I went into the store looking for a couple things-- face paint and henna tattoo supplies. They don't have henna, but Elizabeth gave me a couple suggestions for other places I could look, which I thought was sweet. She also tried every possible way to get my gift card to work, though I think I used it all up and forgot to bend it in half like I usually do, so it definitely wasn't her fault. I came in to buy citric acid for a project and saw online it was listed at $5.39. But in-store? They had the nerve to charge $8.99 for a tiny 3.4 oz jar from Lorann Gourmet -- that's outrageous. Meanwhile, Walmart sells a 12 oz container for only $7.23. Do the math -- that's over 3x more product for less money. When I brought this up at the register, the employee straight-up told me they couldn't honor the online price. No apology, no effort to help, not even a 30% discount to meet me halfway. Just a cold, "Sorry, we can't do that." Needless to say, I won't be shopping here again. I'll be ordering my ingredients online or going somewhere that values customers -- like Hobby Lobby, where I actually feel appreciated. This place lost my business over a $3 difference and a lack of basic customer care. Do better. read more

"May I help you with anything?" I used to be bothered by that question, especially at a clothing store, but at a big box one like this? No one cares really. It's not the employees faults, though. The ones with whom I interacted were pleasant. And of course, I want to be asked, because I do need help. Like any big box store, it's not intuitively laid out. Where are the candles? The store has tons of kids crafts and things for the adults too. A lot of great specialty items as well as holiday crafts. Unlike the other 3 reviews, if I needed to find something, I asked the employees, who when asked we're glad to help and friendly. read more

This is such a poorly run store. My daughter turned 16 in July and really wanted a part time job. She applied here and went in for an interview. She called to follow up with 2 weeks and was offered a job. She got an offer letter and was told to fill out some info online. 2 weeks go by and we hear nothing. She called to speak with the store manager, but he wasn't in. So we went in and my daughter spoke with Ryan, the store manager. He said there was something wrong with their system and that she needed to reapply, but that he would accept her right away. As a long time retail manager, none of this made sense, but she did just as he said. Within minutes she received a second offer letter, this time for seasonal employment. Once more she had to fill out info online. This was a month ago and she hasn't heard back. At this point, I will not allow her to work here. In all of my years I have never treated a candidate like this, especially one who did really well on an interview and very clearly had the desire to work. With all of the trouble places are having finding people who WANT to work, this is a real disgrace!! You need to do better! read more

Roam around a lot to find numerous items. As many of the stores in Lebanon, I have had trouble finding what I need ( with a list of 10 items, generally have to head out to 3 different stores.) , not much selection of new or different things , better choices and selection and actually more pleasant employee experience at Michaels in Lancaster.
