She doesn't have malabrigo, because she understands the value of her shop space; she's using it to curate the finest selection of fibers and yarn bases I have ever seen and cutting out the yarns you can find everywhere. She's also has the largest selection of BIPOC owned and dyed yarns I have ever seen, if you're looking to support that! Meredith was super nice and greeted me when I entered but didn't hover over me and let me look around. If you actually look at all of the yarns she's got, be prepared to spend at least an hour in the shop. I took tons of pictures so that you can see what I saw-- a very finely curated selection of superwash and non-superwash yarns, hand dyed and local yarns, as well as some of the finest that Europe has to offer. She even has CaMaRose Snefnug, which I had never seen in a shop before. It's all priced competitively and the whole shop is decorated beautifully in a rainbow of colors. The folks on staff when we visited were super nice and helpful at showing us around. Agree with the reviewer who shops the remnants room - that was me as well. Beautiful finds there! They also have a really nice selection of buttons that you won't find elsewhere. I was in the Mesquite area about a month ago and I had placed an online order for a Place & Time…read more"possum" ornament after hearing about how cute they are at another location. All surrounding stores were sold out. I went to shop in the aisles first and looked at the ornaments but didn't see a possum. I thought if they were really cute I might pick up another one. But didn't see one. When I went to the counter to pick up my order, the manager so kindly apologized that he spent at least 10 minutes looking for the possum ornament. I thanked him so much for trying to find it. I did end up buying 2 different ornaments because they were marked down to $2 which was less than the price when I shopped online. Although I was unable to get the item I ordered I really appreciated the managers excellent customer service.

I stopped in Needlepoint This, because I'm going all in and I'll now be that woman who visits every LNS. All of the ladies in here were lovely, welcoming and helpful. I quickly let them know I'm brand new and looking to start needlepoint quite soon. I picked up a Waffle House canvas (my first 18 count as my blueberry pancakes is a 13) and some thread. Jane was especially kind to not have me spend too much seeing as though this will be one of my first projects and helped select essentials thread for my stitching. There's that itty bitty part of me that always wants the good stuff but I'm sure this will be just fine seeing as though I'm not even certain how this whole new found desire to make this a hobby of mine will turn out. I stitched my first stitch with Jane and she was very encouraging and supportive. Their classes are sold out for the remainder of the year which feels common in the area. I'm really hoping to find a great one somewhere because I love hands on learning and feel most comfy around a professional to get started and answer questions that will undoubtedly arise. We'll see, as each day passes I'm growing more confident in just starting on my own with videos. I now have just about everything I think I'll need to begin. Jane gave me a project bag and some travel scissors in addition to a couple other needles. I liked her suggestion to not use stretcher bars, although I have some I may experiment with different ways to see which I prefer. Parking is a little wonky in the area due to construction on Lovers Lane, I'd suggest trying to park across the road if you can't snag a spot on their side.

They had so many interesting things I wanted to purchase for my home! Their displays have really good ideas for decorations and such, and if I only lived close, I might have made out with some good buys! But there is one close to home, and now, it's my go-to not just for home decor, but if I had the need for crafty things. And the staff are incredibly nice. I asked my husband to go with me and that's how we ended up here. So we found the boxes and proceeded to grab 5 of them. We noticed that the self checkouts were all card only, but one. The guy in front of us used it and then walked away- so we went to the register. The lady looked at us and was like "ugh, can I help you" and we said yes we have these. She was talking on the radio and kept telling us to use a self checkout and I said I had cash. She was like ugh and said I will see if I can get someone here. Mind you we were standing in front of her for more than 5mins. And My husband was like no it's fine don't worry about it he would just use his card and she just was like okay and walked away. I understand if you're are in between something, but being in retail you assist the customer or explain the situation like "I'm sorry I don't work up here, but I can definitely have someone come up here to help you if you don't mind waiting for a minute," but no she just doesn't say anything and was like she wanted to get away and rolled her eyes.
