I took my truck in this morning due to a noise coming from the front driver-side wheel. After their inspection, they recommended replacing the front bearings, the front driver-side U-joint, the rear brakes, one rear caliper, and one rear rotor -- all totaling around $3,500. Just the front bearings and U-joint were quoted at approximately $2,200. Unfortunately, they didn't provide a written estimate or itemized quote, even after I paid for the inspection. Speaking of the inspection -- this is where things get frustrating. Although they advertise a free "Midas Touch Visual Courtesy Check," I was charged $188.69 for what they called an "Engine Service" / "Level 2 Diagnostic Inspection." This supposedly includes scanning for trouble codes and reviewing the results. I currently have three dashboard lights on, including the check engine light, and none of these were addressed. The only feedback I received was based on visible, physical issues -- nothing related to the diagnostics I paid for. I also specifically asked them to check why my heater wasn't blowing. They never mentioned it again, let alone offered a diagnosis or recommendation -- it was as if they completely ignored the request. Overall, I left feeling misled and overcharged. For the price I paid, I expected better communication, more thorough diagnostics, and at the very least, a written quote. I cannot in good conscience recommend this location to anyone -- not even my worst enemy. read more

Terrible experience and shady service! I went to Midas to have all four of my headlight bulbs replaced. Originally, only my left high beam wasn't working, but I asked them to replace all four to keep things even. Instead of just doing that, they overcharged me and claimed that my right socket was "fried"--even though that light was working perfectly before I brought it in. They didn't even provide the correct part name for me to fix it myself. Worse, after their work, my car started dying constantly, and I found out they had messed up the wiring to my alternator. That never happened before I brought my car in. They also never gave me back the light bulb I bought for the right low beam, which they were supposed to use for the replacement. Now I'm dealing with extra repairs and more costs--all because of problems they caused. It feels like they're just creating issues so I keep coming back and spending more money. I will never trust Midas again and I strongly suggest others look elsewhere for honest service. read more

My wife and I were visiting family in Omaha when her car started running very rough and you had to gun the engine at stop lights. This was on a Saturday morning. I called around 8:00 AM and they said come in, we work you in. They did. Car work just like before. The thing that most impressed me was the front desk. People came to the shop, the owner knew who they were without having to look them up and the customers called him by his first name. It may be a franchise, but it is also a neighborhood auto shop and people trust them to fix their car. It kind of reminded of Cheers "where everybody knows your name". I can think of no higher praise for a very good local shop. read more

They quoted me over $300 for a job I was able to do myself in my driveway in under 30 minutes. To top it all off, I am missing things in my car that I checked were in there before dropping it off. I usually never trust chain mechanics. I've had issues with places like Firestone and Pep Boys, but Midas was truly the best experience I've had with a mechanic outside of family friends. They were very efficient, checked everything out for me and were very honest when they couldn't check the computer in my car (since it was made within the last 3 years) and told me to take it to the dealer. They also didn't push tires on me. Simply recommended I get some replacements soon. I cannot recommend them enough. They have restored a little faith in mechanics for me. read more

I brought my car here to be fixed. I called and got a quote and then I was told more than triple that amount when I got there. The cover to my engine wasn't put back on correctly and they left out a bunch of wires by my tire. I didn't have a wobbly tire when I got there but I had one when I left. This place messed up my car further and put my life in danger. I DO NOT recommend getting your car fixed here. read more

These guys are professional, friendly and helpful. They do great work. The only issue I have is that they charged me $30.00 to plug the nail hole I had in my tire. I only went there because it happened quickly and it was the closest place. I usually get my tires fixed at Wal-Mart for $12.00-$15.00 max. Same type of hole same location on the tire ... They are extremely over priced and I will NEVER get a tire fixed there again. They gave me a quote for breaks and tires. Just because I was curious to see if this is a trend there. Again, over priced and I do not recommend going here for service. Everything in their quote was extremely over priced. For the exact same tire and service at Firestone(plus lifetime alignment) was over $200 cheaper for the exact same. I trust Firestone as well. You do get what you pay for but this is gouging. read more

