WORST PLACE!!! I honestly do not know how these employees sleep at night purposely ignoring customers!!! I've needed them twice in a yr...last yr and this week!! Absolutely no call back from them!! My 14 year old galgo (Spanish greyhound) is in the last stages of life with an inoperable tumor. Dr. Dawson is very compassionate about his needs and is advising us on how to give him the best possible care to keep him happy and pain free in his final days. I have been to this Clinic several times when my regular vet was not in on weekends to have a c-section done on my dogs and they did take her right away and did a wonderful job in stitching her back together. What a fantastic job. Better by far than what Dr. Charlene had been doing at Wayne Heights. There they always ended up having a hernia where you had to pay again to repair it. And they caused the death of three dogs and almost killed two more.Penny stated they were given too much whatever she called it stuff to put them out and they were still not fully out of it when they sent the dogs home one died and the other two would have died had I not rushed them back. Making it like they were so sorry and I did nothing when I should have. But there they suck up to you so you would feel guilty to report them, Won't happen again. With Waynesboro Clinic they have always been so kind even though with a regular visit the wait seemed to take forever. But I have to say this last time I took my dog there to have a dead puppy taken out during covid. The doctor came out to tell me she had a stage 3 heart murmur and she was not even 15 months old, where I was told they usually would outgrow at the age or around the age of 15 months. He persisted I should have her spayed.I told him no. then he came at me again and said once they have a puppy to pass the birth canal like this one did and get stuck and die that every litter she would have now the same thing would happen. He said do you want me to spay her and I said NO. So he went in after being told 3 times no I do not want to spay her. When the gal came out for me to fill out the form I put on the bottom DO NOT SPAY. So she comes back out and said the doctor said if he opens her up and finds damage done to her uterus he will have to spay her rather I wanted her spayed or not .I looked at her and knew he was going to find a way to spay my dog. So I told her to get my dog and bring her back out here. I do not want him to touch my dog because I knew he was going to spay her. I have not went back. Not saying I never will,but I will not be pushed and I would have no proof anything was wrong with her.And they have always been kind and caring when I went there.These stars are really only for that doctor who was an older man and not that bad looking and he was kind, but just because a young dog had a heart murmur did not mean she would not out grow By the way she no longer has a murmur and none of her three litters of puppies has ever had one so far.Never let anyone pressure you into anything.Follow your gut. Had she still had one after 15 months I would have had her spayed.He told me she would never pass the pup on her own and she did.I was going to attach the photo,but it is not a very good looking sight for a lot of people to see. We have been taking our pets to Waynesboro Vet Clinic for many years with great satisfaction. Only recently has their service gone to the "dogs". Getting emergency appointments is almost impossible. They will put you on hold and not bother to return back on the line. They will tell you to call first thing in the morning and not answer the phone. Trying to pay your bill and get out of the office takes forever. Don't even go close to the time they stagger their lunch period unless you like spending an enormous amount of time getting out. The people up front could care less if you tell them you will need to go elsewhere for care. This is not the place we valued for so many years. This clinic is a far cry from the one we visited for many years. They apparently have become overgrown and unfortunately the customers are paying for the growth. read more

We have taken our pets here for 16 years (before they even moved to their new office). Today I call because my bloodhound has a horrible ear infection and I am told they could not see him for 2 weeks! 2 WEEKS! I was told they could put me on a cancellation board and call if something comes open, but in the meantime there's nothing they can do because "they are so swamped". I will never take another animal. They are not nice. They are rude. They charge too much, if you don't have the money then your pet doesn't get care. Back in the 80's and early 90's when you walked in you felt the warmth. Now it's cold. They don't talk to you kindly in person or on the phone. Service there sucks. read more

The story with this place is unfortunate, I've been going here for over 20 years and have always highly recommended this clinic over any other in our area but in the past years something has changed. The management is horrible they are always overbooked, the receptionists rarely follow through with what they say they'll do (I've felt like we've had to practically harass the receptionist to actually get her to do anything) there have been many times we were told "Oh we'll have the vet call you" or "We'll call you in the morning" and never hear anything until we call again. Even getting them to fax something over to another clinic for prescriptions that our pet NEEDS was a hassle and wasn't followed through until we continued to call. Good luck ever getting in here if you have an emergency too, you'll just be told they don't have the time/space and will have to go to Hagerstown and pay over 500 just to even have your pet be seen. I give 2 stars because I still believe in the quality the veterinarians themselves bring but am disappointed with everything else. I shouldn't feel as if we're being a hassle to them when we call or try to speak with someone. Will most likely be moving over to Greencastle vet clinic. read more

Staff, doctors and price are all amazing at waynesboro vet! It's a bit of a drive, but it's worth it every time we go. They are so loving to our little pup when we bring him in for those not so great surgeries (yes, he's already had 2 at the age of 7 months). I highly recommend this place to all owners in the DMV area who are looking to save and get the best treatment for their fur babies that bark or meow. read more

