I hired Angelo's for carpet cleaning and air duct cleaning at my new home, I'm EXTREMELY UNHAPPY…read morewith how the services went and here is why: To begin, when they pulled into my driveway they ran over the end of my sidewalk with their vehicle and popped off one of the bricks which I now have to re-glue. Air Ducts: They began the air duct cleaning and shortly into the service they damaged one of my air ducts behind the wall, thus leaving me with a now broken airway to my powder room. The technician's equipment and large hose was shoved into my vent with no pre-examination of the sizing and now my flexible duct does not reach as it once did prior to Angelo's showing up. By shoving their equipment down improperly, they popped off the flexible duct even though it was zip tied (as it is supposed to be) and shredded it. They said they would have a manager come out to speak and review the issue that day and that never happened. Carpets: They arrived with equipment that was very different than what I was expecting. It did not appear to be commercial equipment rather something similar to what I could buy myself (like a Bissell). The carpet did get cleaned, but to me it seemed very odd that their equipment wasn't what I'm used to seeing. Several stains are still on my carpets (which I know sometimes they are very hard to remove), but most times they are able to at least be lessened. I give them a 7/10 on the carpets. I have been in contact with them about a refund and they only gave me $50 back for the 2 vents they charged me for! that they broke and weren't able to clean. Now I need to go to Home Depot and spend more $$$ to try and correct this duct problem they created. Their fine print states that they "aren't responsible for damages behind walls" which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Only good thing is that they were responsive to the email complaint. DO NOT USE THEM for your air duct cleaning. I should have gone with Stanley Steamer instead and will never be using Angelo's again -- you shouldn't either.

I came home from vacation to find a pipe burst and my finished basement completely demolished by water. I was angry, frustrated and miserable, I was wallowing in self pity. I called John at Servpro around 6:45 that evening and he assured me he would have a crew out as soon as possible. I expressed to him my concern of mold, I have two young sons and I did not want to risk any possibility of black mold getting in their playroom. He said he understood completely and would make my situation a priority. My next call was from an employee named Hugh, he let me know what time to expect his team and what to be prepared for. He arrived on time, immediately put a large plastic tarp on the floor from the hallway to the front door and both he and his partners put plastic booties over their shoes. They worked hard for about FIVE hours, ultimately leaving my house at 3:00 a.m. (mainly because they had one of the large wet vacs that went out to the van jam) during this process Hugh's partner would routinely ask me about items to see if they were OK to discard or not. One point he had a stack of children's books and told me he didn't think they could be salvaged and that he was sorry, I told him it was OK but he responded saying that sometimes a kid can get attached to something silly like this and to please let him know if they're were any sentimental items to watch out for. The next day a young man named Jason contacted me and reviewed the drying strategy and how billing would work. Again he was incredibly professional and made everything easy to understand. In total they had their equipment in the house for about 5 and a half days and they kept me in the loop daily. At one point the manager of the firm came out to review everything and meet with the claim adjuster. Lastly, the final day Hugh actually decided to remove an additional piece of drywall because he wanted to "error on the side of caution" he did this free of charge and did not bill me for the time. This company made me feel like my needs were important, they treated my house with respect and did an excellent job. They returned phone calls within the hour and constantly updated me on what they were doing. If you ever have the misfortune of having a flood, fire damage, pipe burst your first call should be to Servpro.

This shop has a large selection of absolutely beautiful light fixtures. They stock items from 350…read moremanufacturers. Prices are very reasonable and the customer service is excellent. I prefer mom and pop shops to chain stores. Sometimes it's a bit busy in there, but you do get very personalized attention. I took 2 lamps to be repaired there and they charged me only $20 apiece. I also took a chandelier to have some work done and get cleaned up, and they did a beautiful job at a very fair price. It was far less than I expected. I needed a light for a powder room and was trying to decide on a couple. They took down the display models, wired them so I could plug them into an outlet, and let me take them home to check them out in my bathroom. They didn't charge me anything to do so! It's a good thing I did take them home, because the one I thought I preferred would nit work out there. So it was good I had the back up. That one also happened to be on sale, and I got a much better price than I expected. I bought a ceiling fan as well. Upon installing it, the motor wasn't working properly. The store ordered another to replace it. Again, they were very helpful and offered to replace it immediately.

We've used them for some small outside work in the…read morepast and so when it came time for a simple cabinet replacement, we decided to use them again. I should mention that my husband is a builder and felt comfortable enough with their relationship to believe they could handle a small job. The owner, Mike, came in and assessed the work. Again, this was to be a simple replacement of exactly the design and basic cabinetry we already had. The first thing that was disappointing was that we couldn't get a cabinet front or color we really wanted, so we compromised and chose one of the two cabinet styles he carried. Then the poo hit the fan. EVERY step after that, they made mistake after mistake. I was clear time and time again about exactly what I wanted. They screwed up orders, placement, reorders. There basically wasn't anything they didn't mess up. And the owner lied through his teeth about making good on his mistakes. His project manager, Chris, actually confided in me that he wasn't even supposed to be on this job and knew nothing about it until Mike told him, well after there was trouble, to go in and try and oversee the job. He complained that there were no drawings, no records and that he came in blind and had to try to do the best he could, which wasn't even close enough. I ended up with cabinets that I'm so unhappy with that I'm actually considering hiring another company to come in and redo their work. That's how bad they are. The only positive I can say is that we were about to hire them for a huge kitchen renovation that would have cost an arm and a leg. Lesson learned. We'll be using someone else.

M&K simply subbed out the entire job and provided none of their own labor. The other sub was fine but had a very "interesting" crew. They installed the wrong size window, did an awful job on the closet space, and finally on my selections they would not provide invoices for the amounts over the allowances in the contract. Therefore, I did not pay the entire amount and ended up in civil court with them, where the settled before going in. I was not happy to cut any check, but they did come down on actual amount owed. I have worked with other contractors on my house and have never had a problem. I only used them b/c they had the availability in their schedule, I should have known better!!!
