The cleanliness of this store is why I gave it a 1 star. I got to the store at 9:03, they only opened at 9. First place I went was to the bathroom. I found a terrible disgusting mess. I told the first worker I saw when I came out of the bathroom that it needed to be cleaned up. She said to me "it's cleaned every morning before the store opens!" If you look at the pictures I have posted you will see... there is no way it got this nasty in a just a few minutes. read more

Hobby Lobby has long been on my bucket list and now I can finally cross it off. How I managed to stay away this long is beyond me! If you craft, sew, draw, color, decorate, baking, scrapbook, crochet, paint, and just about do anything creative with your hands than this place is for you! It is definitely worth the drive from almost anywhere! First off the size was rather unexpected. It is literally the size of a Walmart filled to the brim with every supply for every sort of craft you can imagine. Aside from craft supplies the home décor section was quite extraordinary. If you are a fan of Home Goods, Wayfair, and the like you will love the home décor item selection here! I saw rugs, lights, drawer pulls (no more run of the mill Lowe's pulls for me!), artwork, baskets, home office supplies and the list goes on and on. If you are a fan of all things alpha - think large, or lit, small, or clear letters you will love the selection here. I haven't seen so many types and sizes of letters in one place...ever! Joanna Gaines would love this store! Did I mention they also have cards and party supplies? Whether you're planning a DIY wedding or hosting a baby shower they had the supplies to not only decorate, but craft, serve, and favors to boot. Did I mention that you can sign up for email offers and obtain coupons online? I didn't know but at the register with money in hand the cashier was happy to assist me obtain a coupon for 40% from my cell phone that I used right there and then! Prices were comparable to both AC Moore and Michaels, but the selection far exceeded the stock of the top three crafts stores; Ac Moore, Michael's, and Joann Fabrics combined! I told someone recently about my experience and she frowned on me because of the company's conservative views on gay marriage etc. Sorry, but not sorry! Whatever they do or don't believe in will not deter me from visiting again. And visiting again soon I will. Next time I'm leaving hubby at home, grabbing a girlfriend and spending the day! read more

I really like this store. Despite what some may say about the conservative owners/management or whatever. This store is great!!! It is way better than the other craft stores, it totally TRUMPS them! The prices are lower, the selection is better and they have the coolest dishes, ceramics and stuff for the home. Almost everything that I purchased was 50% off and I then had a coupon for an additional 40% off a regular priced item. I was very pleased with the selection and the only downside is that the store is far. I am in PA, but moving back to the DC area in Bethesda and there are no stores in DC or Montgomery Co. I would have to drive to Laurel, MD which I certainly will do. read more

Rude, racist, homophobic and ageist. My fiancée and I have been wedding planning for months. (We are a young interracial same sex Couple). We've consistently used hobby lobby as a location for good quality items for invitations and planning but today at the lebanon valley mall hobby lobby I am appalled by the behavior of the employees. We entered the store and were greeted by a young woman who smiled and was kind (the only one in the store). We then continued on to the front of the store wedding section browsed options and opted to get individual items from the paper and envelope section. We looked for quite some time and to our dismay they did not have the items we were looking for so we tried to get a plan together and make the available items work. No one bothered to help us or ask if we could use assistance. No one in sight. So we walked through the store looking for options and any possible associate. Nothing. Finally we give up and go back to the paper section to settle on something. At which point SECURITY is called on us. We continue to make our selections and continue on as normal. A woman begins following us and watching our every move. We smile and continue on trying to ignore our stalker since no other person (middle aged white women) in the store is being stalked. Head up front go to chEck out with our $35 of items using no coupon or anything. The manager proceeds to call the young woman and tell her not to let us leave. The young girl is obviously annoyed (thank you for being sensible). WE are then watched throughout our entire check out, questioned and monitored as we leave. SERIOUSLY?! looks like amazon can have the rest of wedding business. Absolutely disgusted by these people. If you HONESTLY thought we were stealing search us call the cops but don't be pansy ass holes. read more

I love this store and staff! The atmosphere is lovely especially the displays. I can always find assistance when needed and this is my number one craft store! 99% of the time I can find just what I need for whatever project that I have worked on. VERY disappointed. I shop here all the time and give my money to this business very often and the one time I did not like something that I bought 2 months ago they will not return it because they no longer have it in stock.... I'm sorry how is that my fault? it took them 30 min to find an associate to go check if there was any in stock. They both stood there waiting for someone to come help instead of going and checking for themselves... LAZY!!! I will never shop here again. read more

This store is actually 2 hours away from me, so I actually plan a day around a trip here. I stop at other fabric stores and places on the way here or on the way home. This is just a fantastic store for people who craft. It is huge so the selection is excellent for so many different crafts. The prices are the best! They have an online store of course but when it comes to crafting I like to see the colors and quality in person. The only wish I have is that they had a location closer to my home. read more

I went in with no expectations either way, but assumed it was "self-serve" in all respects. I took large photos with me in order to help me better choose frames for them. There was no check-in and tag requirement for those. When I was shopping for frames I was approached with an offer not only to help choose frames but to install the photos for free. As I had several with me, the helpful framer saved me an awful lot of time and energy, not to mention the skill with which these were put together. I have more to frame that I've put off for years and will return HERE. It's over an hour away, but worth the trip. read more
