Upon checking in and waiting about 20 minutes, Joe ,PA, came in and looked and immediately identified her problem(stone in her gums, and prescribed medication to address her pain and swelling. He also said the first weekday, an ENT doctor will be referred for a visit. I was pleased with the care and most importantly, the quick diagnosis Joe reached. Since we are snowbirds, our primary doctors are South and I would recommend this establishment if in a pinch. Addendum: Joe diagnosed the source and prescribed an effective antibiotic but we never heard back with an ENT referral.

His pain was dismissed. He lost almost 20 pounds in the first week and recorded as lost at the previous hospital, which was completely untrue. By the time he left he was not eating. They blamed everything on the patient and did little investigating. The nurse Christine should retire or find a new profession. While most of the staff was dismissive, she was downright mean. I found him asleep with his face in his dinner tray. He was afraid to drink because the staff never showed up in time to get him to the bathroom. Issues were reported to nursing staff but never relayed to the doctors. After several weeks of "rehab and care" my father died, still unable to move much or eat at all less than 2 months after discharge. If this is the best we can offer, healthcare is truly an abomination.

Once I filled out paperwork, I was immediately brought into the emergency area, where I met the nurses, and soon after that the P.A. on call that evening, all of whom were referred to on a first-name basis (who does that in a hospital emergency room?). Let me just say it was a bit surreal - but in the best way possible - that I immediately felt at home, and at ease, even though I was going through an episode. I still get choked up thinking about the amazing, caring experience I had there. When I left, I literally gave hugs to the two nurses and P.A. that tended to me (Molly, Chris and Josh - you all freakin' rock, man), and I felt like I had made friends for life in a little over 3 hours (and next time I'm up your way I'm gonna take you all out to dinner to show my gratitude!) After getting through all of this, it gives me hope that there are still good, kind, caring people out there in this world, and that healthcare *can* be a good experience when people love their jobs and where they work. The waiting time wasn't too bad, considering this is an urgent care. The doctor actually listened to my concerns. I went to this urgent care because I was in excruciating pain in my foot; I couldn't walk properly anymore and needed immediate assistance. I went to a podiatrist the day before my visit here who told me I may need surgery. Good thing I visited this urgent care because after the X-rays were taken, the doctor said my foot looks completely fine, I just have an infection. No surgery needed! The fact that the doctor at this urgent care was able to figure out the real source of my unbearable pain within an hour, speaks volumes of this place. I came into this urgent care feeling awful and in such immense pain. Upon leaving and in just one hour, I had a diagnosis, prescriptions and a small boot for my foot! I mean, I am still in awe I cannot believe how incredible these people are! Basically I don't know what else to say to express my gratitude and the incredibly positive experience I had here. Also, this urgent care has a radiologist ON SITE. It literally only took 15 minutes from when the X-rays were taken until the doctor came back into the examining room and explained the results of the X-rays to me. Talk about efficiency. The second error I caught as he hadn't gotten his morning meds as of 11:00. I asked about it and the physician assistant from cardiology was considering raising the dose of his blood pressure medication due to high readings, The communication with the cardiothoracic team was a total clown show! We got multiple dates and times for his surgery several times a day. His after care in ICU was a much better experience but I truly can't recommend CMC in any way.
