Avoid this doctor at all costs. After seeing her for months, nothing I went to see her for was resolved and I ended up with thousands in unexplained bills. I tried for months to talk to their "finance department" - who turned out to be one overworked man - and they eventually stopped responding to me. Let me first off say, I have so much love, appreciation and respect for Dr Barhaghi. Thank you. Dr Michelle Barhaghi took me in as a patient in my 2nd trimester. I found her on the Torrance Memorial website and took a chance. Best thing I did. From the moment I met her I knew she was the right doctor for me. She is kind, caring, knowledgeable and personable. While I was pregnant, I was uncomfortable and had a few issues but I looked forward to my appointments. After seeing and speaking with her I would leave feeling relaxed and happy. The office staff, Liz (I think that's her name) and Melissa are friendly and remembered me by name every time I walked through the door. Dr Barhaghi was at the hospital for my delivery in a flash and put me at ease. She also came to check on me and meet my baby the next morning. I appreciated seeing her. I just found out Dr Barhaghi is leaving the Torrance Memorial network and it saddens me. I was planning on seeing her for my next pregnancy. She's amazing and I wish her well! I usually don't write reviews but I guess in this case the repeatedly horrible service convinced me to write one. I'm not sure whether it's good or bad but Dr. Baraghi seems to be more busy than the US President as she has NO time whatsoever to respond back to patients in need. No matter how many times you call. Her schedule is always packed and she has no time for a single phone call, well according to her office staff at least. Oh and it doesn't matter if it's an emergency, they don't really care. They are there just to book your appointments. Absolutely worst office staff EVER!!! I'm a long time patient and only tolerated this out of my own personal convenience. However I just can't anymore. I don't care if I have to drive 20 miles to Beverly hills but I'm going back to my previous gynaecologist. YES, I'm happy to drive 20 miles in LA traffic than few mins to San Pedro which speaks volumes of the services you are offered at Dr. Baraghi's office. I have had enough and I'm moving on but thought to inform some of the other ladies in the area to consider this. read more

Where to start. Three years ago my husband and I decided we wanted to started trying to have a baby. We tried and tried to no avail. We sought help from many different doctors and specialists, all of whom left my husband and I feeling a variety of emotions, anger, sadness, slightly homicidal. Finally we decided to try one more Doctor, Dr. Berhaghai. One year later, I am writing this review while my two week old son lies napping on my chest. Dr. Berhaghai is without a doubt the best OBGYN in the South Bay and my husband and I feel an eternal sense of gratitude, love and respect for her. To write down my entire journey to pregnancy would take forever. I will highlight a few of the high points that should be noted. Every step of my pregnancy Dr. Berhaghai was there to answer all mine or my husband's questions. She was very open to our wants and needs as a couple and to how we wanted our pregnancy and birth experience to go. Something that is rare to find in a doctor now a days. Most are so quick to push their beliefs or agendas on you. Finally I will note this. My son ended up being Frank Breech, and she did have to perform a C-section. I am not a super vain person. And having my son means the world to me. But Dr. Berhaghai's incision and closure of it, was without a doubt the most beautiful and well done C-section I have ever seen. I will never worry about being embarrassed by it because it is basically non-existent. My bottom line is this, Dr. Berhaghai will always have my husband and my eternal gratitude and she is a fantastic Doctor. read more

Let me just say I am going to miss her. She was my ob up until 37 weeks when she decided to take her leave early, I wasn't very happy with the call but I understand fully. I wish her the best of luck and If I ever get pregnant again after this pregnancy hopefully she can be my ob again and ride it out until I deliver. Her front desk girls are great as well. read more

This office is amazing. Super inviting, staff is personable and Dr Barhaghi is awesome. She just has the best personality, knowledgable and easy to talk to and makes the entire experience a positive one. I really don't understand some of the other reviews because I personally have never had any problems with scheduling appointments and I even received a reminder courtesy call. Great Dr!!!! She is attentive and is personable. She takes her time and makes you feel comfortable. She answered all of my questions with a wealth of knowledge and practical thinking. I loved that none of my questions, whether very important or kind of silly, were ever brushed off. She genuinely made me feel like my concerns were her concerns. She performed my surgery and all went VERY well. Her office team is also amazing. They are always so polite, even when I called every single day with questions. Dr. Barhaghi was my OB for my first-born son, and I cannot recommend her enough. Her staff is wonderful and was extremely helpful assisting me navigating a very tricky insurance situation. Dr. Barhaghi is knowledgeable, always took time to answer any questions my husband and I had, and is personable and friendly. I came to her late in my first trimester, I almost missed my window for doing the nuchal translucency screen! But she made sure I had my appointment for the screen set ASAP, and I was able to have it done in time. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Barhaghi. My first appointment with her I knew she was the doctor for me. I was full of extremely personal, intimate questions that had been disregarded by other OBGYN's as "all in your head" or "silly". Dr. Barhaghi made me feel totally comfortable discussing my concerns and offered answers to my questions that left me feeling confident instead of embarrassed. More recently we discovered my fibroids had grown rather large and began discussing options. Dr. Barhaghi took, Im sure much longer than she expected, the time to explain all my options, helping me weigh the pros and cons of each option. I then called the office several days later as I still had questions. They were able to get me in that day and she completely put my mind at ease about the upcoming surgery. Dr. Barhaghi recently performed an open abdominal surgery on me to remove the fibroids. She knew I was extremely nervous and came early to the pre-op room to check on me and to make sure I was comfortable with the anesthesiologist and the procedure. She once again put my mind at ease that I was in good hands and would come out feeling so much better. After the surgery she came to the hospital several times to make sure I was comfortable and to ensure everything was ok. I am now almost 2 weeks post op and feel as good as one can feel after an open abdominal surgery. I know that is due to Dr. Barhaghi. read more

