My friend truly enjoyed celebrating her birthday at MICS. The booking process was very easy, and I appreciated how smooth that experience was. Once we arrived, the customer service overall was pretty good, and I especially want to highlight Jace, who was an outstanding server. That said, we were not able to enter the room until 6:00 PM (or shortly after), but we were asked to leave promptly at 8:45 PM. Additionally, some food items were slow to arrive in the room, and a few of our food requests were missed. Overall, I would rate this a 4-star experience, and I do plan to return. Located right in the Hmart plaza, it's a convenient place to do some karaoke. It's closer to campuses than Duluth. They do private rooms with some packages, and they have liquor and food (pricier side). We got the standard suit that fits up to 6 people. Originally it's $45 for an hour, but they recently started doing 50% Mondays and Tuesdays. They have strict rules like you cant bring water bottles in unless you wanna pay $7 per bottle or buy water from them for $12 a bottle. The place is decorated very well and chicly. It has a Chinese owner so they're a bit biased to what songs they have up to date. You can either search by artist or song and can queue up songs. They don't grade your singing, but you can turn on the backing vocals. They provide a tambourine, and you can adjust the light settings. The security guy outside was chill and nice. I didn't feel welcomed by the lady handling the front desk, monotone, blunt, and irritated (basically didn't give a fun vibe which is such a shame because KAROAKE is such a fun activity!). If you ever have a work event, I think this place is worth a try but not anywhere near my go to places. read more

Convenient location, right off of Hwy 285, in the plaza with H-Mart and Brandsmart. We came here to celebrate my daughter's undergrad commencement service. This place is lit! Feels like an immediate vibe soon as you walk in the door. The sound system is top tier, the music selection and features to enhance your selections is a nice bonus. The food and drinks were good. The prices for food and drinks are severely elevated. Because it was a celebratory moment, I didn't care. This isn't a place I will visit often just to have something to do. Our server was a lil lazy. She wasn't as present as she should have been but probably because she knew a nice sum of gratuities were already included on the bill and she didn't have to work for it. First time here and I'm already ready to go back! Came here for my birthday and we had a blast in the karaoke room. The rooms are super cute and depending on the room you book it has its own private bathroom. The food is as good except the oysters we could have did without. The service was okay. I only say okay because there were a few hiccups. We were told that we would need to spend $200 all together but we could all be separated but that was not the case and we all had to be on 1 check. Such a fun experience! We went for a Christmas outing with about 8 of us, and we had such a blast. It was $75 I believe for two hours and was such a vibe. The rooms are nicely decked out with gold doors and they have a full service bar in front as well as you can order drinks and food while there. I loved the selection of music, you could pick from Spotify, to YouTube and I really liked that they gave us two mics. Boy did we have a time here! Renee was an amazing host giving us the run down on all the available functions and food options. The building gives night club vibes with a bar greeting you as soon as you come in. The cute room we were placed in had locker for extra storage and a tambourine for spirit. There was a wide selection of songs the only problem was searching for artists and songs that wouldn't pop up. The room stayed plenty cool with all the drinks we had. The hookah was packing a punch we tried peach and vanilla, it lasted our visit. Food was pretty good with a wide selection. Clean bathrooms with extra goodies in case you forgot something. Wheat really got me was the bouncer as the door that was not only a fire vibe but got me come back in a rap a whole Nicki song. Myself and the girls enjoyed a night out to let loose and have a time. My first time at MICS for a birthday was a fun experience! They had a lot of different food and drinks options, they decorated the room for my friend's birthday, and brought out the cake (we brought our own) with a sign and sparklers later in the evening. The service was good, but since it is so loud in there I guess there was some miscommunication in the food order and we ended up with a giant order of spring roll bites, but they were all delicious. I believe they charge by the hour, and charges for drinks were only allowed on one card, no separate checks. Food, however, could be on separate checks. Also, there is a minimum $200 spending fee. The music selection was great, you just search for karaoke versions of the song you want to sing on their iPad in the room. I recommend the Yuzu cocktail (citrus sweet), the Wang Zai (creamy and sweet), and the Blacker the Berry (sweet and bubbly, but stronger alcohol flavor than the other 2) cocktails! We also had the spinach artichoke dip, street corn, and the 4 burgers and fries combo. Overall, my first time experience was very fun, it was very different than my expectations for a karaoke room! It was a bit pricey especially with the $200 minimum spending, so I'd keep that in mind before going again. read more

