This Michael's is as good as any other Michael's you've visited. The hobby store is full of options to keep creative minds and families busy, including during holidays thanks to their rotating seasonal selections. Prices are about the same as any other Michael's. The biggest difference in this store is the cleanliness. Everything is exceptionally organized and neat. It really shows staff cares about appearance and helpfulness. An impromptu visit to make a return. The young employee at the register was welcoming & extremely mannerable. This store seems to be bigger than the Piedmont location & in better shape cleanliness wise. I made my way to the Arts & Framing department where that BOGO deal was still present, which was a plus. Also too, I noticed different inventory by a smidgen than my normal location. Located next door to Target with ample parking. read more

Came to this Michael's to grab some sticky letters. I love this Michael's. It's clean, organized, and so spacious. The workers are friendly here and always greet you as soon as you walk-in. I can always find everything in here because it's always so well-lit. I went Christmas shopping and Michaels didn't have any carts or baskets. I was walking around with twigs that were sticking to me in all, lights, floral wire you name it. The service was great because an employee saw me with all these items and decided to give me a big shopping bag to use to continue shopping in 1 piece. Value of the items were really good. read more

Pretty standard Michaels that could use a facelift. I stop by whenever I'm already at Target and need some supplies for my baking adventures! I was just there on New Year's Day (strangely and even depressingly, there was no background music, amplifying the few conversations taking place and carrying my little boy's yells of "Maman !" from wall to wall) and found the cutest cupcake cartons, which I never knew existed but appear to be everything I've wanted for packing up my American petits gateaux. I'll put them to the test this weekend and am crossing my fingers that they work out, because otherwise I'll flush $20 down the drain. There were some end-of-year stuff on clearance but after a bit of poking around, it seemed that all the good stuff was gone. You may find some things that could help with your celebrations at the end of this year though, so go soon! read more

I had the BEST experience with Tim in framing. 1) He did a FABULOUS job on my piece. The level of quality I received for the price was incredible. 2) Tim was incredibly kind and patient with me. He even helped with my mom via FaceTime. Lastly, the price / savings were not even comparable to anything else on the street. We needed to get a few pieces of art framed and this is the place to go. Great customer service and shout out to Tim in Framing. He use to work at a gallery and has a great eye and very helpful. Just note that no matter what sale is going on it is still going to be expensive for custom framing. Average frame for something like 18x24 with a mat is going to be $200 or so. Anyway, it's worth it if you have really nice art that you want to display. read more

They do some good work but I would warn you that if you are doing anything requiring a plaque do the work somewhere else. They outsource that work and their vendor is very unreliable. I placed an order on March 12th that was to be ready in March 26th. In March 20th the framing shop called me and said they were having issues with the vendor and would reorder it. I heard nothing and called back on April 7th and was told the same thing - they would reorder it. I told them if you have to reorder it 3 times they need to select a different vendor. Very disappointed with the service on this particular item. I have done a lot of business with them but now will have to reconsider for my next framing job. Find another vendor so it does not negatively impact your own business.....if I had to order the same thing 3 times it highlights a significant problem! Not sure why this is accepted behavior from a vendor that inhibits your ability to maintain your commitment to your own customers. read more

I've been really pleased with Michael's since they've moved to this location next to the Perimeter Center Target. It's bigger than their previous location on Mt Vernon. This location is tucked in the corner next to Ross and Target, and parking is never an issue. This location has more cash registers, and though it's rare that they are all manned, they will open another register if there are more than two people waiting to check out. This location offers the same classes for children, with a nice sized, clean classroom. It has a much larger decor section that you could get very distracted in. The staff are friendly and very helpful. There is a fairly large framing section as well. All in all, loving the larger store and bigger selection for all your crafting needs. There is always a coupon available, and they do accept mobile coupons so you can pull it up from your phone at check out. read more

Went to this store the week it opened. The AC was not working the cashier was indifferent to the level of being rude. Seems that we were not welcomed. We were in two minds to just leave without buying but did not want to be rude. Will not be going there ever again. Michaels is no longer on my list of business to visit. read more

After trying for days to get an item that I ordered online at the LaVista Michael's, I ordered the same item for pickup at the Perimeter location AFTER and this location came through for me. The other store was still "processing" and I had given up on them. I can always count on this store to process my orders quickly and their curbside pickup is perfect for me. It's further for me to drive but the fact that I don't have to be aggravated by non-response is worth the trip. Five star service. Thanks guys! read more

DO. NOT. ORDER. CURB. SIDE. PICK. UP. FROM. THIS. LOCATION!!!!!! I placed an order at 1:30, it is 5 in the evening, I called several times to ask for a timeframe as I don't live on that side of town, the last guy says "it'll be done by 7:00". I ordered painting supplies, brushes, paint, canvas, EVERYTHING IS ON THE SAME AISLE!!!!!! This process is horrible. You're better off going in and taking a chance on coronavirus than waiting on curbside from this location. read more

I have been going to Michael's for the past 20 years. Never before have I been treated with such rudeness. One of the female workers with curly brown hair tonight acted as though I was inconveniencing her by approaching her out the checkout desk. I was next in line. She was talking to one of her coworker/friends behind the checkout counter at one of the registers. Because they were talking on and on I thought it was safe to assume that she was waiting for the next customer in line. There was one other lady working hard at checkout. The line had about four people waiting to be checked out. After I placed my items on the counter, she acknowledges my presence and snaps at me then proceeds to sass me. She continues her sassing and tells me that she is not taking customers and why didn't I look to see if the register light was on. Wow, nice. Maybe she had a bad day...but really...this is the worst customer experience I have ever gotten at a Michael's. read more
