Do not give these people your card information. I had to get new bank cards because they were charging my card without my approval. I rented a bobcat for $2000 it broke down several times they tried to charge me because the equipment is junk and keeps braking down. And when I disagree with them stealing $150 off my card they threatened me and told me to get off their property. There are much better places to get your equipment from then these scaming rude people. read more

Just rented some equipment from Burns Rentals in Mishawaka. Michiana Rentals is 10 minutes from my house and Burns is 30. That is how much total disdain I have for Michiana after trying to deal with them for to many years before finally getting fed up with them all. I would never use this business again nor recommend it. We rented a piece of equipment that we discovered was broke once we got home. We called the company to notify them immediately after arriving home and had to leave a voice mail. They said they called back but no message was ever left nor did we have a missed call. Upon returning the equipment and asking for a refund- they refused. They attempted to say we broke it. The moment we turned it on, it would not stay on so it was impossible to break since we couldn't use it. Their lack of customer service, ability to exchange broken equipment and refusing a refund increased cost of the repair...take notice! I have never in 62 years dealt with such a rude and unreliable business. Oh, and after insisting we were entitled to a refund they will attempt to threaten to charge you for breaking equipment that was broke when you picked it up. read more

Do not recomend! Mishiana rental has been nothing but a hassle from the start. The customer service is lacking at best. After speaking to a customer service person who was extremely rude, I asked to speak to a manager who acted as if I was interrupting his day. Do not go here. After the rental they will use your card and charge you extra for what their opinion of how dirty the equipment is. Then will charge you an extra $100 without a call and just email. Spent time to clean the best I could with a garden hose and tools. Individual that picked it up didn't even come to door and give a chance to clean what THEY SEE. No opportunity to make it right. When you call them they don't know what good business is and hung up on me. Do not recommend this business. Will never use them again. read more

We ordered 1400. Worth of tables chairs and a dance floor (paid in full) for a wedding the tables and chairs were delivered the dance floor was never installed after we told them what surface the floor would be installed on they said no problem the delivery day they brought it out and then said it cant be installed in the middle of the barn but could be installed in the corner of the barn were other stuff was planned so they took it back my wife called several times with no reply back so i had to spend 800.00 in lumber to build a dance floor 1 day before the wedding they refused to refund any money 700.00 for the dance floor we rented and did not receive and never saw it and never used it. This place is a rip off chairs and tables were dirty and damaged. Buyer beware. Plus items were purchased in indiana and charged michigan sales tax. This place needs turned in to the bbb. Very unprofessional people plymouth store doesnt know what the niles stores polices are and the niles manager is a total jegoff ..... i will never rent from them again and will tell everyone of my experience with this place and it all starts right here... hope michiana rentals gets the point you cant screw people and get away with it now a days with social media. read more

You let my friend who was at my hourlse helping me with the party sign papers and assumed he was my husband! I questioned the staff on why this was even happening and you then accused me of attempting to keep your property that was put in my back yard with a gate . I called you thieves for taking my money and after dropping off the tables and chairs coming back 10 min later as I see someone walking into my yard trying to take everything I paid for and run off . I had just let my dogs out astour staff then were trying to undo my gate and I told you my dogs were out . I also told you to call the cops for a report as I plan to take you to court to get my money back from your lying awful horrid so called business! We originally planned to get married on a friend's property July 13, 2019. I called in February to get information on a tent package that included tables, chairs, linens, etc. I asked the woman if we ended up needing to change the items we were reserving if that would be allowed and she told me she had to check but it shouldn't be a problem. On February 26th, we reserved our package. The package cost was $2,000 and we decided to put down $500 even though $400 was all that was required (20%). Our wedding plans changed one month later and the original location was no longer going to happen. I reached out to them on March 29th to see about what options we had since we would no longer need the large package. I was contacted by the same woman I originally spoke with some days later to discuss the situation. We were told we signed a non-refundable contract and they would not give us any money back. This was totally fine with us. However, when we asked that we be allowed to apply our $500 deposit toward another item, I was told she needed to check with the owner or manager. She then reached out that their "policy stands". However, NO WHERE ON THE CONTRACT DOES IT SAY THE DEPOSIT IS NON-TRANSFERABLE. We went back and forth through email because we were not able to wrap our minds around them taking our money and refusing us another rental item. Mind you, this was more THREE MONTHS before the event date. We asked to use our $500 deposit for a tent that rents for $300 and we were still told no. They refused to let us use our money on ANY OTHER ITEM. Since I knew the deposit was 20% and wouldn't be refunded, I asked for the $100 difference back and was told they would keep 20% of the cost with taxes and delivery and would only refund us $37. I have spoken with several other rental companies and people who work with rental companies often and they have never heard of not being able to switch items if those items are in fact available still. One person told me that brides are known to make changes a week out from their date with no issue, yet we couldn't make a change three months in advance. We wanted to rent a $300 tent for $500. I am no expert, but that math works out in their favor. Instead, they kept our $500 and we got NOTHING in return. This is horrible business and totally unethical. read more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I have used this company for tool rental for probably 6 or 7 years now and no longer will. I probably average spend 7 to 8 thousand a year with them. The owner has always been an impolite individual and his actions are far less than professional. I had a lift reserved for a job and was told it would be there in an hour. Two hours later I receive a call from the driver saying he was on his way. I called the owner after being deceived and was told he was "not" the person I talked to even though he clearly was. Mind you the delivery site is only 30 minutes from the rental store. I professionally approached him about the issue and he snapped at me saying that I was wrong and he was canceling my order and also to never order from them again. NO PROBLEM! The homeowner where we were working was highly disappointed and also being another small business owner was shocked by the lack of professional action. If you are a serious professional you will NOT want to give your business dollars here. read more