So it's a really dope karaoke bar in a shopping center in doraville. You have to go upstairs but you really can miss it because it's a huge blue sign that lets you know where it is. Depending on what time of night you go, parking may be an issue because there's a lot in that shopping area so just keep that in mind. You'll come in and there's an area where they have the bar which is right in front of the door. You can't miss it. They have a lot of karaoke rooms so they have to put the borrow over. They can and it's right in front when you walk in so you can get a drink before you go to your room. The place itself looks really good. It's decorated very well and it's super aesthetically pleasing. The outside and the inside also look really good. It's not just when you walk in the lobby and when you walk in the hallway, the inside of the rooms are very well kept. I went for a birthday party and we had a room for several hours and we had a good time. There were a couple times where a technology was not working like it should so we have to put it on pause but overall it worked very well. The Stafford was super cool and they actually party with us a little bit too. The food that we had, was awesome. I have no issue with that! We were there for hours so everybody did get hungry but whatever they brought out, even though it might have been a little overpriced, it was really good. Tacos - Now the tacos were really good. They were overly stuffed, they had the right about a feelings plus the right amount of flavor! Fries - The fries, they were really really good, they came out crispy and everything. And they were actually pretty big. It wasn't like shoestring fries or anything like that. You didn't need any ketchup because it were already well seasoned. Chicken wings - The chicken wings were fire. They were really meaty and a really good size and they sauced them all the way up. I tried the teriyaki and I tried the hot and both of them were really good. Baked wings - The baked wings, you didn't really see these right out the gate on the menu but somebody at the party ordered it and I tried it and it was really good. Now I would have gotten this over to regular fried wings honestly LOL. The baked wings came with the wings on a bed of rice. It also had some gravy with it. I always have a good time at Mics. I have come here many times and I can honestly say that since under new management, things have improved so much from over the years. I used to work in hospitality and these people know how to assure their customers leave happy. This recent visit was no different. The staff were fun yet professional; they never disappoint! We did have a small hiccup within my party, but it was addressed very quickly. The food can be a little pricey, but it is delicious, nonetheless. I don't mind paying more for quality. I went to this place one night with my boyfriend and our 2 year old son and I was not ready to have that much fun lol! When we first arrived the guy and girl at the front desk were so pleasant, they were friendly and kind. We got a private room for 2 hours and had so much fun. We got a couple of drinks and just vibed. The decor in the place is beautiful, you can take so many cool pictures here and they even have hookah. I will absolutely be returning! The only thing is that this place is expensive, we paid $140 for 2 hours in a private room and a total of 4 drinks and this was on half off karaoke night so tread lightly. 2/17/24 is the date we were here celebrating my Sister's birthday. I really did not know what to expect, but I was excited, nonetheless, to find out. *Disclaimer***singing is not my forte*** lol The set-up is tailored for your enjoyment. You can book a room with as many people as you like. It is family-friendly because you are in your own space and not in a bar setting. More of a lounge feel in the room. We had about 12 people, and the room was big enough to accommodate us comfortably. The room had a long wrap around couch. A table in the center. Big screen TV behind the stage area for your karaoke experience. The hostess explained how we select our songs, order our food, and anything else that we needed to know. The rooms are proofed enough that we could not hear other parties being held. The ambiance of the place was really cool. It's a great vibe. I wish I had taken pictures of the decor. A few things stood out that I didn't care for- 1. The reservation was for 8pm-we didn't get into the room until almost 10 pm. 2. There is a $200 minimum for food/drinks. (wings, 2 fruit trays were given, basic finger food) 3. Bottle service. No cocktails by the glass. Only beer/wine coolers/soft drinks were sold individually (a bottle of Grey Goose-$180) Overall, it was a fun time. The birthday girl was happy, so that's all that matters. Went with a work group of 9 folks. The rooms are clean with lots of light options. The place had a fun vibe but the machine is a bit hard to use as much of it is in Asian. Once you get the hang of it it's not so bad. We could not figure out how to turn up the actual singers and turn down the mics a bit. They should give an extra 10 min for first time users to figure it out and have a little cheat sheet. The atmosphere is luxurious and clean with individual rooms to sing and party in with your friends. The room rates will vary depending on the size of your group. For a group of 4, we were given a smaller room which went for $35 an hour. Upon entrance, we were ID'd and checked by security then welcomed by staff at the front desk. The wait time was less than 10 minutes on a Sunday night. Once we were seated in our room, the server quickly gave us a run through of how to use the karaoke system -- it was simple and we did not have any issues. Our servers were very friendly, helpful, and prompt with our every need. For food, we ordered wings, nuggets, and fries. Everything was nice and crispy! We had a great experience overall. Water is only available at $8 per 1L bottle. What happened to water fountains? This is a big problem when a group of people are singing. The song selection is quite poor. Most artists my group searched for weren't in the system at all, and all the artists who were available only had a handful of songs to choose from. Lastly, the alcoholic drink menu is egregiously expensive. If you're looking for a sober evening of karaoke fun on a weekday, this is the place for you! read more

