Since Michael's added their self check out lanes, Aaliyah (cashier) intentionally moves like a turtle and seemed to be having a leisurely chat with a customer about balloons. I went in and a customer that was at one of the registers was still at that register when I was waiting to check out. I was encouraged to go to self but I did not want to so I stood there for about 15 minutes by myself, the only customer in line, waiting. The self supervisor was standing in the aisle waiting for customers but she couldn't check me out on a register. . It was absolutely absurd. Michael's has poor customer service, and Aaliyah is completely passive aggressive and super slow. read more

Michaels saved us (outside balloon helium filling) when Kroger sent us away. As fyi you need to check out first (helium cost) then the lovely lady will blow up your balloons. If you are in a hurry plan for this to take time. There's only one person working at the balloon section. read more

The review says "What could improve?" Well, the answer is "Everything!" Come during the week if you can, the weekend is a hot mess. There were only 3 workers and the returns line was severely backed up. I literally had to just wait in the line for 40 minutes in order to get help from someone. We then proceeded to wait for another 30 minutes while the worker was "finding someone else to help" (not sure why she couldn't?) but then avoided us altogether and I had to wait back in line again. Finally someone assisted after 90 minutes in the store, and having to ask twice after the first girl with the pink hair blantantly ignored us and left us waiting for so long. Not a good look for this store. I'm severely disappointed. read more

I have visited this Michael's at least 3x/week for years. The customer service gets worse and worse and worse. From associates telling me "I shouldn't be checking you out I should be clocked out already" to REFUSING TO FILL MY ORDER THAT IS ALREADY PAID FOR and being nasty on the phone about it, the past month this Michael's has become UNSHOPPABLE due to the terrible customer service. As a full time crafter, I'm now forced to make Hobby Lobby work for my business. 0 stars. Absolute monstrosity. read more

the employees here act like you are such a nuisance for asking them any questions. some of them didn't even stop walking when i was asking them a question and didn't even look at me. every time i've been here recently it has been that way. i won't be coming back to michael's, should have gone to hobby lobby. read more

I overheard a conversation between the manager and an employee. She showed her a cabinet with broken Halloween items they could not sell that the employees may take home. Being that I am spending a lot of money in Michael's, I explained that I am doing an event at a Haunted café for children volunteering. I asked could she help with any broken items. She rolled her eyes and said " no they are not for customers". I knew I loved Hobby Lobby. Michael's lost my business. Michael's is a huge craft store with a large selection of different arts and crafts for everybody. You can find everything here from seasonal decor, scrapbooking, knitting, planners, and much more. They are always organized and well stocked. Finding staff can be difficult, not sure if they are short staffed or it's just a big store to run into one. There's amazing deals on most of the items and a ton of discounts on certain days. Be sure to check out their website if you plan on buying or getting coupons. Trust me you'll save so much for doing that. Overall, great value for crafting needs; look no further than Micheal's. read more

Great selection of merchandise, good sales and good prices, but boy do they stay understaffed. You can't find a worker to help you, EVER!! I like the store overall, my wife and I love to spend money with them, but they have to do something about the help and the scheduling of employees. It is terrible. I spoke with the manager and he told me that it is corporate mandated and controlled. Very sad situation for such a good company. read more
