oh, every time I go to michaels, I love it. they have a lovely selection of Rainbow Loom Jewelry kits but they could restock the mini brands. they are around $5-6 per mini brand capsule. they also have a section of balloons and candy, yum! The other thing was that when I went to check out, I went to grab something and someone took my spot which was ok. but before she started checking people out, she would be in the back corner, talking and just doing something for a few. not that like it's the end of the world, but it would be nicer if it was fast. on the other hand, shopping carts were nice. not loud and squeaky. I placed an online order for chipboard and paid with a gift card. While picking it up, I realized I still needed paper and accidentally bought more chipboard in-store. A manager standing by offered to return my online order, saying the money would go right back on my gift card so I could use it on the paper. She was wrong. Then she blamed it on "e-gift card" policies. If you don't know how things work, don't offer solutions. I didn't ask -- she stepped in, gave bad info, and left me stuck. What can I say Ariana is the BEST FRAMER! I am an EA for a President of several local companies, and I was tasked early onto my new job to frame some personal items for him and I knew nothing about custom framing. Well luckily the professional did! And she showed me some amazing matts and frames and really did such an amazing job! I was lucky enough to come duirng a 70% off sale and boy did that make a difference. I actually framed a Picaso Stenograph and that was pretty amazing finding the right mats for this charcoal sketch. I love looking at all of the Wilton cake decorating products. I can spend quite a while drooling over all of the tools and decorating supplies. I find myself wanting everything in that aisle! Here's a tip to get the most out of your Michaels shopping excursion. Every time you purchase something, make sure to accept the offer of a coupon. These are usually good for 40% off any single item the following week. If you have a big ticket item you've been drooling over, take a trip back to Michaels the following week and use that coupon to save some $$$. That's the way to do it. ;) read more

Rude worker named Paris gave me attitude when I asked if the yarn was on sale. Asked me to show where the sign was saying that it was on sale then told me very rudely that they were not on sale and the sign was supposed to be taken down. When I said I didn't want the item anymore they were very rude when saying "well I was going to honor it". Would have actually bought it had Paris been nicer and not talked with an attitude. As some one who works in customer service I did nothing to anger them. Will not be coming back after spending so much money here. Would give zero stars if possible. What made it worse is that I had to walk all the way to the store just to be berated by a rude employee. read more

I placed an order online for a DIY nutcracker snowman & my order was processed, but the store was out of stock when I made the purchase. Michaels - Arts & Crafts Near Me - Turlock, California

I have always shopped at this store as an avid crafter, but recently was disappointed at the customer service of the employee Linda. To give the full picture, My husband bought me what seemed to be a cricut explore air 2 from this store on 12/07/20, I did not open the box until I had a spot to place it in my crafts area on 12/12/20. The box was a shipping box and inside of that was the normal cricut package box. I opened the package box and initially saw a Sony Warranty paper. My initial though was "that's weird I didn't know cricut was a part of Sony" then the next booklet in the box was for a Home Audio System by Sony. I went to look at the product inside the box and it clearly was not a cricut but I'm fact the Sony audio system. I was completely surprised and caught off guard and at first thought it was comical that such a huge mistake had been made. I called my husband who was at his Air Force base at the time and let him know about the error. I then drove to Michaels to explain the situation and get an exchange, as I still wanted my cricut explore air 2 my husband had purchased. When I arrived at the store I was met with a completely dismissive attitude and told it was not their problem. They gave me the cricut number and told me it was out of their hands. My husband went back later to addres the issue multiple times. We have a family member who has a friend who is an employee at this particular store and it was relayed to us that the employee Linda thought my husband was a scammer. My husband showed up at the store in his Air Force uniform to address the situation. My husband is of Latino ethnicity, so either Linda is racist or hates the military because nothing else about him stereotypes him as a scammer. We have jumped through hoops contacting the Michaels corporate number as well as the cricut number with the issue still not being resolved, but beyond the lack of responsibility on Michaels part my biggest issue is the complete racism of Linda. read more

The store is always organized and staff are helpful. Today I was having issues with the online site with the discount coupons not being honored and the staff went above and beyond to ensure the issue was resolved. After multiple attempts, the staff member got the manager Linda on the line who did some troubleshooting as well and determined it was a site issue. Thanks for your time and support. read more

I hav never been so disturbed by comments made about an employee as I have about Linda. Linda has been one of the best customer service representatives that I have ever met. I consider her efforts to keep her store safe heroic since there is no law enforcement who will support the business that are actually trying to keep people safe. I have been there a couple of times when she has very politely asked people to wear their masks only to be disrespected with foul language or ignored. If you have a condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, be proactive, say something upon entering and produce some proof, a note, an inhaler, something. Kudos to Linda for doing the right thing and helping to protect her customers. read more

This use to be my go to for yarn and crafts. Was super disappointed that they had only one skein of the Bernat 10.5 oz Waterslide yarn. I bought one skein a few weeks back and they told me that they should have it in a few weeks. Well they didn't. The staff is polite but the store was a bit unorganized and they still didn't have the yarn. I ended up venturing to Jo-Ann's Fabric and they had the yarn and it was on sale! The staff I've encountered seems to know very little of the "crafting" world and I've had several issues with the staff who is unwilling to help you but serve you plenty of poor attitude and snobbery. read more
