Love Michaels as I am a fan of the arts. This place is great to go and buy one thing using the 40 percent off coupon they give all the time. There sales as well are always worth it and I am always watching for frames, canvases, and paints. I recently bought my holiday wreath which was 50 percent off and so pretty. Today (on Black Friday) my boyfriend and I went searching for a tree and ended up at Michaels because of there amazing tree sale and Donna helped us right away. She showed us to the best tree for a great price and helped us get in and out of Michaels quickly! Love my tree and Michaels! Will always go back! read more

I used to love going to Michaels...when I needed a certain item or just to browse. About 10 days ago, I went to the register and the cashier ( I won't mention her name out of respect) asked me if I was a rewards member. Then proceeded to ask me if I would like to join...i told her "no thank you, not at this time". She kept after me. When I repeatedly said "I'm all set, no thanks", she sort of rolled her eyes and made a comment, that it wasn't a smart idea NOT to be enrolled. I barely got a thank you from her. I grabbed my bag and left. And told myself that it will be a long time before I go in there again. I will stick to Hobby Lobby in Athol for now...My one question, are the employees getting commission on how many people sign up for the rewards???... read more

I am not a crafter but stopped in for items for my Halloween costume. They only had some of what I needed. No one was out on the floor to assist customers. Three people were on duty all as cashiers and there was still a line though it did move. Prices were about what I expected. read more

This is the biggest Michaels in the area. I've been to the Natick store, and the Shrewsbury store, this is the only one to go to. It's 3 times the size and has so much more product. It may be a little farther but well worth the trip. read more

I love Michael's and I'm in the middle of planning my wedding, but the last time I went there I had an awful time. One of the employees, an older woman with glasses, was EXTREMELY rude. She acted like I was bothering her to ask her questions. Also, couldn't find everything that i needed or wanted. Might start doing my wedding planning elsewhere. read more

Awesome place, staff could have been a bit more friendly! Lots of scrapbooking stuff! Aisles labeled wrong!

Virtually no problems at all with this Michael's. My only complaint is that I have a hard time finding what I'm looking for because some of their signs are not properly matched to the aisles, but a sales associate let me know that it's because they've been moving things around. As long as they make sure to move the signs to their proper locations once the reface is complete, I'm happy. read more

I've used the custom framing before and always been pleased. This time I made 5 trips for what should have been 2. I had 3 pieces framed. I will refrain from using actual names of employees. Two were done properly but the guy said he wasn't sure what I wanted for a hanger. He gave me hardware and a role of wire to do myself "so I wouldn't have to wait" any longer. Imagine my surprise when I actually looked at the wire he gave me and realized it was nothing like what they use on custom framing. In fact, it was too thin to use, so I had to use some other I had on hand. The 3rd piece was a disaster. At first the mat came in wrong. He had it ready to go until I noticed part of the photo border was showing and part was not. He then acknowledged it was wrong. He stated it came in wrong. Well, that's because his measurements were wrong! He told me he would cut the mat properly and it would be ready in 2 days (Sunday). On Sunday I called and spent 15+ minutes on hold for the frame dept. I decided to wait until Monday. On Monday I called and spent more than 20 min on hold again, for this department specifically (the store picked up- it's the dept that didn't). I decided to go anyway. The mat had not been touched. The girl working tried her best to cut a new mat, but it just didn't look right compared to computer cut. They ordered a new mat to be rushed. Four days later I showed up and the original guy was there. He asked if there was a problem the last time I was there !!! REALLY ??!! He tried to say I misunderstood that he would have it "ready for Sunday", he said "Wednesday". Wrong, others heard him say Sunday- no room for misinterpretation. Now that I've had time to cool off, these are the facts no emotion involved. Further, I saw a Mgr and explained the scenario, only to get "I apologize". A partial refund, gift card, etc would have been appropriate but I shouldn't have to ask for it. SO, 1) he should have been honest with me up front about the mat cut and the wiring scenario, and his failure to have the mat done when promised He SHOULD NOT have tried to "BS" me which made me even more angry. 2) After being told that I drive 30 minutes to get to their store, both this guy (dept Mgr) and the store mgr should have been offering some type of compensation. I gave this 2 stars because I have had good experience in the past. Had I rated just based on this most recent, I would have left LESS THAN 1 STAR if it were possible! read more
