Typical biker bar. Day time was great but when I went at night the atmosphere was very intimidating. The service was ok, you could definitely tell this is very much local bar and tourist are not appreciated. As a single woman, I did not feel comfortable. People were vaping THC at the bar, I saw a man peeing next to the building, eew! read more

This place is awesome. I was first in the morning after a visit to the Springs and they were setting up for customer appreciation. Couldn't stay for that unfortunately, but had a quick cold one and bartender was really sweet. Seems like a motorcycle-friendly place, which is great. I visited this bar on Saturday night and had a BLAST celebrating my friend's birthday! The people were really friendly, drinks were strong and cheap, and the vibe was great. It's kind of a laid back meets rowdy crowd. They had karaoke and two pool tables, that was a lot of fun too. When passing by, one might be turned away by Mickey's with its rough and tough biker bar first impression, but doing so is a major mistake. In the realm of dive bars, Mickey's reigns supreme. This is a smoking bar, so be prepared for that. You will leave with the smell of a thousand cigarettes on your clothes. Being regulars at places like Dagwood's in Tampa, this is not a problem for La Chica and myself. The clientele and staff here are extremely "small town" friendly. This was our first time in the door, and folks made us feel right at home. The beer selection was pretty standard, with only a few craft offerings, but this is a Bud Light crowd. With great live music being provided by Dell and Brian, lively games of billiards, and friendly conversations all happening, any cold beer would be just fine. It was the first time in the past 5 years that I literally witnessed no one playing with their smart phones. I am pretty sure I was the only one, and that is because I was snapping pics for Yelp. On Fridays and Saturdays they close up between 1 and 2, and the kitchen shuts down between 11 and midnight. During your next visit to Crystal River, I highly recommend stopping by the friendly confines of the Harley-Davidson orange walls at Mickey's. read more

Showed up here tonight around 12:45, party of six. After waiting several minutes for a round of drinks for my group, I loudly asked why my group (which probably matched the number of people currently at this establishment) why we hadn't been served, one of the 2 female bartenders yelled back, 'no, you're not getting served'. As we started to leave, stating we'd be happy to spend our money elsewhere, the other bartender then asked what we wanted. We decided to leave and go to High Octane. Sad that an out-of-towner stops in, happily willing to drop a quick $100 at a local business and leave a positive review. Fully expect this place to go out of business. If nothing else, ownership should consider hiring some responsible and respectful staff members (I run a business with 86 employees, and I'd fire these girls in a heartbeat if they were in my employment).
