Wouldn't provide medication for my cat that it's had before unless I brought her in for a visit, which obviously is just going to basically double their profit. All about money and not the compassion of the pet anymore. I saw another review mention fraudulent charges for fake appointments.... I've just not change vets from this summer but now definitely will from this but had I not been totally watching my credit card that I'd not even given them permission to ever keep on file and had no knowledge of, they were running charges on my credit card. I have screenshots of these and even spoke with the office manager about them. They were supposedly for "missed appointments" that I never made. They would run them through one day and if it didn't work, they would try it the next. $78.00 or $55.00. Sure, not huge amounts, but I didn't make appointments for my cat's I won't disclose what they said it was for. Their first response was, they'd only said Happy Birthday, to one of my other cats, which was true. Then the truth came out. "Well, sometimes we make appointments blah blah blah......"They were no different than someone stealing my card at a gas station. Yet, they tried to justify it. And now, here our animals are without the safety of good Dr. care. I miss Dr. Sollenburger. :-( Money grabbers, to say the least. I gave this place another chance since they had changed owners. Unfortunately the greedy nature of the business was retained along with the name. My first appointment was cancelled by them an hour before my appointment due to an emergency. I totally understand so was rescheduled for a week later. I waited in the exam room for over 30 mins before the tech comes in to tell me the vet is dealing with a sick pet and doesn't know when she'll see me. Needless to say I left and will not be back. Besides sending me a hundred texts reminding me about their cancellation policy which they don't follow, the first words out of their mouth was what my bill was going to cost for today's visit. All this place cares about is money, not animals! Would not see my dog for ear pain because I didn't have the rabies papers with me, even though my dog had an updated 2025 rabies tag. My dog has bad ear pain, but that doesn't matter to them. They wanted to give him a second dose of the rabies shot to see him or should I say so they can make more money off of me. He literally just had one at a different place like a month ago. I would just stay away from this place every time I go there. It's a bad experience a hefty bill. 13 year old Chocolate Lab with arthritis...everyone recommended acupuncture at Mid_Atlantic....This place is the absolute worst!! I had to cancel an appointment because I had an unexpected death in the family and they still charged me the $78 visit. I asked for the next Saturday appointment they had available and was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. today, 5/10/25. Guess what...I drove 45 minutes to this place & they were closed...not a fucking word!!! TO ADD. Theyre creating FAKE ACCOUNTS AND GIVING THEMSELFS 5 STARS! Go ahead and check it out. 1. THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE, (after my second visit) they talked me into getting a "drug resistant lab test" 250 dollars and 3 WEEKS later STILL NO ANSWER! Call about 1 to 2 times a week to ask about it. THEY ONLY GAVE ME DRUGS FOR 10 days. they couldn't careless about other peoples animals! EVERY week they would give me the same answers "call back next week", "A doctor isn't here to explain the results".3 weeks! my dog could have DIED from this "drug resistant infestion" (duh, im being overdramatic ITS MY DOG!). After paying for lifesaving surgery for my dog (over 5000) theyre gouging me for money and making me wait for the health results for my dog that i have waiting atmost a MONTH for. 2. Next time i went into the office this (didn't take my wife this time). It was first in the morning and i was upset and tired, a lady was talking very loud after a few interactions with her i POLITLY/tacfull/respectfully asked her to "This has nothing to do with you and its all me but, can you please lower your volume" and contiued to explain that its my fault. NEXT FEW MINS, then someone walked in and started asking questions and being rude to me, NOT EXPLAINING why she's mad, i asked her to leave and bring the other nicer lady in. That's when she explained that she was a "manager" and i was "disrespecting another employee". Explained that i had no idea what she was talking about. *then she FINALLY explained what she was talking about* asked her "did she say what i did wrong besides 'disrespecting her" and asked the "manager" if she can come in with the employee that i "disrespected" and apologize. *Lady came in with "manager"* asked what i did wrong and she said (This is a direct quote *yes that needed to be said*) "You didn't do anything wrong, it was just how i felt". I aplogized for how she "felt" and they didnt applogize to me for being rude for no reason. 3. first time i was in there, they told me that "they couldn't get that medication and even if they could she (Lily/Dog) is too big (120lbs)". SECOND TIME i walk in, they said "yeah, we can get that" then they handed me the medication rated for her weight ALSO CHEWABLE. MEANING they had it and just said that so i would have to come again and pay another fee. 4. First few minutes i walked into the vet they would ONLY talk and look at my wife. Even though i was the only one talking and have all the info on MY dog. thought it was weird at first but paid no mind. until they started asking my wife questions and i kept answering (because she didn't know the info). After i answer they would continue to only talk to her. Found it VERY disrespectful. Looking for another Vet (I'm sure me and this company are both happy with that. My conclusion is that they ONLY care about money, ALL the other TWO places ive been to for this (her surgery, urgent care, the hospital for the surgery) have treated me MUCH BETTER THEN THEM and they are Very disrespectful to males (This is my experience with them and its "how i feel" maybe they just like disrespecting me, i don't know for sure) I only said this about 2 other small companies "I hope they go under" AGAIN! We are simply thrilled with the service we received at Mid-Atlantic Veterinary Hospital and with the whole experience, after bringing in one of our middle-aged cats for a health scare that appears to be normal cat aging. Everybody we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and very professional. There were some early hiccups with their booking system, but the level of courtesy and communication throughout alleviated any concerns we might have had. The waiting area was spacious -- very important when unfamiliar animals will be around each other -- and clean. The facilities were immaculate. Everything was so big and modern we did have a bit of fear of "sticker shock", but the price for a shot that lasts a year and an external exam was very reasonable and far below what we had been braced for. Knowing they have the capabilities for more encompassing diagnostic procedures if anything changes is also comforting. It's good to know where to turn if something goes wrong. Dr. Molly Potter was fun and friendly and did not pooh-pooh our concerns even when she quickly identified the likely nature as benign and normal, and let us know what further diagnostic steps were available to confirm this but did not attempt to upsell in the absence of any distress or alteration in behavior from our cat. I have never felt more at ease in the presence of a vet, or any medical professional for any species. The tech was also very friendly and efficient, and very good with our skittish little kittish. If I could give them a zero star I would. My dog's appointment was for 8:30am, when I got there they couldn't find my dog appointment at 8:30, instead they told me it was for 12:30. I showed them an email from them that my appointment was confirmed for 8:30am. The office manager then told me that "our online scheduling system doesn't work, but you could call us next time you make an appointment." IF IT DOESN'T WORK WHY USE IT?? I could be at work instead of wasting time and gas money. I'm looking for a new vet for my dog. They are too busy to care about your time and your dog, they didn't even apologize for the mistake, they just wanted me to book another appointment and leave. read more

