I was at the store at cumming market place, trying to check out at the self service . I didn't want to sign up for the membership but didn't know how to void it. The sales woman( I don't want to describe her as sales lady) was with another customer, asked me what's the problem. I told her I want to check out and didn't want to signup. she told me I have to learn to read! (What?) The customer came to me and told me she could help me. Then she helped me to check out and pay . I don't have the name of this sales woman . I was at the store at about 1:30, 5/ 25 , Memorial Day. And thanks for the lady customer who helped me. I wish she works there, much better than those rude, unhelpful ones. read more

I felt the store was very disorganized and not at all inviting! I went to look at the fabric section because of sale pitch of mailers of them having JoAnn fabrics for sale. I just had the most infuriating phone call with a "manager" at this store. The deadline for a coupon expiring is tonight and yet noone is working in that dept for a few days?? The manager cannot access the computer in the department to access an order saved because she has not been trained. Who is responsible then? How do they run these stores? That is unacceptable. ***Review is for the free kids events they have from time to time*** My kids have attended a couple of the free slime or other kids activity events held here. They've been located in the room on the right, directly when you enter, so that's super convenient. The staff that has managed the events have been polite. One person tending to many kids . I'm glad they stay calm and happy that the store offers these events. When I did make a purchase for an item, it was an easy process. Located in between Home Depot and Walmart. read more

This review is for the framing dept. of Michael's in Cumming, GA. I was disappointed with the backing and picture hanging hardware that was used for my panoramic antique photo. With the cost being over $200.00, you would expect the backing and hardware to be of better quality. Also, the glass was not of high quality either....it was not the non-glare that I asked for. My wife and I have, as proper retired persons, taken up brushes and begun to release the imprisoned children inside, who were jailed over 45 years ago when we became serious collegians and then adult career warriors. We participate in free classes held every Tuesday afternoon at the Lake at Berkeley Chapel, taught by a life long, now retired, art instructor. For now, our medium is acrylic paint on canvas. MIchael's is a favorite source for supplies because they have occasional HUGE discounts on paints, canvases, brushes, and other supplies. Today was 'Buy One Brush, Get One Free' day. Awesome Halloween sales going on right now. We went for paint supplies and left with $140.00 worth of paint supplies, Halloween and Christmas decorations. The staff was super knowledgeable and patient. We wandered around for about an hour, and finally went to check out. We apparently had picked up the wrong coupons ( seeming as we were not at kohls) and the wonderful woman at the check out let us use the store coupons. Saved a good bit of money. Also incredibly knowledgeable of where everything was in the store down to location on the isle... we were impressed! read more

I received customer service in the framing department that far exceeded my expectations! Caitlin was extremely helpful and worked with me to find exactly what I needed for a custom-frame order. She even called me later in the evening to let me know it was ready. I came home from the store and raved to my husband about the amazing experience I had! I wish I could give this location more than five stars. I basically spent five months of my life in that store as I planned my wedding. The staff was always friendly and eager to help me. It actually got to the point where if I didn't come in one day, they were worried - embarrassing, but true! The store is clean, the check-out is quick, and all of their sales are posted well.
