They determined the issues centered around several issues related to the compressor and adjacent parts (receiver dryer and expansion valve). To fix it, they wanted to charge over 1300$ for parts and labor -- on an A/C compressor kit, labor, refrigerant, and recover/recharge. For parts, they wanted to charge $776 for the compressor kit. The exact same part (by item #) costs anywhere between 407$ and 573$ locally. For labor, the estimate was $348. For comparison, AAA estimates $191 (average) for labor in this area for the same fix. That rate equates to $125 - $160 per labor hour, depending on the estimated hours. I'm suspect that for normal oil changes and routine maintenance, they are probably good. But, I am glad I declined the major repairs.

There was a turn because almost 2 hours later I had to go to the register and ask what the problem was. The manager James was just as hospitable as Chris and this put me at ease. I explained my issue and he did everything to remedy the situation. I am HUGE on customer service, so even though I had to wait, I didn't mind because I saw how each of their employees interacted with the customers. I myself interacted with 3 people that day and each of them were respectable. The only thing that prevented this from being a 5 star review is the failure to communicate the issue with finding the correct part, otherwise great job!

Today the technician fill my 3.0 diesel with 10 quarts of oil and it calls for 7 quarts. Luckily I noticed as soon as I pulled out of the bay that I didn't have the 3 quarts in my 5 quart jug I brought with me. I quickly went back around and they dropped the oil down to the proper level of 7 quarts. They had a mechanic drive the truck to ensure we didn't have any white smoke or oil leaks from the seals. They had 3 quarts brought to the shop to replace the 3 that had to be drained. What should've been a quick oil change turned into my being here for nearly an hour and half. I asked if they could comp my next oil change and they said No. When you're here just make sure the technician knows the amount of oil your vehicle needs. They have access to this information and this shouldn't have ever happened.

This used to be the only place I would use but always would have my Dad take my vehicle. I called to make an appointment to see why my air conditioner was not working. I called a few days prior and was quoted $280. On the day of my appointment the 4th of April, I had made to have my air conditioner checked due to it not cooling. I arrived on the 4th and the man explained that they would only charge me for the Freon that needed to be added. After they took my truck back. They advised me that my hoses and everything was good and the Freon was good but my compressor had went out. I asked them how much that would be. They told me they would not be able to fix it that day even though the appointment was at 9 AM that morning. They quoted $1300 for the compressor and having to charge the system again. So once I went inside the office, I found how they had charged me for draining my lines and charging a system of $400 prior to checking my compressor. After talking they agreed that was not right and they were going to refund my money. After giving the run around for 3 days and the refund was not returned to my card, I sent my Dad up there to handle it. They told him it would be returned by April 11th and if not to come back up there. On April 13th he went back up there and was told by Kim to give it until April 25th, they were either going to refund back to the card or send a check in the mail by April 25th. When I didn't receive either one my Dad went back up there on April 27th and was told by Kim that they were not going to refund the money. It took them 3 weeks to give me the run around and then refuse to refund my money. I advise you to find somewhere else to do business. Here is a voicemail from Kim saying that I was going to get a refund.

I pulled up and Cody and Gabe, got the socket and lug nuts extracted with in 30 minutes with no BS, felt like a couple big bros helping me out. Decided to buy some new tires from them, Tiffany gave me an immediate quote, called in for the tires and they got me in and out. Shout to the gentleman with the glasses and anyone else on team that was part of the job. From what I experienced, the JP Auto Team really gives a damn about their customers and just cares about people general.