I am so happy with the quality of care that both of my mid-aged cats had received this past weekend. My Mom and I recently just moved to the area, and my Mom was very anxious about taking our cats to a new vet due to a bad experience at another vet in our home state. Our cats have been so stressed from the move, and looking for a new vet who is patient, so caring, and attentive to not only our furbabies, but would also be reassuring and calming to my Mom that she felt confident in the appointment. From looking them up locally on Google, to calling in to make an appointment, getting an estimate, and even the service to then checking in before the appointment, the texts, and day of - I am so impressed! From the amazing tech who took the intake (I'm so sorry I forgot your name, but you really set an amazing impression on my Mom!) to the doctor and front desk - I am so grateful. One of my cats can be very stressed and upset, hissing and scratching at strangers, and has had a lot of separation anxiety since our move, and the quality of care and straight forwardness and understanding for what she needed was above and beyond. The patience, going with what my pet felt comfortable with, and explanation and set goals and milestones. I am so confident and happy to call them a new home vet for both of our furbabies. Great veterinary hospital. They take very good care of your animals here. It is always very clean and well kept. The staff is super helpful and always friendly. They are upfront and honest about your animals condition which I appreciate. When you bring your dog in they will clip their nails at no charge if needed. I took my cat here for all his kitten checkups. They're pretty pricey compared to other vets in the area. Reading another review, I do have to agree that each time I walk in for an appointment they're behind. One of the vets isn't so friendly and talked down to me like I was stupid for bringing one of my cats in for a health concern I had. I honestly only chose this place because it was the closest office to my home. It was a pretty nice experience until they scheduled me with the one vet. I thought it was kind of nice that they call you a couple days after your visit to make sure your pet is doing okay. read more

