I've always wanted to check this place out, on my way to Buffalo we made a stop. This place has been here for over 90 years. Right on the Main Street , with this massive figure sitting on the roof welcoming you in. The store houses 75,000 items spread through four buildings and two floors. The candy section was my favorite, from the old fashion candy of our childhood.. wax bottles, candy cigarettes... but I had to buy some Charleston chews... chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavored! They also have candy sold by the pound, I got some chocolate sponge candy. Right by the candy section is sandy mechanical horse the kids can ride for a dime. So many different departments to check out. Collectibles, key chains, glasses, wallets. Seasonal had all their summer stuff, garden tools and bird feeders. Household and kitchen area with all sorts of tools and jar foods. Jelly, spreads and baking sets. Large fabric and yarn area too. The toy area was very popular, so many little gadgets from polished rocks, wind up toys, games and figures. Stop in a discover a step back in time.

What a neat place to visit. Very large store with all kinds of knickknacks and such. You could browse for about an hour and not see everything. Definitely a cool place to go on a Sunday or Saturday afternoon. Things you never know you needed you can buy there. You always end up buying something. It's a real fun place for the whole family with kids stuff there as well everything is priced reasonably. It's nestled in the small town of East Aurora. A lot is walkable from there. Enjoy.

Vidler's is a classic that's been around since 1930. A true landmark on East Main in East Aurora. The upper level (toys and candy) is a must stop if you have kids or haven't given up on being a kid yourself. For the adults, lots of house & kitchenware, specialty foods and crafts on the lower level.

This place is incredible! Was in here for an hour, and probably only saw 1/3 of the store. Lots to look at, charming aesthetic, very friendly employees. Loved seeing all of the throwback games and toys, and oddball items. Spent $200 very quickly here, even though most of the things here are inexpensive! Can't wait to come back when there's more time to explore the store!

If you want to experience some old time nostalgia you really need to check out Vidlers. The only other place that I've experienced like this is the Old Forge Hardware Store in Old Forge NY. This is a great place to wander around from one section to another discovering things you might not have seen in years (maybe games, lunch boxes, or penny candy) along with numerous items you never knew you wanted or needed, maybe a new kitchen gadget. Vidlers sells everything from the above mentioned games candy, & kitchen gadgets, to holiday items, clothes, books, gifts, cards, etc, etc. If you want it, they probably have it. Half the fun there is the exploring. Vidlers Norman Rockwell type of charm has ever placed them in a few made to TV movies! Check them out (the store and the movies).

Very cool place! So much stuff!! I got there about 20 minutes before closing time. They were super nice. This place is multiple floors and multiple rooms. Different things on each floor and in each room. From candy to cooking they have it all. I got some candy and a couple sodas as well as some Hot Nashville Dill Seasoning. Next time I'm in town I will give myself more time there.

Sick and tired of the same lame stores try this place. There's treasure in every nook and cranny. I personally was sick of looking at a white wicker bathroom garbage can so I went to Vidler's to grab myself a 3 gallon crock they use for pickling and I now use it for my Bathroom garbage can. I love it. This thing doesn't come off the floor when you go to change the bags. Every single time in the last 25 years that I've gone to the store the staff has always been friendly and informative. Professional tip though buy a bag of popcorn when you go in and enjoy it while you're there.

"Sandy" a dime a ride...only for the little kiddos.

If there was ever something you thought you might need, but you weren't sure where you needed to go to find it, you should try this place. This place has everything. And I mean everything, from about 1980 to present day. I felt like I've never been in a place like this before, but it also felt like I had stepped back into my childhood and some of it was oddly and nostalgically very familiar. Here's a short list of just some of a few of the. Imperiums things you can find here: camping and grilling supplies, craft supplies, shoelaces, puzzles, Play-Doh, socks, candy, coloring books, charging cords, backscratchers, kitchen gadgets, cookie cutters, aprons, mops, candles, soap, party supplies, board games, costumes, tshirts, yard supplies, water shoes, tent stakes, and SO much more.

The first time I went to Fowler's was to buy sponge candy for some friends in Florida. My friend Tasha sent me a book that turned out to be one of the best I've ever read. It's an old book and out of print, and I kept the book longer than was honestly acceptable, so when I mailed it back I wanted to include something special. I sent a box of milk chocolate and a box of orange milk chocolate sponge candy. Needless to say, I was forgiven. The shop is small, but don't let that fool you. There's a lot packed inside and it's plenty of variety. Wonderful gifts or treats for yourself. I went back just before Christmas to pick up a couple of boxes of sponge candy for my best friend, and the associate working at the counter offered to wrap them up for me. The customer service has been top notch every time I've been in there. The store is clean and organized in a way that makes it easy to find what you need. There's enough parking and it's easy to get in and out. Seriously, Fowler's; let's hang out more, okay? I promise I'll come see you more in 2025, and it would be great if you wanted to by my place, too. I'll put the coffee on if you bring the chocolate.
