We called Michall Daimion Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. on Monday to come out to check our system as we had no heat. We were due for our semi annual maintenance on Tuesday, the next day. We have been customers with them for 23 years. Michall Daimion Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. was willing to come out that Monday for $89. I certainly understand the fee, but as long time customers, with an appt the next day, I expected a more helpful response. We decided to wait until Tuesday, for the technician to arrive. At that visit we learned that needed a new blow motor. We got a quote of $1492 from Daimion. Our past experience w Daimion was this summer when the AC needed a capacitor. We paid $300 for that part- then learned it was a $20 part. Based on our capacitor experience, we began to research and found Shorty's in Indiana could supply the OEM part ( Carrier) for $790. Shorty's told us what an easy fix this particular blower motor was. https://shortyshvac.com We called Michall Daimion Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. for an explanation of the $1492 quote and were unable to get a breakdown of parts/labor, ( they don't do that) nor would they reveal if the company was using an EOM (Carrier for our HVAC) blower motor or an aftermarket blower motor. We were quoted a price of $1492. We have no idea what that $1492 entailed. Sadly, there is no loyalty to long time customers and there remains a total lack transparency. The Daimion search is for the moolah. Doesn't seem like a lot to ask what the price of $1492 entails. No recommendation. read more

Dishonest and deceptive practice around disclosing cost of labor. Minimum $155 come out, charged additional $385 for capacitor replacement on my AC unit for the capacitor costs $40 and 5 min labor. Use them if you want to pay $550 for $40 parts and 10 minute labor. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ROBBED ME ON PURPOSE!!! I put in a high end air filtration system with an extremely expensive new heating system. Michall Daimion put in the wrong size filters so they filtration system did not work. They know they did this (since they accidentally ordered the wrong size) - it took me a year to figure it out - when I went to replace. When I called them, they admitted they knew they did that, had it noted in my file to replace with correct size, but since the filters were so expensive, they decided not to replace them and now it was over a year. They did nothing. If karma works they will just lose all their clients. I should have checked yelp before using them. I was stupid and trusting. I hope this helps you avoid my mistake! We love this company. Price may be slightly higher but in this case you get more than you pay for. Our central air conditioner totally turned off last night around 6:45pm. We called the answering service and had a call back from John who was at our house before 7:15 pm!!!! He fixed the problem ( or so we thought). I called for a repair on my AC unit, they were out the next day, on time, professional and honest. They fixed our unit, replaced our filters and helped us better understand our system and ongoing maintenance needs. They also had reasonable prices. John, a very experienced tech from Damion Heating/HVAC, responded to my HVAC outage this afternoon less than a hour after I called a contact in their office. Some burned wiring and a broken wire was repaired in 10 minutes and the compressor was back up and running. John had gone home for the day but still turned back around to make my service call which was much appreciated. The system is cooling like new now and I am signing up ASAP for them to be my maintainers of HVAC and Heat. I know the person that runs their office and she arranged this call and also works very hard to make sure all customers are helped promptly and for a fair price. This company is also highly qualified on all systems both basic and very advanced computer controlled HVAC/heating units. So very highly recommended! read more

