Unfortunately have to give a star to review. This place is all around sketchy. My car was towed towards the middle of the night from a lot I'd parked in multiple times before with no issues. Other cars are almost always parked in the same lot or the one directly adjacent to it. Only reason I knew my car got towed at all was from speaking with local law enforcement after it went missing, and even they couldn't tell me why it happened. When I arrived to retrieve my vehicle, I was given vague reasoning as for why my vehicle was towed. I wasn't shown anything clearly permitting them to do so and was then charged exact change in cash by a representative who refused to identify himself or show relevant paperwork. Overall super sketchy business practices. These people seem set on making the process as inconvenient as possible in the hopes that you'll just give up and pay them. My daughter car was towed from Grafton Station in Yorktown. For the state inspection being out of date. The tag that was allegedly put on her car - was supposed to give her 72 hours. There was NOT a tag on the vehicle. When I went up there to help her get the car, I was told by the lady at the desk I know the owner, she lied and said she was the owner. Then charged me $200. I am so proud of my apartment complex Huntington Village in Newport News Va for banning Mid Atlantic towing from our buildings. I know towing is a business but this company was absolute vultures. I had to drive my friends vehicle home because she was admitted to the hospital last year and I had rode in her car. I had to get home and I politely left an explanation but they snatched it up anyways. They just go riding around and will tow your vehicle in 5 minutes. After numerous complaints and unnecessary towing they are not allowed here anymore and people don't have to be afraid to visit us if they weren't able to get a visitor pass. read more

They towed my wife's car for not having a decal. On our way back from picking it up, we spotted multiple cars without decals. The property manager told is that they hadn't called it in. If I could give zero stars I would. They towed my handyman's truck from my front yard in between him unloading building materials. I live in an HOA and parking in the front yard is not allowed but he was literally there for an hour and a half. They legally cannot tow unless the vehicle has been there for 24 hours and they have to give written notice. This did not happen. This company is a scam and we will be suing! read more

My car was towed from my apartment complex. It was quite honestly my fault. The office staff at Mid Atlantic were professional and had me processed out quickly. There was an apparent issue with my car as when I drove off, warning lights illuminated on the dash that were definitively not there before my car was towed. I returned and explained the situation and to their credit I was immediately escorted to my car to have a look: they were genuinely interested in helping resolve the problem. Luckily it was false fault and quickly cleared. Should I actually need a tow I would call without hesitation. I was frantic when I had my car towed and starting with the tow truck driver he was pleasant and he was just doing his job but he didn't treat me with any kind of disrespect he treated me like a human and he walked me through and he was very comforting . And then moving forward my car is stored and this is my first time I had my car stored and I had to call Mid-Atlantic and I spoke with Ashley and Sarah and they were awesome walked me through the whole process my nerves were all over the place I was very anxious they were so calm and understanding and compassionate and I am so happy that I got to speak and work with those two this morning thank you ladies so much read more

Horrible business, had a visitor pass in my car because I was staying at his place for the night.( completely allowed) car got towed but whatever, it happened I called the company and told the guy(the manager) iwas on my way to pick up my car and he got really smart with me for no reason but he said they'd be there. I got to his lot and called him and he said his guy is on his way. 45 minutes later I called again and tell him this is unacceptable when you say you'll be somewhere you should be there it's not cool to have me waiting for almost an hour and he says that I'm lucky I'm getting my car at all and that he can make me wait another hour if he wants,at this point he's yelling at me so I hang up I'm now currently waiting for two hours and I've heard nothing. Absolutely ruthless horrendous!!!.They towed my car from Rosie's. The tower agreed to meet me in their junk yard so I could recover my car. I told him our ETA was 12:24AM and that we were being dropped off by Uber. Mind you I was with my adult daughter, two women in the middle of the night freezing cold at a junk yard. They don't have an office or any shelter. When I called him, he refused to contact the driver who were supposed to meet us at their junk yard because he was towing other car to the yard. He kept on saying he'd be there between 30min to an hour. The same guy I spoke to came like an hour and half later, did not have a towed car but, looks like he was high as fuck. His life must be extremely harsh because no one, any decent human being would do what he did to two young women. He deliberately did that to us. He must have thought it was fun to cause emotional stress to women in 20 degree weather outside past midnight. Btw, they charged me $145 for towing 5 miles. My car was towed out of my complex this morning, they were just doing there job right. I called at 5 in the morning they are 24hours. The guy I felt with was the so-called manager. These people know the parking arrangements of my complex and are fully aware that we run out of ALL PARKING SPOTS ON THE PROPERTY. Me and my girl friend went out of town for a weekend and I gave her my guest parking pass to park in my complex. Let me reiterate Mid-Atlantic towing towed her car even though I had a valid guest parking pass 100% visible in her window. After the car was towed I had to pick it up and I even showed the employee that the pass was in the window. So I had to use my day off to go pick her car because they where to busy to return it. I certainly will be reporting a complaint to the Virginia licensing board. It is not difficult look at a dash board it almost cost me $309.00. Now do I get $309.00 because of a wasted day off? First of all, they are disrespectful and unprofessional. They are breaking state regulated tow laws by towing during this pandemic. They are putting the safety of everyone's health at risk. If you have been towed by these people, you have most likely had problems. Take them to court! They towed my truck from my apartment complex. My pass was turned around hanging from an air freshener as it would not fit around my mirror. My 4x4 truck was backed in and the spot was tight. I am 100% sure they picked it up from the front and the it was stored like it was pulled in. "They insisted they used dolly jacks to move a 6,000lb truck on a slight asphalt slope as well as gravel and dirt" That was a red flag! I just had my truck repainted as well, and they had scratched up my entire passenger side. The following day all my driving assist sensors are not working and my 4x4 has issues. As soon as the courts open back up we will be going there. Maybe if there is a next time for them they won't operate so shady. Hopefully they'll rethink who they tow. They clearly picked one of the most expensive vehicles in the parking lot to tow because there were 6 illegally parked vehicles that haven't moved in days. They said "they towed several vehicles the same day" but my truck was the only vehicle on the entire lot that looked like it ran.