Went in about 45 minutes before closing time and wasn't expecting them to hoist my car up and look at it, but they gladly did! My first impression was very good, as I approached the building, a nice young man stood patiently holding the door open the moment he saw me exiting my car and greeted me with a very friendly hello. His enthusiasm for Midas and polite demeanor won me over. I was also pleased with the quality of the work, My car is riding smoothly and noise free!! This is one of the best places to have work done on your vehicle. The TV commercial where the Midas touch hand says that Midas will check to see exactly what needs to be done, and not sell you something that you don't need. I was told that I needed a $150 battery or even a $400 alternator. So I took my car to Midas for an expert opinion. Turns out I had a loose battery connection. Point is: These guys know what they are doing. They are friendly, honest and have a great sense humor and fair play. Highly recommend. . read more

I have been using this Midas for 3 years now and can't say enough about their level of service. I typically go here for their old change and tire rotation ($24.99 with coupon card) which is a great deal! But, besides the norm, I would highly recommend them if something drastic happens. Case-in-point: I recently had my alternator die on me. I had to have it towed to Midas. I needed a new alternator and serpentine belt and purchased them from Autozone. I called Phil (manager) and told him the situation and without hesitation he hooked me up! He only charged me labor because I supplied the parts, but keep in mind most places refuse to do this! In less than a day Phil put the new parts in, gave me a $10 coupon, and waited for me until I could pick up my vehicle. These guys go above and beyond to take care of you and this is the kind of service that you rarely find these days. read more

Called ahead to ask: "I'm concerned about Covid exposure. There is a place that just let's people stay in their car, can you do that?" The guy said "no" but you should be able to be comfortable in our waiting room." Turns out it is a small waiting room with him and other customers and techs in and out--nobody has a mask. That is their choice, but when I call in ahead and tell them my concerns I would expect them to be honest with me--maybe tell me, "we aren't concerned about it, so if you are, go someplace else." I've seen other places advertise that they wipe cars down after the tech is in it. Midas didn't. I waited in the hot sun for 45 minutes and the guy came within a foot of me without mask to hand me a sheet for my address-which he could have asked for from 20 feet away--or on the phone.... Either they completely don't understand other people's' ' health concerns or they don't care. :( read more

I recently got a used Ford Explorer...Bob and his crew went through it with a fine tooth comb since it had been sitting in a garage for 3 years. The replaced the entire braking system since it was toast. And advised me on a few other issues. Bob and his crew will never ever tell you that you need something that you really don't. I did not have any work done here, but that is the point of this review. We are from out of state visiting family for Christmas, and we noticed our brake warning light periodically coming on. I took the car to this Midas location based on the earlier positive review, suspecting that I needed new brake pads. Contrary to my expectations, they told me that the pads were OK and that the problem was low brake fluid. They took out the battery to get to the back of the master cylinder and traced the brake lines to the wheels to determine whether there was a leak. The found none. So they filled the master cylinder and sent me on my way without charge. The acid test of an auto repair shop whether they will tell you that you don't need something when you think you do. These guys passed the test with flying colors. read more

We have been doing brakes here for a long time. The lifetime pads for a courier was unheard of 20 years ago, but they always replaced them free. They don't offer to fix things you didn't ask for, always a plus. Will turn rotors instead of replacing them. And we have never had a problem with something needing to go back because it wasn't done right the first time. read more

If I could give Midas lower than 1 star, I would. I was over charged, over looked, and felt like they thought I was stupid. When you can't take a screw out of tire and plug it because "the tire wasn't worn down enough", you're the idiot, not me. When told to bring the car back and they would 'take a look at it', I had to laugh. Taking a look at a car (you didn't fix) twice isn't gonna solve any problems. I used to take my Toyota Rav4 to the dealer for service. At one point, I took it to Old Mill Toyota to have the oil changed. They immediately called me and said my front brake pads needed to be replaced. I told them to go ahead because I knew they had been feeling kind of strange. They also told me that my back brake pads needed to be replaced and that my transmission fluid needed to be flushed. I told them to hold off on that since the front brakes were going to cost me $300. I decided to call Midas here in Bellevue to see if they could do the back ones for a more reasonable price and check the transmission fluid. A week after being robbed blind by the Toyota Dealer, I took my car to Midas. They put my car up on the rack and about 10 minutes later came back to tell me that my back brakes had a lot of miles left on them...like 25,000! And that my transmission fluid was absolutely fine. I couldn't believe it! They took my car off of the rack and didn't charge me a dime! That was 3 years ago and I haven't gone anywhere else since! The Bellevue Midas is THE BEST in the area! I was referred to it and after 3 visits there over a little over a year, oil change, tires, shocks and alignment I can confirm that my first impression has not changed. Great work at a fair price by people who care. Scott went out of his way to make some warranty issue go smoothly. Work is done promptly and estimate is on target. Worst customer service care I have experienced. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago to have a small part in my car replaced. I discussed the issue with the sales rep and discussed the part to be ordered for my upcoming appointment. Upon arrival they did not have my part and I had to re-explain the issue. They could not get the part that day and were not prepared to work for my scheduled appointment time. I would not recommend Midas for auto care. read more