We were able to add on a birthday package that came with cute signs and balloons for an extra fee. We system was very hard to figure out which took away from the vibes a bit. Pro tip, just find YouTube on the system and you can type the title of the song + karaoke and add it to your list. I never did figure out how to change the order of the songs i placed in the cue. The food was giving out of the freezer however the fruit trays were very pretty and filled with fresh fruit. Some friends hosted a karaoke night at Mics last week. The idea of Mics is a great concept, but there are some major issues that should be tweaked. The number one thing is the karaoke machine. The machine is in Chinese, so it's very difficult to find the artist and songs you want. Also, the songs are a bit dated with little to no current songs. The lyrics oftentimes didn't go with the video. It's a fun vibe with an unique setup, but the execution is poor. Also, they only do bottle service, which can get pricey, so no individual mixed drinks. They do offer a food menu, but I can't vouch for the food since I didn't get anything. Our room ran a little hot too, which made it stuffy and congested. Overall, we made the best of it, but not sure if we'd be back in the future, especially with all of the kinks that need to be worked out. read more

I came here for a friend's birthday party on a holiday and it was definitely a unique and enjoyable karaoke experience! Service: I saw a lot of Google reviews saying that the service wasn't good, but it was the best service that I've gotten while at a karaoke spot. There were 2-3 people who came and checked in on us multiple times to make sure we were good, and they also offered sparklers for our cake and promptly came when we called via the service button. When you enter the venue, there is someone there to take your temperature and check your bags (you can't bring food into the rooms). Decor: We were in the medium sized room, which was still fairly small and could fit 10 people. The decor is nice and extravagant, the perfect environment for a birthday party. One super cool plus was that there was even a bathroom in our room. Music: The electronic music dashboard is pretty cool, although since the machine doesn't register spaces in the keypad, you have to type by initials of the singer (e.g. AG for Ariana Grande). It was nice to be able to have the options to change the volume, turn off the original singer voice, and delete songs on the queue. I didn't see an option to move songs around in the queue though, and the ones you add get added to the top of the queue instead of the bottom. The music selection was limited, although we were still able to find plenty of songs. There are way more Chinese songs than American songs, but for example some of the singers that we looked up but couldn't find were: fun., Lauv, Olivia Rodrigo, David Guetta. One big plus is that their songs have the actual MV's playing in the background, as opposed to some random MV or nature scene like many other karaoke spots have. Price: The food prices are pretty crazy (see pictures). The drink selection is good but they cost $6-$15 for non-alcoholic drinks. This isn't one of those casual karaoke spots that you go to with your friends spontaneously - you're probably going to spend at least $100-200 here. Parking: The whole H Mart parking lot area is almost always full during evenings. I parked in the back and there's an alleyway you can walk through to get to the stairs, where you go to the 2nd floor to get to MICS Karaoke. It's very easy to spot this place from the blue lights. Ok, I'm a white guy. We thought this was Asian kareoke but it had EVERYTHING. Tip , just youtube and add "lyric" to the song you want yo sing. We had a bunch of people and rented the VIP room. It was awesome. At the end of the night we had a $3,000 tab..it's not cheap. A $25 bottle of titos Costs $200 for bottle service. In the end my wife was happy with the party so I didn't mind the crazy cost. A lot of my friends ordered their own drinks on my tab. Somehow a bunch of extra bottles arrived. The only con was that the song selection was not up to date and was very random. They had songs from Travis Porter but no Juvenile. Also, a lot of the lyrics for the songs were incorrect. I ordered food... didn't get it. I told two different staff that I never received my food. After the third time, I was told that the kitchen was closed and to go to the reception desk for a refund. She pulled up my bill and told me that she doesn't have to refund it because there was only one bill and I won't be charged on my account. I told her that I see the charge on my bank statement, she then tells me it will drop off. A week later, I noticed the charge didn't come off... called Mics and told them. I was told there was nothing they can do. So, the bill was paid twice and I DIDN'T even get what I ordered.... AND I tipped . NEVER AGAIN! They're thieves! (Responding to Mics reply below) -- The $19 refund was an insult when that was not even half of the total amount spent. In total I spent $96 -- how does $19 refund suffice??? This was all a result of what YOUR staff communicated. This was after I was inconvenienced after (1) Not getting my food... THEN (2) having to leave the party to go to the front desk to "get a refund" (that I didn't get) but was then lied to, telling me that I was to pay on the group bill and not my individual bill. When I called to figure out why the charge were still on my account, the manager said that there's nothing she can do besides issue a $19 refund. Didn't even attempt to investigate further - she felt very comfortable dismissing me and my experience - why would a grown woman be happy about getting $19 back out of $96???.
