If you've been thinking about giving models a go, or are just looking for a place that has shelves lined with them, this is where you want to go. Since 2003, their owner Tim has worked on my trains installing DCC (digital command control) decoders and other maintenance work. In fact, when in the beginning I would go over to his house and he would do his work there. Over the years, he has opened up several shops and the business has slowly grown. It isn't the largest of train stores, but they don't carry any of the low-end, junk stuff that will break easily. I have heard that they are moving again to Greece, which ironically will be just a mile or so from where I used to live when I was in the Rochester area.

Each kid also got to choose a Minifig to bring home as their party favor. I was especially impressed with the cleanliness. The staff sprayed down the brick bins the kids played with, had hand sanitizer available throughout the store, and the bathroom was pristine. It even had a low sink and paper towels, making it easy for kids to use independently. The family brought in food from Domino's next door, which was super convenient and a hit with both kids and adults. I also love the idea of the LEGO trading program. My kids have plenty of sets at home, and I'm eagerly looking forward to clearing some out to make more space in their rooms!
