This was honestly one of the most frustrating and horrible experiences I've ever had at a store. It was so bad that I still remember the names of the people working. Jason and Athena were some of the rudest, most unhelpful employees I've ever met. Actually, I shouldn't even call them employees because they were refusing to work. I'm sorry to write this review, but it really was that bad. We were having a baby shower the next day and I just needed a few balloons to mark where people should walk. We got there at 6:45pm, and the store didn't close until 9, so there was plenty of time. I picked out my balloons and went to the register for help. Athena first said she couldn't do it and told me to go to another line. Then Jason said he didn't do it, so I went back to her, and she again said she couldn't do it. Finally, Jason said, "Well, it's going to take us about an hour, so you probably should skip it." I only had 12 balloons. Not fancy ones, just the cheap regular ones. I asked why it would take so long, and he said they were short-staffed. Which, fine, I'd understand if there were other people waiting but there weren't. It was just us. I even offered to help tie the balloons myself, but he said no and kept repeating that it would take him an hour. He clearly didn't want to do any work. I told him I'd wait, and he sighed like I had just ruined his day and said "whatever." I paid for the balloons, but he never even started on them. I eventually just left with my unfilled balloons. Horrible experience. I'll be going to a different Michaels from now on. read more

Well, it's no Joann's, but I'm grateful to still have a craft store nearby. The employees are friendly and always say hi and ask if I need help. The store is well stocked and I've always found what I came for. As a seamstress, I wish the fabric selection was better. And as a knitter, I wish there were more non-acrylic yarn options and more fingering and DK weight yarns. read more

Unfortunately the staff is not helpful nor willing to honor the advertised pricing. Tried to utilize the half off sale and was told it was buy 1 get 2 free but the sign indicated otherwise. Since they were not willing to honor the sign I will head elsewhere. read more

In a society where customer service seems to be lagging, the customer service at Michael's was EXCELLENT! A lovely gentleman named Jason was juggling some customer issues and he handled it with manners, grace and respect. His co-worker Deidre was also kind, thoughtful and kept apologizing for our wait (which truly wasn't long at all). Always love a stop here. Plus they give teachers a small discount which is so appreciated. I needed an easy craft to do. I found a few. One is sewing a small stocking and the other is decorating a stocking. They have so many choices and super cute things here. I love this store after Christmas for the sales. read more

Went to give my ups return because it says "ups access point" on the door. Waited on line for 15 minutes because there was one register open and there were two people asking about discounts and having millions of conversations with the cashier. Cashier called for backup only because people in line were complaining. I finally get up to the register and am told they cannot return my package because they cannot scan a return QR code. Actual morons. While trying to scan my QR code, the associates were trying to remember their logins for their UPS app. And where they put the packages is not secure, it's a basket. So after waiting 15 mins, I was told they cannot do anything. False advertising and stupid staff. read more

We were here on a recent Saturday afternoon, and it's a typical Michael's--lots of bargains, lots of crafts and art supplies, lots of seasonals items, lots of frames and lots of things that I love but don't have room for in my small house! Recently had a framing job done of my uncles portrait. Great job but poor service. It sat at this location for a month with no call about its completion. When I called about it they had no reason for why no one called or they didn't even care to find out why. They just said it's ready come and get it. I went to buy shadow boxes that were on sale , buy one get one free and when I had to pay they charged me for both . I saw the shadow box I needed and asked the lady who was responsible with the frames there if they have more like that because it was just one and damaged! Her response was " if you don't see it there means we don't have it" ok, I got two different ones! Went to pay , charged me for both , the cashier asked the same lady if they are on sale , she said I already told her we don't have them and what she got it's not on sale, ( she didn't even saw what shadow boxes I got). I said I don't want them and then a very sweet lady came to help me , she give me the shadow boxes I wanted and apologized for her " colleague ( which was her supervisor) mistake! They actually had them but not on the shelfs and yes they were on sale ! This place is excellent and I love the re-purposed of the old Gander Mountain. This location just seems brighter and a better layout and more options than a regular Michael's store.I hope it continues to be like this and not just for the opening; the staff is very helpful and very friendly. There is always a deal and coupons to be had and it's a great store just to explore and get ideas and try something new. This will now be my go to Michael's location. read more

Due to the Covid-19 concerns, I decided to do a curbside pickup. Upon my arrival at normal business hours 9:15 am, the clerk informed me that store hours had changed just minutes ago to 11am. She was so kind and brought me my order to my car even though the store was technically not open. Very appreciate of her kindness & flexibility during this difficult time!
