Eek, I'm almost afraid to let everyone on the secret of the BEST nail place on the south shore…read morebecause I don't want my weekly appointment time to become hard to book. I wanted a fastidiously clean & professional nail salon to have artificial nails put on. I didn't want to be sold into whatever the current trend was but what fit my needs; I have very fragile nails that I have never been able to grow. My nails had split & broke below the fingertip & despite the vitamins, biotin, etc, they were not getting any stronger. Based upon the recommendation of a friend who has been going to Angel for about 17 years, I went to get artificial - gel or acrylic nails put on. Angel gave me her opinion on what was best for my needs & recommended acrylic which not only was less expensive but better for the tough stuff I put my hands through (dishwashing, sports & gardening). She also said if I wanted longer nails she could put tips on but not only did it cost more, but she thought it was unnecessary. Then she indicated the first time to come back in two weeks to see how quick they were growing. After that she pointed out (since we discussed that it was a total luxury & I felt guilty splurging on myself w/ 3 kids) that coming every 3 weeks was one way to save money. I will say my fingers hurt the day after they were put on which she did caution can occur the first time. Many of her clients do the french manicure pink which Angel acknowledged makes the grow out less noticeable BUT Angel has such knack with colors that not letting her pick out or advise on a color that goes with your skin tone is a missed chance to have nails that people comment on on how pretty they are. Angel also offers skin care & pedicure services, notably if you have lost a nail & are having any difficulty with the new nail growing back in. I am looking forward to having her do my make-up, as she has an eye for color. This is one splurge I really really LOVE, my hands & nails look the best they ever have. I have gone to other salons for pedicures (love the vibrating chair) but after getting an infection in one of my nails I will not go to another nail salon unless I know they are pristinely clean which Angel's Touch is.

This used to be my favorite salon in town. Family owned and always gave great attention to detail…read moreand clearly proud of their work. I always call ahead to make an appointment which I did. We arrived 10 minutes early and they were clearly busy with a big group, so we waited. They sat us 15 minutes late. Again, they were busy - it is what it is. Then we finally get service, although they came to us while still finishing another customer - so unsure how much service we were actually going to get. I then requested our service which is one step up from the "normal" pedicure (I think they call it the cozy pedicure) and they had the audacity to say "how about next time, we're busy". Ummm no - we have appointments, you overbooked yourselves. That is not how you treat paying customers. I simply said "no we will leave" and I walked out with wet feet. I will never return. They lost a loyal customer today! Too many nail places around to receive that kind of treatment as a regular.