I am new to Michall Daimion as I found a coupon to get a 18 point inspection on my heater for $89 in the local paper and decided to try a new company. When I scheduled my appt, I specifically stated that I had an "electric" heater and not a heat pump and that my unit had been maintained since it's installation years ago. I was told that the mechanic should be able to service my heater. The mechanic arrived on time and was very mannerly. He pointed out that my unit was being used as an indoor electric unit and not a heat pump. He removed the top section of the unit and placed a yellow testor on it and said the airflow was good. He replaced the filter and asked about the unused humidifier. I was told it didn't work and really didn't use it anyway. He cleaned out the filter from the humidifier and I guess turned water on to make it work. I don't think it is working since I've never seen any water run thru the clear tube, but I am hoping this doesn't disrupt my unit. He then asked for my check for $89. When I pointed out to him that I was waiting for the rest of the heater to be cleaned per the coupon his answer was: "we don't cover this model". I thought this was terrible and should have contacted the company at that point, but it was xmas eve and I didn't want to get upset over the holiday. Now that I think more about it, I think this was very unfair and I would never call them again for service nor would I recommend them to my neighbors. Not Pleased! Had a new HVAC system installed by Michall Daimion in Nov 2018. After an electric bill that was double our normal cost, we found out that the outside unit wasn't working properly. After an entire winter of running our unit on emergency heat, they finally replaced the outside unit in March 2019. Fast forward to the following December and January, and we were experiencing electric bills close to $700 a month again. Michall Daimion came out again and found that the outside unit ground wire was touching the service panel. This caused the breaker to pop which forced the unit to run on emergency heat...again. Blame was passed on to me for not having them come out to service the unit in the Fall, claiming that it wouldn't be unheard of for our brand new unit to have issues after only six months. MD was also completely unwilling to work with us any type of compensation. They wouldn't even budge on providing a discounted service plan even after we accumulated such exorbitant electric bills within the first year of purchasing our brand new HVAC unit through them. All around, working with Michall Daimion has been a horrible experience!! read more

My mother recently installed a brand new heater from this company. After installation my mother was supposed the receive a rebate that the company was to submit for her... They never did until she called almost every day even after the deadline. They kept telling her it was submitted even though it was not, they never even asked her for her information needed to submit the rebate. Then after these recent snow storms we had her heat would not work. She called the company and they told her they could not come out for over a week and to turn on the emergency heat until they could make it out. Fine. She asked if there was anything she could do to help get it started they told her to pour hot water on it and cover it with a tarp. She did. Didn't do anything. She called a couple days later and they said take the tarp off during the day then cover it again at night. She did. It didn't help. Finally the day of the appointment comes my mom leaves work waits around for them to come. They don't show up. They call within a half hour of the end of the window they're supposed to be there and say they're not coming and they will come out tomorrow. So I come down with my kids to wait for them to come. The owner shows up on time looks at the heater through our kitchen window (not even bothering to go outside and look at it) and says to shovel around it and turn it on... I said well we followed all the things you guys told us to do and it's still not working, her emergency heat has been on now for almost 2 wks... He says, in a huff, well some people have had there's on for a month... I said it's not a competition ... He said well sorry it's not what you want to hear, I'm not shoveling it out for you. He then left SLAMMING her front door shut behind him... I am amazed that this is how short and rude the owner is with someone he is doing business with. Maybe try a little compassion for a home owner stressed out that they're heat isn't working. Or hire someone for customer service, service calls who isn't a complete jerk. We used Michall Damion to replace our furnace this winter when it broke. The good news is that they replaced the furnace within two days. When we returned home that night we expected to have heat; the bad news is the house was still cold. We called the office, and Michall came out personally and made the necessary adjustments. They did tell us they needed a particular piece of equipment to attach the air conditioning. Supposedly they installed it the following week. Memorial Day rolls around we put on the air conditioning, and it does not work. (Air conditioner is only 2 years old). We call the office again. They come to the house to repair to then tell us they need another particular part. We wait over five days in the heat for them to repair. The air conditioner now makes so much noise that it wakes us up at night. I would never recommend them for any heating or air conditioning job that you might have. Terrible service. The customer service is just ridiculous. So, our heater broke during one of those ice storms this past winter and we called this place because they installed the heater for the last tenant, that was the sole reason. The guy shows up the first day BARELY within the window, and works for several hours. He's outside, then barging into our house like he owns the place not telling us what he's doing for hours and guess what? The thing didn't even work in the end! He claims there's a manufacturer mix up and he was sent the wrong part and for some reason, this took him hours to find out. Then he comes back the next appointment, acting the same rude way and guess what? Yet AGAIN the piece doesn't work! Not to mention he was supposed to call before he arrived and he didn't, and when my father called the office for an explanation as to why this was happening they brushed him off and didn't even apologize. Like I said before, some if the worst customer service I've experienced. Plus DO NOT pay them by the hour if you're asked to, he adds hours to his time sheet and prays you don't notice!!!
