It had to be Kristy. We were lucky enough to set a date far enough in the future to ensure her availability. We used her for our engagement photos and were so happy with them! The images are sharp, clear, and vibrant. We had tons of compliments on them. It was great to use her for our engagement photos because it gave us a chance to get comfortable with her taking our photos, though it doesn't take much much since Kristy makes you feel comfortable. She made us laugh and get excited about our wedding. Then came the wedding and she was such a huge help on the day of! She made us feel so special and was great at guiding us and getting the best shot. I didn't even hear her camera make a sound during the ceremony once, yet she captured so many beautiful images. She had really creative ways to pose us that seemed funny in the moment but resulted in gorgeous, natural-looking photos. (For instance, she kicked off the session by having us look at each other and answer the question "who is the better cook?" It got us talking and laughing!) The photos she delivered (on time, of course) were a mix of beautiful, classic-looking portraits and delightful candids of us being our goofy selves. Ahead of time, she also sent tips for what to wear, which were incredibly helpful. The session also gave us an unexpected opportunity to see Courtney's ability to improvise. We were supposed to do the shoot at a park along the Russian River, but when my fiancé and I got there early we realized that the park's closing time online did not match what was posted at the site and that the parking lot (there was no street parking) would close halfway through our session. I called Courtney and she quickly suggested that we meet in downtown Healdsburg instead and do the session walking around downtown. We appreciated her ability to think on her feet and come up with a plan that was better than the one we'd made to begin with! The Russian River location had been our idea, but downtown Healdsburg gave us such a cool variety of scenery to work with.
