I'm really impressed with the Halloween merch at this location! So many styles - so fun! Can't decide what to buy! I'm really partial to these beautifully eerie styles with skeletons and bats.

24x30 print that was attached to the mat, not reinforced and caused the mat to buckle

First the positives in that the folks in framing are positive and were always pleasant. When I was returning finished frames and canceling a custom order due to their ineptness at the actual framing, they asked no questions and gave refunds right away. So the folks are fine. The issue is that I brought in 5 large prints, mounted on a thin styrene board so that they are stiff. The team said it was no problem to mount them. When you mount a print like this, it must be reinforced and not simply "taped to the back of the mat" (as most prints are), because the weight of the print will cause the mat to buckle. The moment I returned to my studio, one of the prints was buckled. I brought it in for a repair, they told me it was because I framed without glass. Print was repaired as I waited. Two days later I had the same issue with a different print (photo attached). Finally I canceled the order on the attached print and went to another frame store in the same mall. The owner of the other store confirmed that they do not reinforce the prints which is what caused the mat to buckle. I'm now going to pay extra and bring the other completed prints in to him to correct what Michaels can't do.

Always enjoy going to a nice and clean place for your hobby and craft needs. It's a retail store with bright lights and lots of variety of items to look at. You kinda get stuck in the place since your mind starts to wander on more project that you want to do. It's the same kind of feeling that I get when I go to home depot although this is for table crafts. The store is usually very clean and a few customer service people float around although hard to find at time. Nice and friendly workers that enjoy their work enough. Many do have experience in the hand craft area and so that can direct you to the items that you want to use for your projects. It's best to ask questions to customer service individual if your lost since you'll get more lost if you start walking around everywhere. Overall, it a great craft store. Check out other craft stores like Hobby Lobby and I believe there is both a Michael's and Hobby Lobby store across the street from each other in Niles, IL on Dempster (west of Harlem). It's been a long time since I saw my niece because they lived in their own house. Yesterday I decided to visit them. But before that I will give her a present. She's now 5 years old and I'm thinking of buying toys. I entered this place and there were so many people inside. I went to the toy section. There are a lot of different toys to choose from. It comes with a box. Some are at a fair price, some are cheaper and some are expensive. I just bought a toy that looks cute. It was a Barbie doll with a house. I'm sure my niece will love this. Aside from that I also buy her candies and chocolate. It comes with plastic. I bought sweet candies because my niece doesn't like sour candy. Overall I bought everything I needed. I gave this 5 stars rating.

Pawell in photo framing is the bomb! He was incredibly helpful and they did a wonderful job on framing our classic airline posters from PAM AM! I couldn't have asked for better quality and they had a bomb discount going on. 60% off frames! Make sure to download the app, and look up coming discounts. We went back and got 20% off our entire order including items already discounted. This is now our definite go to craft store and for custom framing.

Excellent quality of all their products! Unique fabrics that are gorgeous. The needlework kits, cross stitch and embroidery, were very unique too. Sashiko products are also sold here too, which is what I decided to purchase some of. Some of the items for sale here I had never seen anywhere else. The staff person working was knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. I also thought the prices were good because of the high quality of the items. Will visit here again on my next trip to Evanston.

I shopped and shipped everything directly from their website and never had to pick up the phone once! Oh, make that a 7th love for carrying Heather Ross fabrics. I'm obsessed with #HeatherRoss. I love to sew. I am crafty, and I have a huge love (can you tell?) with fabrics! Thanks to Evanston Stitchworks, you'll find really fun and unique designs at their shop (currently available online). This isn't your typical fabric store. They support really cool independent designers and quirky fabrics for quilting and making clothes...well for sewing anything really. They also offer knitting supplies and all the books you might need to learn how to sew or knit. Evanston Stitchworks also offers many crafty classes (currently virtual). A few years ago I took their beginning knitting class. For some reason my brain gets all discombobulated when I try to knit, but the class was really fun. The owner was patient and kind and did everything she could to help me fix my mistakes along the way. Everyone else knocked it out of the park, so it's just not something I'm good at. I'm so glad this small local business exists, and I'll continue to purchase fabric from them. Speaking of fabric, don't you just love the designs I picked out for my two little nieces? They are Heather Ross designs, and my SIL is planning to make dresses for them. Can't wait to see how they turn out!

A welcome surprise for me is how comfortable the owner makes me feel whenever I come to the store. Besides the fact that the owner acquires the most gorgeous yarns and materials, she is also so generous with her time and creative ideas. There is no pressure to sign up for classes, which I really appreciate. With my insane schedule and random knitting inspirations, I would never be able to keep up with any class. I'm pretty craft-compulsive, and I bought nothing. Nothing. There were some (longtime?) customers in the store so they must know what they want.
