I didn't like the bread crumbs

I really didn't care for this pizza place. They were not busy and unfortunately they had a dark hair poking out of the crust which was really gross The salad was really meh Their poppers were phenomenal

The cheese at this part is almost 1/2 way down. There's hardly any sauce. We paid over $30 for this! INSANE!

In this season where comfort food is deeply appreciated, we were excited to get pizza for my husbands birthday. This was a SPLURGE as it costs almost twice as much as what we'd usually get. I'm not sure if they were running low on sauce and cheese because this pizza hardly has any on it. I can not imagine that this is how it's prepared regularly. Perhaps they have someone new. At some spots, the cheese didn't start until at least 2 inches from the edge and the sauce looks like it was brushed on... it is all but non-existent. The crust is good, which I'm thankful for but this is just really disappointing. Massive FAIL.

The pizza is good but I think the dough is overcooked and very hard. The staff is very sociable and friendly.

Michael's Pizza My friend has been hyping up Michael's Pizza for as long as I could remember, so naturally I was really excited to include this to be a part of my Pizza of the Month cycle. Not might be the best pizza I have ever had, but it's not the worst. Pretty standard pie here. There's no definitive features that Michael's Pizza has that makes it out of the ordinary. The only thing that the company stands out for is its ridiculous charge of $1 for ranch. You cheapskates. The takeout method did not hold the heat of the pie well, really would have liked the pizza to be hotter and crispier. Nothing worse than having to throw the sucker in the oven. But that's the price you pay when it comes to takeout I guess. So I probably won't be having Michael's for a while, but that's not to say others won't enjoy it. If you're in the Calabasas area and don't want to succumb to Dominos. Then Michael's is your best and safest best! Which isn't that bad of an alternative.

Truly, the best pizza I've ever had. I drive from Thousand Oaks to get their pizza. Very tasty. Highly recommend them.

UNDERSTAFFED First…read moretime going to this location. I had been going to Granada Hills location for years but this location being a tavern makes it incomparable. We showed up for just a couple beers. Great selection, we were very surprised by that. Love the stein glasses that they serve in. We were already a fan of the food. HOWEVER, this place is understaffed. This poor girl was running around, busting her ass, trying to serve a packed place during March Madness. If the owner reads this review I hope he comes to realize the benefits of investing in your employees and not overworking them to the detriment of the employees, the customers, and the business. NEAT spot though... we'll be back.

Big beers for a pretty good price--1 liter of Bud light for $13 and 1 liter of Pizza Port Amber Ale for $17. We had some Jalapeno Bottle Caps for $10; wish the oil had been a bit hotter, but the size of the order was much bigger than that I thought, so that was positive. This place is so close to our house; we'll probably stop by again to watch some games and grab some beer. We might even give their pizza a try again.

Came into Pitfire Pizza on a work trip expecting a solid pizza and a decent beer…read more What I got instead was a full personality assessment... and honestly? It was spot on. Enter Luke, bartender and part-time mind reader. Before I even finished scanning the beer list, Luke clocks me--white guy, forearm tattoos, black glasses, beard--and without missing a beat goes: "IPA guy, right?" I felt seen. Slightly attacked. But mostly impressed. And the thing is... he was absolutely right. From there, it turned into one of those rare bar experiences where the conversation flows just as well as the beer. We're talking vinyl records, life on the road, and the kind of easy back-and-forth that makes you forget you walked in solo on a work trip. The pizza? Legit. The beer? Exactly what I wanted (before I even knew I wanted it). But Luke? That's the reason I'll remember this place. He didn't just serve drinks--he curated the entire experience. If you find yourself at Pitfire, do yourself a favor: Sit at the bar. Trust Luke. Embrace being accurately profiled. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the beer. 6 stars for Luke's ability to read a human like a well-worn vinyl record.
