First time ordering and ordered for 40 employees! Everything was on point and delivered on time! Ordered a bunch of pizzas and some large pasta trays from the catering menu. In this season where comfort food is deeply appreciated, we were excited to get pizza for my husbands birthday. This was a SPLURGE as it costs almost twice as much as what we'd usually get. I'm not sure if they were running low on sauce and cheese because this pizza hardly has any on it. I can not imagine that this is how it's prepared regularly. Perhaps they have someone new. At some spots, the cheese didn't start until at least 2 inches from the edge and the sauce looks like it was brushed on... it is all but non-existent. Horrible experience here which made me finally sign up with Yelp. I will start out by saying that the pizza here is hit or miss. Last night the pizza they delivered tasted terrible. It tasted like cardboard made out of baking soda. Unfortunately, I ate 2 slices and felt sick afterward. My sweet husband went to return the pizza the next day and to try and explain what happened. He didn't expect a refund, but since we live close by he wanted to express the disappointment in person. Anyway, the business owner, Michael P. of all people, had the audacity to ask if he got it out of the trash! I really cannot believe this disrespect and disgrace! Very homey and clean pizza place. Perfect stop after a game of ball. I bring kids and adults here every 5-6 weeks after a game. We order pizza in advance so by the time we get here it is ready. Michael's Pizza My friend has been hyping up Michael's Pizza for as long as I could remember, so naturally I was really excited to include this to be a part of my Pizza of the Month cycle. Not might be the best pizza I have ever had, but it's not the worst. Pretty standard pie here. There's no definitive features that Michael's Pizza has that makes it out of the ordinary. The only thing that the company stands out for is its ridiculous charge of $1 for ranch. You cheapskates. The takeout method did not hold the heat of the pie well, really would have liked the pizza to be hotter and crispier. Nothing worse than having to throw the sucker in the oven. But that's the price you pay when it comes to takeout I guess. So I probably won't be having Michael's for a while, but that's not to say others won't enjoy it. If you're in the Calabasas area and don't want to succumb to Dominos. Then Michael's is your best and safest best! Which isn't that bad of an alternative. read more

Michael's Pizza Calabasas gets 3 stars from me, for now. Came here today for lunch for my first time and left not quite as satisfied as I was hoping. While I thought the pasta, and particularly the marinara sauce, was pretty good, the quantity is quite small. Granted, at the price of $6.99, I can't complain much, but I don't think I'd be able to regularly depend on this place to fill me up for a pasta lunch. I'll have to give their pizzas a try next. If looking for an Italian restaurant in Calabasas off Las Virgenes, this might be your only option in the area. It's not a bad choice, as the food is delicious, and the prices are affordable, but the serving sizes, at least for the pastas, are not quite substantial enough to satisfy. It'll do in a pinch, but I'd recommend maybe ordering double if you're hungry. Service here is fast and friendly, and though they don't have indoor seating, there are a few tables outside to enjoy your meal. read more

Michael's is a staple in this community. The pizza is incredibly good which I believe is because of their authentic mozzarella cheese. We get pepperoni and Hawaiian pizzas every week. I love the Hawaiian pizza cold the next day again, because of the cheese. The also have calzones and pizza by the slice which is super convenient when you just want a pizza fix.
