The pricing at Momo's is in line with everywhere I look at, and while not the absolute cheapest possible the ability to go in and find the kind of yarn that matches what you want to do is something you can't do when you order online. The store staff was helpful, informed, and they ask good questions about what you are knitting and what you could need. From beginner to advanced, Momo's gives you access to yarn and knitting supplies, and if you go with a friend the experience can be even better. I took my son on Mother's Day weekend and not only did I find what I was looking for, they involved both of us in the process so that we took away from the store more than just yarn, we took from it a great memory. Nothing is better than that, and you can't get that delivered in a box by UPS.

Between the three of them, they always make you feel like you are part of their family even if its your first time arriving there. I have alot of it in my stash, thanks to this store. As for other cross stitch items, kind of basic supplies I can get in Missouri. But, when I participate in the cross stitch shop hop,I always pick up a Lawrence, KU or Jayhawk pattern or fabric of some kind. It sits on Mass. Street, up the street from the Yarn Barn. This store is two different yarn shops owned by two different women. They are passionate about…read moreknitting and crochet, both with excellent taste. Pure wool yarn with a delicious hand. Their yarns are a pleasure to work into a project. It's close to the Square downtown Independence but off the beaten path. They have a large international following so they mail out lots of yarn. It's is a marvelous place with the most beautiful yarns you can imagine.
