I stopped by this company yesterday to get my car serviced. I was impressed by the initial contact, Chris greeted me immediately and asked what I needed. I already had a quote and asked if it could be taken care of on the spot or would there be a wait to order parts. He informed me they could get it done right away. There was a turn because almost 2 hours later I had to go to the register and ask what the problem was. The manager James was just as hospitable as Chris and this put me at ease. I explained my issue and he did everything to remedy the situation. I am HUGE on customer service, so even though I had to wait, I didn't mind because I saw how each of their employees interacted with the customers. I myself interacted with 3 people that day and each of them were respectable. The only thing that prevented this from being a 5 star review is the failure to communicate the issue with finding the correct part, otherwise great job! read more

I've been coming here for a very long time receiving oil changes. I always bring my own oil and filter as the oil for my truck is specific and they usually don't have on hand. Today the technician fill my 3.0 diesel with 10 quarts of oil and it calls for 7 quarts. Luckily I noticed as soon as I pulled out of the bay that I didn't have the 3 quarts in my 5 quart jug I brought with me. I quickly went back around and they dropped the oil down to the proper level of 7 quarts. They had a mechanic drive the truck to ensure we didn't have any white smoke or oil leaks from the seals. They had 3 quarts brought to the shop to replace the 3 that had to be drained. What should've been a quick oil change turned into my being here for nearly an hour and half. I asked if they could comp my next oil change and they said No. When you're here just make sure the technician knows the amount of oil your vehicle needs. They have access to this information and this shouldn't have ever happened. read more

I've gone to this shop for a few years, never with any issues. I took my car in last week for an oil change and rotation, balance, and/or alignment. I mentioned that I wasn't sure what tire maintenance I needed, just that I could feel it was a bit off, and spoke to the mechanic, Jimmy. I okayed a car check and after about 2 hours got called from the waiting area that my car was ready. The man tasked with helping me out looked at the paperwork and said that the recommendation was that I needed four new tires and to replace all my brake pads and rotors. In confusion I told him that I got four new tires this summer and literally just had my brake pads and rotors replaced. He kindly offered to walk me to my car so we could take a look. He bent down to look at my tires and said, "Your tires do look good, I'm not sure why they'd recommend that. Let me get the mechanic over here." Jimmy, the mechanic, came over and told me that I needed four new tires because of "feathering" and balding on the inside of my tire, conveniently where I couldn't see it. I told him I just got all new tires this summer and he said that my tires were 2019 so maybe that was why. He then proceeded to tell me that my rotors were warped and my pads were worn down. I told him that my husband had taken my car literally weeks before, on 2/9/23, to replace my rotors and pads. I asked him what they did do to my car, and he told me they just did an oil change because balancing and rotating my tires would be a "waste of money," since they needed replacing. So after all that time waiting I didn't even get fixed what needed fixing. Completely shocked, I told them I was going to get a second opinion. Jimmy literally shrugged and walked away without a word. The man who'd taken me to my car seemed as confused as me and said for me to get a second opinion and they'd be here if I needed help. When I got home I relayed this to my husband, who I had to convince not to go down there himself to have them take the car apart in front of him to show him this supposed tire and rotor/brake pad wear. He was outraged at this brazen attempt to take advantage of me. Is it because I'm a woman? Because I was driving a nice car? Or because with complete honestly told them I wasn't quite sure if I needed a balance, rotation or alignment done and Jimmy figured I was a sucker. I'm only posting this review now because I wanted my mechanic father to look at my car and validate that the issues Jimmy said my car had, were in face fabrications. He was shocked that someone would say I needed new tires and new brake pads and rotors because looking straight at them he saw that were were all new with little wear. Jimmy's treatment of me and my car is an example of why people feel uncomfortable going to car repair shops, and why they are worried about being taken advantage of, which is a disservice to all the honest mechanics and repair shops. I'm not someone who leaves negative reviews but this was too much. The fact I'm giving any stars at all is because how nice the man was who walked me out to my car and who also seemed confused. This shop has lost a customer and you can be sure anyone who mentions car repair shops within shouting distance from me will hear why they shouldn't take their cars here. read more

