I recently attended an Estate Sale in San Lorenzo that Michele Markovich Antiques conducted . There was a lot of Cool Collectables and Furniture for sale. Michele was conducting the sale. Michele seemed very Organized and Knew exactly what items she had for Sale. It was interesting watching her Multi Task . Her assistant worked very well with her . I evened found a Cool pair of Vintage Binoculars and after a little Negotiation I purchased them . I was after a toolbox also but another person snatched it after I asked about it lol. I would definitely attend Michele's Estate sales again , She was very Nice and Welcoming .. She also hands out Red Licorice to snack on lol. I want to thank Michele for responding. I attended another MMA Estate Sale yesterday and things were REMARKABLY better. I've probably attended at least 15 of Michele's estate sales over time. Things have changed for the better. The two helpers she had were wearing aprons which made it clear they weren't shopping, but working. I didn't see the helpers greet or engage with any customers, but identifying them as employees is a huge step in the right direction. Michele was manning the door and checking people out. This is the first time I've seen her friendly, taking time to talk to each customer and willing to fairly negotiate prices. This was the new and improved Michele and I really appreciate it. The line was long to check out, but it was fine. Customers were chatting with each other and Michele was giving each customer the time and attention they deserved. When it was my turn to check out, Michele was friendly, engaged in conversation, and gave me a fair deal on my armful of purchases. I have not had an experience like that with her before. We highly recommend Michelle Markovich as an estate liquidator. Our family hired her to help with an estate sale. She knows who is interested in what and calls them. In my case she called over a scrap metal dealer and cleaned out a shed. The estate was small in comparison with most she deals with but she did a very professional job. Although the sale was scheduled for a weekend, she started selling on Thursday. She will keep separate track of items that you want to sell that are not part of the estate and at the end show you her "books" of your sale. In my case she was still selling stuff even after the "book" on the sale closed. After the sale she will arrange for a donation pickup of all unsold items if you wish her to. She will also advise you of how to get rid of items that no one will take. i.e. old propane tanks, paint, etc. We think she did a great job. read more

I make a special effort to attend Michele's estate sales. I know I am going to get a very fair deal with Michele. I have furnished my home and do a lot of staging with the things I get at her sales. There are some items that are priced above what I am willing to pay so I return on the last day and make an offer. Most of the time I get the things I want at a VERY fair price. I have tried to do the same thing at other estate sales and not been as successful. I want Michele and Paul to do a sale for my family in the near future and I am sure that she will get the very best prices she can for the best stuff but will move all the rest of the stuff as well. I decided to overlook a few of these reviews as they seemed like typical one-off complaints, and boy, I am so glad that I did! I had a garage full of antique "stuff" that I wanted to sell - some nice pieces, some garbage. Within the first few minutes of meeting Michelle, I was impressed by her experience, her knowledge and her focus on understanding my objectives. Over the course of the next week , I also learned that Michelle is: 1) Hard-working & organized: Late into the night, she would go through all the pieces herself, assess them, organize them and present them. She would very clearly communicate with us the plan, schedule and action items remaining. 2) Great with people: Michelle not only understands the history and value of each piece), she also clearly loves working with people and understanding their needs. She has a loyal client and customer base that have worked with her for years, and they keep on coming back - not only a testament to Michelle's great antique finds, but her ability to match them up with the right owner! She's a pleasure to work with!! 3) Knows her business: Michelle can very quickly assess the value/condition of an item, its historical context and how it fits in with current trends. She was able to sift through the junk and find some exquisite and very rare antique finds (glass lamps, vintage brochures, antique dolls, old photographs) which makes her estate sales such a treasure trove! I have been attending Michelle's sales for over 5 years now and always find something cool for a fair price. Michelle is great to work with and is very straightforward. The great thing about her sales id that there is always free stuff at the end of the sales and usually lower prices on day two. Sometimes dealers are locked into prices by the estate owners and have very little flexibility on the prices. I will be attending many more of Michelle's sales in the future. read more

Michele is a dynamo. She handled the estate sale when we moved my mother in 2014 and - when she was done - the house was impeccable. She made a difficult situation so much less stressful for us. We live in Oregon and had to move my mother-in-law from Castro Valley up here with us. I found Michelle on the internet and called her. We had a 3 bedroom tri-level house to completely empty out, she came over, checked it out, told us not to throw a single thing away. We simply went thru each room, took what we wanted, took mom and headed back to Oregon. Michelle took care of everything from then on, she completely cleaned the house out and handed to keys to the realtor. I am so grateful that we found her. Wasn't sure how we were going to tackle this job, but, with Michelle on the job, it was so much easier than we had planned. Prices to potential customers are always higher than market or store prices. You can get better deals at K-Mart for everyday items.. Comparable prices at other estate sales are at least 1/2 lower. She also always tells you to come back the second or third day for better discounts. Like people have the time to do this for a $1.00 item. You can definitely find better deals at other estate sales and you don't have to listen to Michele tell you all about your finds and what they are worth. read more

We hired Michele to clear out and sell the contents of my parent's home and surrounding 2 acres. She met with us initially to sign a contract which was very clear in regards to her fees and expectations. I was impressed with her professionalism, knowledge, but most of all her sensitivity to the situation...both of my parent's are alive but we were moving them to separate care facilities. I knew from our first visit that we were in good and capable hands. We were able to just step back and let Michele work her magic. The sale was a huge success...Michele communicated throughout the process and I never felt like I needed to be looking over her shoulder. Forty plus years of "stuff" was sold, donated, disposed of and the house was left empty and clean. When all was aid and done, Michele had met/exceeded our Escrow closing date, reduced her commission AND kept the final clean-out costs lower than estimated. Michele is a miracle worker! She came into our family home which was packed with several generations of family belongings and when she was done the house was ready for sale. Our mother had many religious items that we had qualms about selling and these were put in a glass case to maintain reverence. She displayed vintage items cleverly and has a following of shoppers that check items online before the sale. She knows what things are worth and was generous with her advice and led us to a reliable cross country shipping company for several fragile items as well as a local piano mover who we could trust with an antique player.