The best doctor In San Pedro . I didn't have a doctor and my new insurance gave me a list of doctors i called several doctors from that list and now body would take me that day or the following day . I knew I was pregnant so I just wanted to get checked that same day well finally I came across her and her staff told me come in today . I was surprised that finally some one cared about my feeling and concerns. She is amazing . There's so many things to say about her and her staff . She is knowledgeable . Her office is super clean you feel like you are at home . She deliver my baby she kept checking on me when they told her I was ready and I saw her coming I felt peace that my baby and I were in good hands . It was the best delivery ever. She deliver my baby in 3 hours . After I had my baby she came to visit me and that day 20 baby's were born the hospital was full so the hospital say you are out in 3 days but she said nope she is staying one more day the reason she said that was because she wanted me to get all the help from the hospital as possible because I was a first time mom for example ( breastfeeding ) she wanted to make sure that the hospital helped me with that and teach me . My husband loves to ask questions and talk so much and the doctor will always answer his questions and always listen to him . I got sick a week later after i had my baby she was there for me her staff told me to come that same day asap . I had to apply for Edd and they did all the paper work I didn't have to worry about anything . Anything I needed it was done there and then . I could go on and on and on of how amazing her and her staff are . I will recommend everyone women to her because she knows what she is doing . By far the best OB doctor I've ever had.. A few years back she found some pre-cervical cancer cells did surgery right away! I was a mess as you can imagine.. She was on top of everything and made sure I understood what needed to get done before and after surgery.. She took the time to listen and didn't just treat me like another patient.. Dr. Barhaghi delivered my one and only baby (thus far). At 32 weeks, I had to find a new doctor since I had started receiving Blue Shield PPO through my employer. Dr. Barhaghi accepted me as a patient when other doctors turned me away since I was so late in my pregnancy, at that point. For my first visit, I had typed up a list of detailed questions to ask her. I was hesitant to bring out the long list but Dr. Barhaghi welcomed my questions and did not make me feel judged at all. Then at 35 weeks, I told her I was experiencing some weird symptoms. She was able to see me the same day and immediately ran tests; I had cholestasis. Dr. Barhaghi was so compassionate in addressing my concerns and explained the induction process. She truly made me feel better about this unexpected turn. She delivered (vaginal delivery) my baby girl and honored my wishes for delayed cord clamping. She came to check on me the day after and I told her that I would love for her to deliver our future children to come! Her staff is very friendly! The receptionist, Elizabeth, is so kind and welcomes patients in such a cheery mood. The medical assistant, Melissa (I believe is her name), is very thorough and amazing at drawing blood (I barely felt a pinch!). The office is very tidy, calming, and music is always great when waiting. Wait times were 5-10 minutes but then again, I was always 5-10 minutes early anyway so I guess I would say that there is NO waiting time. I look forward to coming back here for baby #2! read more

The first thing Dr.Barhaghi asked me when I got my pregnancy results was if I intended on keeping the pregnancy. She showed zero care and failed to inform me of a number of different things that I needed to get during pregnancy for example my glucose test. I mentioned it and fortunately It wasn't too late to take the test so I scheduled an appointment. I was only 20 at the time and considering it was my first child I really didn't know what to expect or what was normal/unusual etc. Now on baby no.2 at a different place my treatment has been a complete night and day difference MUCH better. Turns out I am a carrier for cystic fibrosis which would've been nice to know when I was having my first child. I also recall during an ultrasound she didn't print any pictures of my baby and as she was wiping off the jelly from my abdomen I mentioned them and she said It was "too late". I feel completely like this doctor was discriminating towards me because of my young age. So If your a young mother I would not recommend this doctor she did almost nothing for me during my pregnancy and it was absolutely ridiculous. I have gotten so many tests done to make sure my baby is well at my new doctor and she has kept me informed about everything and that is nothing close to what I received with this doctor. read more

She makes you feel like you really matter to her and that her recommendations are coming from a place of sincere care. She makes you feel right at home. Dr. Barhaghi is amazing. I had no idea where to begin when looking for an OB so I asked my regular physician, whom I love, and she referred me to a few doctors. After researching their backgrounds I chose Dr. Barhaghi. She seemed a little young but extremely experienced. I was less than 4 weeks pregnant when I started seeing her and I never once had a doubt. My husband would regularly go with me to my appointments and being as critical as he normally is, he loved her as well. I always had a list of questions (new birthing techniques, placenta encapsulation, doulas, water birth, epidural, high risk concerns, etc) and Dr. Barhaghi always took the time to answer my questions. Not only did she answer them but she helped me understand everything. She never pushed her opinions or views upon me and was, most importantly, supportive of my decisions. I will say though, I was pretty open regarding my birth plan as this was my first. I delivered my first baby with her & I will definitely return to her for my next. Needless to say, the delivery went well! The labor was quite long but Dr. Barhaghi was constantly checking in on me & even came in hours prior to delivery to see how I was doing. A few days after delivery I even called to ask questions about a few "after birth" experiences and I always got an answer right away. She was my OB from the very beginning and she delivered my baby, not an on-call doctor. read more