no stars from me.. do not i repeat do not go to this place for any brake pads and rotors!!!!!! they do not know wtf they are doing at all..... i trusted this place to replace my front brake pads and rotors on 4/2022 for $355.14 . i went back up to this establishment cause my brakes were squealing loudly.. the guy said that it was the front brake pads that were squealing i said i haven't even had them for a year he shrugged his shoulders and i proceeded to ask so what do i do now this man tells me to take it back to the place that put them on... i told him that they were the ones that put them on and he looked at me like "we did?" so they did whatever they needed to do to keep it from squealing. fast forward im still squealing so i take it back up there on 3/2023 they informed me that it was then time for me to replace my rear brake pads and rotors in which i did for $437.82 . (they also charged me $20 for a inspection fee) 6/2023 i came back up to this establishment due to squealing again! ohhhh this time i was told it was my front caliber and when you replace one they highly recommend that you replace both.... so like a dummy i trusted them once again and i replaced both front calibers for $612.12 . i have been to this establishment over 12 times for my brakes squealing and every time i come up here its either the front or the back brakes whichever they feel like guessing at the time.... they have warrantied out my front and rear brake pads and rotors at least two times each... they finally decided to purchase nissan brake pads and rotors on my vehicle. that did not work... my vehicle is still squealing. i came back up to the establishment and they warrantied them out once again!! at this pont i finally had enough and came to my senses to ask for a claim cause its pretty obvious that they dont know what they're doing or they're trying to rip me off cause im a woman. i thought i was starting my claim process untill i had to call twice to check on the status of my claim. long story short when i called the second time they notified me that they "lost my paperwork" due to a management change and was waiting for me to call in.... not even two hours later i get a call from **james givens** the new manager from the milgen location. he wanted me to come in for the 56th time to see why it was squealing. i told him absolutely not i been up there way to many times and im tired of wasting my time, im over it and that i wanted my claim so that i could take my car elsewhere. he explained that this location was not documenting or diagnosing correctly. this location was not documenting in detail every time i came up here why my brakes were squealing and what they did for me at that time. james givens also told me that when i came in just to call him so that i won't have to wait. so basically he was not going to give me my claim until i came into the store once again!!!!!! i was very upset with this so i informed him that i would have to call him back cause this was ridiculous. fast forward to today i called him thursday to let him know i was coming in on friday. i came in gave him my keys and he notified me that it will be 45mins-1hr..... that is not what was discussed on the phone but whatever. i waited and he informed me that i drive my vehicle to "cautiously"???? which is causing my brakes to have soooo much dust on them. mind you i never had this issue with my other vehicle and i still drive the same. he showed me the dust on my brakes. he informed me that car washes are bad for brakes due to the tire shine... lol i dont get tire shine but okay james. he also informed me to slam on my brakes every once in awhile because "its good for your brakes" hmmmm idk about that but okay james. i showed him a picture of my before calibers that they suckered me into buying. he went to go get another "manager" so that they both could come up with a lie to give me. somehow we got off the topic of my calibers and he started talking about other stuff with my car.... i didnt come here for all that. this is where i get real upset.... i said what im trying to figure out is why did yall have me replace my calibers if my brakes squealing is "brake dust" i kid you not james givens shrugged his shoulders and said idk. therefore yall had me replace my calibers for no absolute reason yall are a ripping people off!!!!!!! "idk" is not an answer. i went off cause i was fed up and no i do not feel bad for going off on them.... they didn't feel bad for me wasting my hard earned money with them. i dont trust them to do any mechanic work. they cant even do the bare minimum. how pathetic!! you have been warned. dont waste your time, money or energy with this sorry location. if you dont know how to do basic work then close this mf down!!!!!! front brake pads and rotors= $355.14 rear brake pads and rotors= $437.82 front caliber(s)= $612.12 total= $1,405.08 read more

