I think I've been spoiled by bigger Michael's stores in the past, because this story is tiny! The decor sections really lack compared to other Michael's. They didn't have any all season stuff just mostly some leftover summer decor, very minimal (and let me say very unappealing) Halloween decor and a smaller fall like aisle. The fall wreaths and faux flowers were plentiful and really pretty color palates. The store seemed well stocked on party supplies, baking supplies and arts & crafts sections. I'm not a fan of being forced to scan my own merchandise and luckily this store lacks in what I went in for so I only had two items. I will most likely avoid coming to this location again and venture further out. This location is also closed on Sundays while others are not. read more

Anyway, I needed a specific item and Michaels was nearby so I stopped in. The lighting of the store is bright and cheery and the smell of "creativity" is eminent. Whether you are into sewing, paper crafts, wood crafts or jewelry-they have something for you. The store is laid out in sections based on activity-so it's easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. There are not a lot of employees on the floor-everyone I saw was up front. Sales are pretty great and have a good variety. However, the younger staff needs to work on professionalism in the workplace. While we ere in the process of getting checked out, the young cashier checking us out was chatting with the other associates on their mics saying and not speaking with us, the customers, she did say "guys I'm so bored, what should I get from Panda Express". Which was to her co-workers. Not only that, she was laughing loudly to her coworkers over her mic, playing around with items in front of her, and not working at an efficient pace due to being distracted. Someone should probably keeper a closer eye on the younger staff and teach work place etiquette. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a Michaels. I was trying to get a picture ordered in framing and the manager was standing at the back pretending to not see us so she didn't have to help. When another employee couldn't figure it out she went to ask and the manager and she was extremely rude and told me they don't print and I need to do it online. I understand they have to order it and that was all I was asking to do. She was very bratty and short with me and tried to make me feel stupid when really what I was asking for was not hard. She is lazy and should not be running this store. read more

Sooooo very underwhelming on the Saturday after Thanksgiving!! My main goal for the day was to get a Christmas Tree and a few extra ornaments because usually I decorate a 4.5' tree and I'm going all out with a 9' tree this year. Well my husband and I walked the isles forever and couldn't find anything we wanted. I was so disappointed because their ad looked pretty good. Just because we took the time to go there we bought 2 items. One was a center piece that I thought was going to be cheaper but the coupon I was trying to use expired like 2 hours before and then I had a 60% off a regular priced item but seriously could not find a thing we wanted so we used the coupon on some tiny stuffed animal. I loooove coming to Michael's and being inspired by all the fun arts and crafts supplies and projects they have. When they are running their sales and/or you have a 50% off or more coupon (which is fairly frequent) you can snag some great deals. I have seen the Faber-Castell and Pigma Micron pens for cheaper (with a sale or discount) at Michael's over Hobby Lobby. Michael's also carries the same if not more Strathmore and Canson brand art books than Hobby Lobby and I've seen sales like BOGO 50% off more than once a year. The Jane Davenport collection is so fun to look at - I wish they had more of her collection in stores. I've found so many planner goodies (read: stickers) here - again, on sale or with a coupon. Their Recollection planner collection is extensive and so fun. This is a crafts store, so you're not going to find a ton of artist-grade materials here. They only carry Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolors, for example. (A student grade watercolor brand.) But, like I said, it's fun to go and be inspired by the products. The sales associates at this store have all been knowledgeable and helpful at check-out and with returns and holds. The products are organized on the shelves and racks in an attractive manner and they always have fun seasonal items. (Though I will say Hobby Lobby totally blows them out of the water there.) This Michael's is a good size, but Hobby Lobby just down the street is bigger with a wider selection. But, for a clean, more modern look while browsing for art supplies and planner goodies, I find myself at Michael's. read more
