Well, I think this place may struggle being wedged into the back of the shopping center like this. Regardless, we went to see what art supplies we can come out with. Sadly, it was what I expected, pretty light on some stuff we were looking for, such as particular leads for pencils. They were also getting ready for Halloween already, guess Summer just does not cut for all those crafty types. Though, it is also worth noting that it does look like Nintendo is taking a more prominent presence in the store, with many Mario themed activity kits and such. I stopped in today to research and purchase a Cricut machine. Having zero experience with this machine, I asked a sales associate for assistance. That associate put me in contact with Kris. Kris was absolutely incredible and answered each and every question I had. She broke down what I needed and all the options and choices I had. These machines are fairly expensive and accurate information was really necessary and helpful. Ultimately I made the purchase and felt secure I knew all I needed to know. Now that Party City closed Michael's is advertising they have balloons. They do not want this business. I went in today for 7 balloons. The guy at the balloon counter did NOT want to help me It was obvious he didn't know what he was doing. He called a female manager who lectured me about doing an order online and I would have to wait blah blah blah. I said no problem. She reluctantly helped me overfilling most of the balloons. Of the 7 balloon, 4 immediately popped as soon as I left the store (80123 location) i didn't hit anything. I was super careful. They were overfilled Waste of money and time. Very very very rude service. Teach staff how to fill balloons properly or don't advertise doing them. What a waste of money read more

Ordered a christmas tree online for in store pickup. Everything went fine but when we got home we looked at the receipt and they charged us a 10 cent bag fee and had stapled a bag to the side of the box. read more

I was in this location this morning to get some thread for my daughter. I would have been looking around for who knows how many minutes looking for this small item if a guy named Antonio hadn't OFFERED assistance! Thank you so much, sir! Usually when I come to this store the teenage employees have NO interest whatsoever in offering help of any kind. This experience today was out of the norm and totally unexpected! Please give Antonio a raise and tell him how appreciated he is and for him to keep up the good work! When I went to this store at checkout there were 2 cashiers one in front of the other. After redeeming a coupon, I got distracted helping my mother pay. I put my phone on the counter to have it available for my checkout and in an instant my phone was gone. I asked my cashier what happened to my phone and she claimed not to have seen it. I noticed it on top of the other cashier's cash register & had to grab it. This was not an accident. I wonder how many cell phones have gone missing in this store. read more

The last couple of visits have been unpleasant. The store may be clean and adequately supplied, but there is always a wait at the cashiers. When they bother to get help, it is unorganized and if you have been waiting patiently people from the end of the line jump ahead. The cashiers are rude. read more

I I am a professional designer/artist and I spend thousands of dollars here every year. The last time I came in I had a 20% off coupon. The lady behind the counter insisted on doing two transactions, Some thing I did not request. She then applied the 20% off to a few $1 and $2 items for the first transaction, and then on the second transaction made me pay for the rest of my items without applying the 20% off coupon. I also had a $5 voucher which was emailed to me yesterday. The cashier couldn't figure out how to apply the voucher so she told me it wasn't valid. Not the best experience.... read more

I went to this Michael's to get supplies to make a memory board and a memory tree for my father. Not being from Denver area I was unfamiliar with the store and wandered around aimlessly for a bit trying to find things and how I was going to do what I needed to do I ran into Jamie who works there and she helped me put everything together for the memory tree and also found the three panel board to do the memory picture board. This is a very difficult time and when you run into people who help make what you have to do easier it is very nice but she went above and beyond her job and expressed compassion and kindness at a difficult time. I like to come to this store on occasion. The store seems more cramped than other stores, and I'm not sure why. They have many of the same items that the other stores carry. The employees are efficient and they seem to get people out the door a lot faster. When a line starts forming, I've found that they actually open another register, instead of standing around straightening items. When I realized I bought the wrong item (color-wise), an employee let me switch it out without a long drawn out process. I appreciated not having to deal with a big hassle, especially since it was my own mistake. read more