I pulled into the bay and they started to do the oil change. After draining my oil they told me it was 89.99 for full synthetic change. I took it there for convenience, but when I could change it for 30-40 dollars its seems extreme. They add an additional fee of $36 for synthetic oil on top of the base $27 fee. They should be ashamed to charge $30 more for oil that only cost a few dollars more. Total $96 They are scamming. read more

There's this awesome mechanic there his name is Jim. I brought my vehicle in to have a front end alignment done and they noticed that my driver side control arm had come completely out, mind you that it had just been changed 8 weeks prior to this. And took it to pep boys then for them to do the alignment after changing the control arms. I don't know what that Pepboys did but there was no reason as to why that control arm should have came off. Well it was almost 6pm closing time, put this awesome mechanic name Jim said he had no problem staying over because he knows how dangerous it is & he didn't want to let me drive away with the car being like that. I am so appreciative of him for being so willing to stay after work and what was even better is he only charge me $75 to put the control arm back in, plus the cost of the alignment. I try to tip him afterwards because he didn't have to stay after closing hours to fix a vehicle he did. But he would not take the tip I tried to give him. I can tell you this from now on as long as I'm here in Columbus this will be the only place I take my vehicles from now on. Jim thank you you have made a customer for life as far as I'm concerned. I have a 2019 Ford Ranger. the last two times I went here for an oil change... the guys started cursing and swearing. They do not like changing the oil in a Ranger because of where the oil filter is. one guy told me he was not changing my oil. All around very unprofessional. Coming from the northwest, I was a big fan of Les Schwab and had been struggling to find a new repair shop that I could trust. I had been to a handful of different locations in town, but never found a place that really took care of the customer. On a whim, I decided to come to this location for some routine maintenance. Since my first encounter, I have had nothing but tremendous help from all of the staff. Anthony and John have both gone above and beyond on numerous occasions for both of my cars and I am so grateful for their excellent customer service. Chris was extremely helpful. I usually get my work done on base, but my oil change couldn't wait. My car was starting to shake. For my first time, everything was completely pleasant. Chris explained everything he did, and checked out. He even made sure my wipers were fine on account of the rain lately. When he asked me about my transmission fluid, I really did not know because I own a used car from 2000. He explained to me that if I didn't know, it was in my best interest not to mess with it. It could do more harm than good to my car. Unlike larger car places, they didn't push me into unnecessary work. Chris was very honest, and explained the technical work so I could understand without being condescending. As a woman, most men in car service speak to me like I'm an idiot, or they speak vaguely. Chris was not that type of person, and a pleasure to work with. Upon my checkout, he even told me that he gave me $5 off for my first time. Wow! I went in today during my lunch hour for a basic oil change. I was taken right away, and the mechanic who serviced my car was very polite. He explained the service then got to work. It took approximately 12 minutes, which included my first-timer paperwork. No upsell, just the service I asked for. The waiting area is just so-so. They offer bottled water while you wait and a weak wifi signal. Chairs are fine, considering you'll only be in them a short time. I would have given five stars; however, it was a very hot August day and the a/c seemed to be on the blink. I'll definitely return. They were quick, friendly, and didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff I don't need. read more

BE VERY careful... they will tell you things are wrong with your car that are not... just so that the auto repair adjacent to the building makes money.. they told me I had a bad engine gasket .. took it to another shop and they put it under pressure and no leaks... it was just dirt and oil buildup... second opinion can't hurt read more

Don't go there. They told me I needed new tires, and an alignment and it did not. By getting a 2nd opinion I saved over $400. They also try to sell you things such as flushes that even my car manufacturer does not say you need. I've spent my last hard earned money with them. read more

Have had my oil changed at this location twice. Lately my car smells like burning oil/ rubber. I found that my oil filter was covered in oil and was dripping on to my exhaust. I was able to turn the oil covered filter (by hand) a half rotation. Now due to a company cutting corners I have to deal with the residue burning off that I was not able to clean, and spend and hour dry sweeping my driveway. I guess I will go back to changing my own oil, to make sure it get done correctly. Thank you express oil change, you have solidified my prejudice against the 10 minute oil change! read more