We have taken our three dogs here and liked the vets office until our most recent visit in which we had one of her dogs spayed. We had spent $200 to have the service done we also had them give her rabies shot while she was under. when we arrived to pick her up there was a fee for an extra $40 on our bill. We were charged an exam fee for the rabies vaccination. The 30 seconds it took to render the service constituted another $40. I questioned the fee because obviously she would be examined already because of undergoing surgery. I was told by the office manager the fee is to pay for postcards and computers. I asked for the fee to be removed and my request was rejected. This is unethical and obviously our business with our 3 dogs is not valued. These vets are money hungry and will charge you for post cards. Do yourself a favor and find another vet. read more

Waynesboro clinic has been taking care of three generations of our family dogs. Year after year they have proven to be the best vet clinic we know. Dr. McCullough, Dr. Twigg, and all staff are fantastic. In good times and in sad times they have always provided the best treatment we could ever expect, and our pooches couldn't have been in better hands. We live 70+ miles away, but the long drive is well worth it, as Waynesboro doctors and staff have proven their genuine care for their patients and patients' human families. We had to sadly say goodbye to our 16.5 year-old Doce, and one more time the Waynesboro vet clinic was there for us and for her until the end. My vet , they have taken care of me since I was a little pup. I get all of my shots here , and they don't hurt. I like the staff the are all very nice and prompt with requests. I have never had any issues with service. I think some of their services were a bit pricey so inquire in advance. read more

FAR TOO BUSY...NO QUALITY OF CARE TO OUR PETS!! I have been taking my dog and cat here for 5+ years. After today, it will be my last visit. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Twigg because I really like her. She only see patients certain hours so I had to leave work early. I arrived for my 2:30 appointment and waited an hour. This is NOT unusual at this clinic unfortunately. It stresses the animals and owners. We then asked the receptionist about our appointment. Several minutes later, a tech came and escorted us into the exam room. She apologized for the wait and blamed the confusion on a several month old scheduling system. We were there for our cat's yearly visit and vaccines and had some questions. She was rushed out of the room by a doctor that was NOT Dr. Twigg nor did he introduce himself. The appointment was rushed and he was very rough with our very gentle cat. Our cat was extremely stressed during the appointment and once we got him home. He has not been his normal playful, fun-loving self since. And this was just a yearly wellness check! We had to ask this mystery doctor if our cat was healthy as he was walking out the door. He said, we could bring him back in 3 weeks to check his weight. Why? His weight isn't up or down and he's not sick. I wouldn't put him through this again in 3 weeks for anything! We get out to checkout and that is just as chaotic. Telling us we needed medicine that we didn't need, kids screaming. Oh, and a big sign saying if you are 10 minutes late for you appointment you will be rescheduled. This place is a JOKE. A lady sitting beside us prior to us being seen, sat with her dog for 45 minutes for an 8 minute heartworm test because they told her they forgot to set the timer. My observation...the front office can not schedule appointments nor check you in for your appointments. They can not read the doctors notes so you need to know what is going on or they may give you medicine you don't need or the wrong medicine. I observed many people leaving with large bags of medicine. Their animals may be sick but...WOW the bags of medicine were very large. I was not consulted before being changed to another vet when they had messed up scheduling. The appointment was rushed and it stressed and traumatized my cat as well as me. They have plenty of patients, they don't need me and my animals. It is evident that they are too busy!! read more

Quality care, massive savings! We have had dogs and used 5 vet clinics over 30 years. This vet clinic is the BEST one we have found. We drive 70 miles to visit this clinic. Exams are thorough. The surgeons are highly skilled. They diagnosed testicular cancer on routine exam, and my dog is still here 5 years after surgery. When my old dog was having trouble breathing, they did a very specialized surgery. Both of these surgeries went very well, and I feel my dog gets the best care available. Compared to DC metro vets, the cost of care is VERY reasonable, which makes it worth the drive. We have saved thousands of dollars on dog care. This veterinary office is all about nothing but the $$$. It cost me over $160 to get 5 booster shots for my dog!!! I'm not really quite sure why they charge an office visit even for a follow-up. My doctor doesn't even do that. Then, after being a customer for YEARS, I had a check come back NSF because I wrote it from the wrong account. They, after being told it was already on the way, because I had mailed it as soon as I knew the NSF happened, they called my husband's phone 4 TIMES IN ONE DAY about it!!! Don't they think people work and can't call back right away???? One message would be sufficient. They wouldn't even release a copy of my dog's shot record until they received the MO! No biggie, really, because I had time for them to receive the money and go in and get the records before I needed them, but the fact that they won't even release a piece of paper is ridiculous. And one of the dogs I was requesting records for isn't even the one who the check was written for! I won't recommend this place to anyone and will be taking my business elsewhere. Add the hassle of them not even being technologically advanced enough to have email (really, the records need to be faxed, picked up or snail mailed???) and the excessively repetitive calls, not even giving someone the chance to return a call while they might be at work, and I will not be seeing them anymore. read more
