The "historic" parts are real and well-maintained, including restored buildings. Not much goes on here, but it is great for bike rides or walks. Sadly, the little bridge over Bayou "Bud", which bisects this section of the Park, has been condemned as unsafe for autos. This inhibits access to the Bayou-front and the best picnic areas. Park management is always on-site and is friendly & helpful. Don't expect much excitement here. Great spotless restrooms are in the main office building ! Rick .

This is a Wildlife Management Area that is a boardwalk over a swamp. From the parking area you…read morecross the railroad tracks (wood is around the tracks so it's flat for walking but the gravel is on each side of the rails) and follow the boardwalk. The entire one-way walk is about 6 minutes so out-and-back is about 12 minutes. The boardwalk has 3" raised sides for those with a wheelchair. You'd just need to get over the tracks each way. There are signs explaining about the fish, birds, and snakes though I saw no snakes. Anyway they'd be in the water which is well below you. Directions- From I-12 take I-55 South. Exit at Exit 22 Par Road (Old US 51) At the T turn right (Sign says Mancha) Immediately on your left you'll see a gravel parking area with a faded Joyce MWA sign Walk across the tracks to the boardwalk

In moving to Baton Rouge from out of state, I was excited when I learned that the Burbank Dog Park was a short drive from my new house. I have two German Shepherd mixed breeds who love running and playing, and while our backyard is a decent size, having the potential to run in a 6-acre dog park sounded amazing! This park does not disappoint! The park is surprisingly clean with a 1/4 mile walking path. Everyone that I have encountered during our visits thus far has been friendly and I have not seen any misbehavior (from dogs or people)! In addition to the main space, there is a dedicated small dog section (separate entrance) and within the main space, there is a section with agility course activities (which I would love my dogs to try, but they are definitely not interested!). There is also a separate entrance to a section with a pond, but we have not yet explored this. The main space includes a dog water station and a gazebo with two picnic tables to enjoy some shade. Outside of the park is a dog wash station. There is plenty of parking! The only minor complaint is that there is not much shade other than the gazebo. There are trees, but none too close to the walking path, making it very hot; early morning or before close are ideal times to go (at least in the summer...which is probably obvious to anyone reading this). Note that the the Burbank Dog Park is closed on Mondays for maintenance.

I bought Kanati tires for my jeep thru walmart.com. I had them delivered to morgan city super…read morewalmart. They installed them. Driving home the jeep shook really bad. I had a mechanic look at the vehicle to make sure it wasn't the jeep. He said everything looked fine it was the tires were bad. I brought the jeep back to that walmart and had them rebalance them. It was no better. I bought Toyo A/T tires from a different tire store and all the shaking went away. I started the return and refund online and went back to the store to get the refund. The automotive department person said if you drove over 100 miles they won't take them back. How do you know if the tires are bad without driving on them? Then they sent me to the service desk to talk to another person who told me they can't refund the tires because I bought them on walmart.com. I would have to get a refund thru them. So I called them. The help tech redid the refund she said I did right and sent me to the service desk to get my refund. Again I was told no. They sent me back to the automotive dept. The employee there came back to me with a unofficial white paper word document that says any tires not installed can be refunded in 90 days. She said see we don't refund or return tires once they are put on the rim even by us. I said even if they are defective? She said yes. But it didn't say that. According the the official walmart policy they do take back tires but any refund is pro rated determined by tread depth that they measure. I know. I have the papers that were given to me when I had them installed. The employee was rude. The online help techs didn't understand why the store kept refusing the refund. Online help is absolutley impotent when it comes to getting this remedied. If the store says no ..... you are s.o.l. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking to buy tires shop somewhere else. I can't speak to all walmarts. But I can to this disappointment of an automotive department.

I have been laid up for a week with a fractured foot and messed up knee from a fall. I am in dire need of my medication which I need to speak to a pharmacist about.
