recorded as the results of that testing in my records was NOT complete. My medications were not called in and I have yet to receive them all as I was told. Have had trouble with this office since I started. Front desk gave lots of attitude, saying co pay was $300.00, even though my insurance co kept telling me it was $20. She would NOT speak to my insurance company and straighten this out. NEVER BILLED the insurance company in the 6 mos I saw them. I brought this up to Dr Wein, he said he "would look into it & talk to his staff." I started talking about my problems, (Assoc w/ rare disease he's treating), HIS RESPONSE: "I AM NOT INTERESTED IN WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY". I didn't speak, he finished examination, I went home, & a few days later I got a letter in the mail saying he could "no longer be my doctor". I'm now with an AWESOME, WORLD RENOWNED MD, 2.5 hrs away!
