We read the reviews and decided to stop. It was so good! We got the crazy sticks, extra marinara, and a large supreme. The crust is so different than any pizza we normally eat. So crunchy on the bottom and so light it almost disappears when you eat it. Never been to NY, but it's definitely not like Chicago or Quad City style. It was a welcome change. Been making pizza for 40 years and will tell you all about it. The pizza - great homemade sauce (no sugar). Sausage and pepperoni. both excellent. Sausage had great seasoning and no knuckles. Crust - thin with a good (puff) crust. Could have had a little more oregano/basil seasoning (for my liking). No cracker taste. AND, came with a tray of pepperoncini. Wow! OK - Any day-any time (a terrific) large (2) topping pizza for $10.99 ... you can't beet this. If I'm in the area (even sort of close) I'm going back. We can't say enough about Michael's. This place is a Paducah relic. They have their own parking lot with free parking. The inside of the restaurant looks exactly as it did 30 years ago, per my recollection. It is very vintage and makes me nostalgic every time I go in. There are NY decorations on the walls and a couple of small televisions with the news on. You order at the counter and they will call your number when your food is ready. If you order a pizza, it's served with paper plates. Napkins, red pepper flake, and parmesan cheese is available in shakers at the counter. You can get a fountain drink, bottled water, or beer. The pizza is incredible. It's the closest to real, NY style pizza I've had around here. The crust is so good. Service is fast. Staff are appreciative of the business. They offer dine-in, pick-up, and delivery. It may not look like a lot from the outside, but give Michael's a shot. The food they prepare on the inside is worth it! read more

I thought we'd give this place a try since it seem to have a lot of good reviews. I specifically ask for very little green pepper on this pizza but ask for most everything else, they loaded it with peppers! First of all New York would be very upset with this title of this place because the crust was like leather on the bottom and half burned. The top of the pizza was not cooked very well and almost wet. We eat here quite often. Very friendly, clean restaurant. Their pizza is really good. I have also had their salads and they are good too. I sometimes ask them to make me a grilled chicken salad but substitute with cut up chicken strips instead. Even though it is not a menu item, they were still happy to make it for me. Tried it when staying the night at a hotel. The guy taking order was curt and I felt rushed my order also order was wrong. I ordered a pizza and bread special with 2 salads. Salad was fine but got a small and large as opposed to the 2 small I ordered. That's not reason for 3 stars. The bread had very little flavor and looks much better then it tastes. The pizza topping was very limited the amount of pepperoni was like 3 total a slice and the pizza was cut poorly. Pizza is very tasty. The owner is from New York, he even recognized my NY area code when I gave him my phone number for my order. The prices are stupid cheap....a large two topping pizza for $7.99 during the week. I ordered pizza here all the time when I lived in Paducah. Definitely the best New York style you will get in west Kentucky without question. If you are looking for Chicago, move along. But this place has the pizza at a cheap and New York minute style. Ok guys we came from chicago gyros capital of the world. So our neighbor heard us complaining about missing gyros. We all got our Covid busters and decided to treat our selves to one ,husband gyros ,two ,my brother in law pizza and three me ,meat ball sub. I was ok with my sauce . It was good could have used a touch more garlic. My brother in law got a huge slice of pizza which was the special of the day. He liked everything about it. Gyros. Two thin pieces of meat. Very tiny pita. I don't believe it was grilled? May be wrong but I'm used to grill oil and that pita put on with a iron weight. Since when is lettuce added to gyros (Arby's I'm giving you side eye too) a gyro has purple onion tomato parsley tzatziki sauce on a hard toasted pita that is all! Omg and in Chicago at least a half pound of paper thin sliced lamb and beef meat. So after my husband took down one in two bites he ordered a second one. Ok I must say a bunch of regular customers came in. The sweet woman order taker greeted almost everyone by name. The tables are nice and clean. Rest room ( I can only answer to woman room) nice and clean. The posters in the restaurant cute. TVs nice touch. I guess the pluses I see are one, it's not bbq, two pizza pretty Italian tasting and a good bang for your buck. Three yes it's a business man's lunch place. I can't answer to it being "New York" but it ain't Chicago. If you add a few more pieces of meat and get rid of the lettuce you would be a four star restaurant read more