After a horrible auto experience with an alignment at the Toyota dealership right down the road, I called this place only because of all the raving reviews. Midas, what's that, never heard of it, but I'm so glad others made such raving reviews that caught my attention. Yah, they are all telling the truth! This place is awesome. The manager, Brian, is just as concerned about my vehicle as I am! He calmed me down on the phone, assured me that his team would have my vehicle back to good in no time...and that's exactly what he did! He even offered to do the diagnostics and give me the report to take back to the dealership so they could fix it since I had already paid for an alignment there...and he wasn't going to charge me a dime! But hey, any person with that type of work ethic is def worthy of me paying for the work to be done. My 4Runner left his shop steering perfect...and I left so happy, felt like I had made some new friends. I am confident that they can fix any auto issue! They have my business for the remainder of my time here in Nebraska! Thanks Brian, Mark, and Jerald! You guys rock! And a side note, while I was there, 2 rugged individuals who were walking looking for an auto parts store was in the business parking lot. Brian waved them inside and asked if they needed to warm-up (it was 13 degrees out!). He told them to help themselves to the coffee and sit down and relax. The 2 felt so comfortable that they had him speak to the individual on the other end about the auto parts they were sent to get. In my opinion, this used to be in my opinion, this used to be a better place to get my car serviced.. most recently the old age in a manager was relocated and a new one was put in his place. My daughter and wife or chastised by the check in individual for the way they moved our cars around in their tight little parking area. They made fun of my daughter in front of my wife and other customers. Absolutely a lousy way of showing customer value and respect. I had three cars including a BMW which was expensive to service and will be taking those cars elsewhere. I don't know who was working at Midas, it may have not been Bob, or Brian, but back in the 90's I took my 1985 Nissan pickup in to get a exhaust leak fixed, they had to replace the pipe between the muffler and the catalytic converter, it had three natural bends in it, they replaced the pipe. When they were finished with it, it still leaked! It was cold out, so when you started the truck, you could see the exhaust. The leak was right at the point where the pipe hooked up to the catalytic converter, three times I took it in to get it fixed, then I heard the leak again, and I looked... no leak below, now the exhaust manifold leaked where it hooked up to the head. So I went back to Midas to show them where the leak was now, and they said it would be a charge, I said it was caused by all the movement of moving the pipe around trying to get the leak fixed by the catalytic converter, because it did not leak from the manifold before, so they had to, have done it! The Manager looked at me and said prove it! I wrote a letter to corporate twice, never heard a word. I wood not touch Midas with a ten foot pole, what a jerk of a company. I will never give them a chance to rip me off again. read more

I had been a long time customer for many years with nothing but excellent things to say. Until recently... I think there has been a change in staff or management. This place had always been pretty honest and fair to me in the past and as a woman that means a lot. I know a decent amount about auto maintenance and repair for a woman. My dad taught me more than what most women know. Consequently, I know when someone is trying to take advantage of me. The last time I came in for what was supposed to be a basic maintenance, oil change visit, they tried to charge me over 700 dollars for an oil change and a tune-up! I knew this wasn't right. Shame on the staff there now. I knew something wasn't right when I showed up and what was once a waiting room full of a diverse group is now mostly just young naive women. They charged a lady sitting next to me a similar amount for a service that should have been no more than half that. It's too bad... I really liked this place and I was a loyal customer until now. read more
