It's been years since I've used Mid America. I used to use them often when I was traveling a lot, but I stopped flying about 10 years ago and haven't needed rides to the Metrolink to go to the airport. At the time I was using their service, the driver I would get was really funny. I used to ask for him by name. At that time, the cabs were used cars that the drivers smoked in. Not real pleasant to ride in, but the service was good. Today, I needed a ride to Meinecke Car Care Center where I had left my car over the weekend. I googled taxis, called a couple places and got outrageous price quotes ($18 for a 1.2 mile drive). Mid America did not come up in the search, so I searched for it by name. Voila! There it was -- still in business! Yay! I was quoted a price of $6.50 or $7. Perfect! So, this morning, when I was ready to go, I called and ordered a cab. The cab was newer model SUV, smoke-free and very roomy. This was my driver's second day of driving on his own. He was prompt and helped me get my basket of laundry in the cab. (Meinecke is next door to a laundromat, so I had decided to get a load done while waiting for the oil change.) He was very polite -- a lot of "yes, ma'am" "no ma'am" which prompted me to ask if he grew up in the South or had been in the military -- both, it turns out. He was very pleasant and personable. He helped carry my basket to the door of the laundromat when we got there. I was very pleased with the service and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Worst cab service ever, take my advice and use Uber, you'll get you're ride on time and it's reliable. I scheduled a cab to be at my house at 4:50am and the cab was a no show. The guy that picked up the phone, basically told me, "ah....... Someone must have forgotten and never written it down. I was pissed, total waste of my time. I'm continuing using Uber. read more

Horrible. 1st time 1/29, needed to get to Dr., no problem, trip cost $7.50. 2nd time, return trip, cab was a no show, multiple calls all went to recording to call back later (@4:00 pm), had to wait for family to get off work for ride home. 3rd time 2/1, needed to get back to same Dr. Office, cab again no show, finally got call through, was an hr late, and fare was almost TWICE $$, $13.50, same locations, same time of day! Belleville needs a better service - feeling hostage to bad service -- only service I could find, shouldn't be allowed to do this to anyone. read more

Horrible customer service!! I called requesting a taxi and was informed to call when I was five minutes away from my pick up location. I called back and was told it will be an additional 30 mins because they weren't available. Seriously, I wouldn't use them. You are better off calling Uber!! read more

When Hertz refused to provide travel back to airport , within 30 minutes the cab was there with a professional driver Definitely will use again read more

This is the most rude,unprofessional service ever. They will give you eta then when that time passes and you call them back to see where the he'll they are, they act like your are a inconvenience to them..and will hang up in your face..rude son of a britches. read more
