A year later when it was time for the first annual followup visit they just couldn't be bothered. My wife recently had an appointment and blood work done, and then unexpectedly received a letter stating that the practice would no longer see her. We were told that because the doctor was now working alone and had too many patients, the office had conducted what was described to us as a "lottery" to reduce the number of patients. My wife apparently was one of the patients selected to be removed. I find this an extremely disappointing way to handle established patients, especially immediately after a recent visit and blood work. My own experience with the office was also frustrating. I called repeatedly for approximately a week trying to arrange blood testing and could not get anyone to answer my calls. When I called from a different phone number, however, the call was answered. What made the situation even more confusing was that they apparently intended to keep me as a patient while dropping my wife. After everything that happened, I told the office to remove me as a patient as well. Over the time we were patients there, we also experienced frequent changes in assistants and staff, which made continuity of care difficult. We are extremely disappointed with the way this practice handled communication and patient relationships. Regardless of how busy a medical practice becomes, established patients deserve clear communication, consistency, and professional treatment.
