I thank the Lord that my family chose this facility in my recuperating process. Even today when they are shorthanded due to lack of staff, they still manage to get the necessary job done, and done well. A special shout out to my nurse, Natasia. Here since yesterday morning with the exception of a couple of hours of sleep. One of the newest nurses here, I could tell she was truly dedicated to her patients and work. One other shout to the kitchen staff who don't get enough recognition from the residents or myself. Breakfast was served on time this morning, a feat in its own. I recieve all my medications as required and the PT department is one of the best I've ever experienced. The entire time I've been here, Guest Relations has stayed on top of everything. Repeatedly stopping in to make sure I am comfortable and getting everything i need. Of course, in any organization there may be one or two disgruntled workers, and in my time here only once I had an aid who was not up to par. So dont give up, at one moments bad taste because this facility has provided me with a 99.9% absolutely everything i needed to get me back on my feet, and get me walking out the door to go home. My mom being on over 11 meds at this facility signed a document without a family member present that she will cover the co-pay. My mother 79 yrs young thought co-pay is $25.00 . When I finally checked my mom out of this facility, in her mail was a bill for $4818.50!!!! After contacting the business unit in Baldwin, NY the young lady told me that the bill is actually $7,751.50($209.50 per day)!!!! If a program could not be found for my mother, why did it take $7,751.50 to make her aware & the family!!! We only live around the corner from this facility.!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

He insisted I lay on the edge of a "$20,000 table" despite my balance and neurological disabilities--which he openly mocked. He then left me unattended on the machine; it slipped, injured my back, and now I'm stuck getting an MRI. His billing is predatory. He tried to charge me $60 per visit despite my $0 Medicaid copay, asking "what can you afford to pay?" When I refused to pay his extra fees, he cut my sessions from an hour to 30 minutes. He is a high-pressure salesman bouncing between rooms to upsell vulnerable patients. Absolute malpractice. Stay away!!