We drive 30 minutes to bring our cats here. Dr. Sollenberger was amazing and we really feel like she saved our cat's life. So impressed.

Friendly staff..... caught one staff member talking about me like i wasnt there... Didn't like that to much. But they are a little pricy for this area... They charge you for the smallest things that the Cumberland Valley Place would give you for free.... I should have stayed with them. I've been bringing both cats and dogs to them for about 15 years and I've liked every single vet who has helped us. This is a busy office with lots of customers, but they really try to get you an appointment as quickly as possible. And they call a day or two later to make sure everything is ok. That takes time and they do care. read more

The staff is super helpful and friendly. The problem is they are horrible with appointments. Every time I would go to them they would be between a half hour to a full hour late. What's the point of making an appointment? The staff at Longmeadow are just as knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and they are very punctual. read more

I have an elderly cat that was recently diagnosed with some health ailments. He recently suffered a broken leg (he is unable to support his weight on three legs). Keep in mind that I have visited MASH a total of four times. It took a total of four visits for us to learn that the vet at our first visit essentially ruined all chances for my cat to heal from his injury. To give some background, I was recommended to take him to MASH by another vet that could not treat my cat's injury. Upon our arrival, my cat was taken to the exam room and he underwent procedures that I am still unaware of the specifics. The vet then informed us that our cat was dying and she recommended euthanasia. She offered absolutely no test results that showed why my cat needed to be euthanized that night. It was my choice to take my cat home that night, if he was going to pass. In order to increase his comfort level, I pleaded with the vet to at least put a splint on his leg so he would be able to have some mobility. I was also sent home with a plethora of pain medication. This has been over a month ago and my cat is still alive and walking around using a splint for his leg. At the first vet's recommendation, I have been taking my cat for regular visits to MASH to replace his splint. Not until the fourth visit did I learn that the vet at my first visit did NOT properly align my cat's leg. This knowledge was gained when a different MASH vet noticed that the incorrect bones were trying to fuse together to heal. Due to muscle contractions, she was unable to align my cat's leg. Now, my cat has been left in a terrible situation. Since his leg was not aligned properly initially and the healing process has begun, a splint is now an ineffective treatment. Leaving reparative surgery or amputation the only two available avenues. He is both elderly and suffers from diabetes, so surgery to repair his leg or amputation were not recommended by my regular vet. I would absolutely NOT recommend taking a beloved pet to MASH. Although they charge "human" prices for care, they treat pets like they are random animals and not family members. read more

Been taking my fur babies here for 20 years and absolutely love them. They are knowledgeable and compassionate - not only with the animal but with the pet parents also. To those complaining about the wait time...I don't mind having to wait a bit because I know that when it's my turn I won't be rushed through the appointment - they are thorough with the exams and answer all my questions. You can't get any better than Mid-Atlantic!! A wonderful caring dedicated loving and educated staff!! I am a blessed pet owner and client of Mid-Atlantic 9 years ago we took one very sick kitty to the office, Dr. Franklin that day had to place a E Tube into our cat to save him from a liver disorder or he surely was going to die! Through the entire process we were treated so well with love, care and concern for our precious family member! Today we still have Calvin he is healthy and happy as ever! So if you are looking for more than just a vet this is the place for you it's family and it's people that give all they have to do what they can for you and your amazing pets!
