I spilled water on my Macbook Air and the computer still worked, but the screen did not. I shopped around for quotes for data retrieval and Darryl gave me the best price by far, provided customer service with a human touch, and said he would only charge me if he was able to retrieve the data. Other places charge just for a consult. He ended up replacing the motherboard in my computer with a spare one that he had (and replaced a missing key on the keyboard for free), essentially fixing the computer instead of retrieving the data. The end price was more than we'd first agreed upon, but he was flexible about it and we ended up meeting in the middle. I'm so happy that I was able to work with an independent business over a large corporation or company and with someone who treated me like a person instead of a business opportunity. Darrell made so many promises to fix my imac screen. He never came through with anything positive. I had to physically show up at his place to get any answers cause I was tired of waiting and being lied to. Id show up and nothing was done and he even showed me a different computer similar to mine and think I was foolish enough to belive him. Too bad I had a photo of my serial number and was able to catch his bull crap lies. My broken screen took over 3 months to come to the point of me having to buy a new computer anyway. All I had was a broken screen. This guys totally ruined my computer and tried selling my crap from his store. Stay away from this place unless you want to wait months and still get ripped off. It took a month to get my devices back. I dropped two iPads in need of new screens on a Monday. I told him these were for my son who had Autism and is very attached to his iPad so we would need them back as soon as possible. He said give me a few days but should be able to have it done by the end of the week. I called Friday, not ready he said he'd call me Monday. No call Monday. I called Wednesday, not ready. He said he should be able to have it ready by Friday. We played this game for an entire month!!! If he said from the beginning he was backed up and it could take a month I would've preferred to make the decision if I wanted to use him and wait the month or take it somewhere else. Instead, I'm left thinking there's something not right going on to constantly get the run around. I find him to be completely unprofessional and would not recommend him to anyone. Oh so, one iPad was given back in 2 weeks and the screen had dead spots. He said that was his mistake and to bring it back when the other one was done and he would fix it. I decided not to bring it back because I did not want to be held hostage anymore. The second iPad was fixed properly. I called on Friday, June 19th and set up a time for Monday to drop off my computer. I told him I had a dentist appointment in Kenilworth that morning and explained to him on the phone that I would be travelling back to my home town later that day. He told me he would work on the the computer and get it back to me hopefully by the end of the day. Unfortunately, I needed a new hard drive. He worked throughout the day, informing me of his progress and was able to save all my information which I never backed up. My computer was fixed first thing Tuesday morning. Not worth bringing your computers to be fixed unless it's a old computer...I've recently brought my MacBook pro there to be fixed for water damage .. I was told a few days I will know what's wrong..I waited a week called the store n was told that they just started on my comp. OK I was fine with that I was also told I would receive a call by that day or tomorrow.. nothing! I wanted till the following week I called again looking for a answer..I was told 30 mins they would call back...4hrs later I call again to be told that something he tried to uodate software and something they read on Google about fixing water damage computers...seriously?
