I went in and let them know that I only had a few minutes to get some to go food. They said no problem. The hostess was quite friendly. What I ordered: Cadillac margarita Potato skins Half rack of ribs à la cart It only took about 10 minutes and I can tell you the ribs are really good . The hostess that took my order asked what kind of barbecue sauce I wanted, they had quite a few choices, but I just went with plain barbecue sauce. Potato skins were really just baked potato cut into wedges and covered with cheese and bacon, but they were still good. I would order them again. I sat at the bar and ordered a Cadillac margarita. I let the bartender know that I was in a hurry and she told me that she would get to me as soon as she could ... there is no one else sitting at the bar ...she went over to the hostess stand and started talking to the hostess. The restaurant was empty. I sat in amazement. while I looked on, wondering why she made me wait. No customers, no one at the bar ... I guess as a customer you're not allowed to make any demands or want something quick lol . The bartender did have to look up how to make a Cadillac. She did a great job though. The food was great. The margarita was great just a strange little power-play from the bartender. Other than that I would definitely come back. On a sidenote for the bartender: good tips and return customers happen when you give expedited service happily.

In reading reviews from others, one needs to know the style and intent of the place. People looking for sophisticated, fancy meal will be disappointed. People looking for a family style meal, with the warm and engaging people, with honest, real, good food, will be thrilled. We were there for a late lunch. Our server was extremely kind and explained the menu, process, and local favorites The Pico Punch had a touch of Vicks 44, but that's exactly what it should taste like. The quantities are huge. Cabbage soup broth was delicious. Italian bread would be better if warmed, but still good. The salad was robustly tossed and the dressing had a nice touch of garlic. The steak sandwich was tender and had an excellent marinade/flavor. Fries: very greasy and not their finest moment. We have family in Iowa and this all felt similar: Midwest friendliness, warmth, and good food. We were leaving at 445 and the line had grown to 20 for dinner! Appeared to be locals/regulars. As another noted, yes, there are brothels just down the street. Hey, it adds to the local charm!

I was served a dinner salad, broccoli raab and the most amazing pancetta macaroni and cheese, YUM! The steak was the largest piece of meat EVER! I could only eat half. All for 42$ My husband had the seared tuna on a bed of pasta with lobster sauce. His meal was also cooked correctly and seasoned and flavored. Our server was attentive and answered questions regarding the food and beverages, we had a bottle of Chianti most excellent. The atmosphere was fancy enough to feel Special but not pretentious. We did not have reservations and even though the place appeared to be full, we were seated right away. I highly recommend a meal from Luciano's.

May 2026 Elko, N…read more Hmmmmm . . . 3.0 stars. Here is why. Arrived a little after 5 pm on a Friday. Two tables were already sitting. The hostess sat us in a separate room from the main dining room. It was hit brightly by the sun and felt like a second thought of leftover dining. Asked if we could sit in main dining room and she obliged. We asked about the menu and took time to review it. After some time we ordered. My husband had the chicken Alfredo and I ordered the PASTA MILANO which is described as: Chicken, Tomatoes, Mushrooms in a Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce over Penne Pasta. Sounds good right? It could have been good. But it was not. First of all, I never got chicken in the dish. The mushrooms were diced and very few in the dish. The only thing they got right was the tomatoes. I called the waitress over and told her that my dish had no chicken in it. She said well do you want some? I smiled and said well that's what the dish was supposed to come with. So I waited. Then I decided to go ahead and start eating my food because seven minutes went by and I still have no chicken. When the dish was originally served,, I asked the waitress for Parmesan cheese. She said we don't have Parmesan cheese, but we have black pepper. Huh???? of course you have Parmesan cheese. I have it on my Caesar salad. I really don't think she knew what Parmesan cheese was. I just shrugged my shoulders and took a bite of my food. Again, great concept. But the food had NO flavor. I added salt and pepper. Still nothing. I took the balsamic vinegar that was on the table and added it to the dish. There, I finally had flavor in my meal. But still no chicken. Finally, another waitress brings out a plate of squiggly worm like meat. She said, did somebody order chicken at this table? I was disgusted. First of all, it was not pleasant to see it look like that. Also, you should've offered to remake my meal, or at least take it back and mix it with the chicken. But to make me wait until my dishes is half gone and then bring over a plate of chicken is a poor decision. The chicken fettuccine had a good flavor. But the chicken was tough. Hard to chew. Not good flavor. I ordered a n/a Heineken. She brought it in a glass to the table. It was already poured so I don't know if I truly got what I ordered. Also the glass was too large for the amount of beer that was in it. Makes it look like it was half a drink. The waitress was kind, but we did not see much of her. She never offered to refill our bread basket. According to the menu, you get two baskets of bread and then if you want more you have to pay. We only got one basket of bread and never offered anymore. I was looking forward to some good pasta, and this restaurant did not deliver. Very disappointed in the service, and most definitely the food. The waitress took five dollars off of our meal, but she never explained why she did it or why she decided to take that amount of money. She never apologized for my dish, not having any protein, she never apologized for any thing. Management needs to teach staff that they can take ownership of the situation. It is OK to say you are sorry that the chicken was not put in your dish. Let's see what we can do to make it right. That would have gone so far. Instead, it left my attitude about this place as tough as the chicken in the fettuccine was.

The calamari and the garlic cheese curds were very yummy. The speciality drink menu was awesome! We had the lavender lemon drops, sex in the woods, and the knockout punch! The mixologist knew her stuff as the drinks were very tasty, our food was served with perfect timing and our server was fun and quick. We were greeted both in and out and I highly recommend cooks to anyone seeking an impressive dinner with drinks that'll make you proud. We were told no reservations were needed. My wife, two of her friends, and I came in, ordered drinks, and had an exceptional meal. The food quality was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We were enjoying ourselves, having conversation after dinner, and had spent around $300 on the meal. Then, unexpectedly, someone other than our great waitress came to the table and told us we needed to leave because there was a reservation for our table at 7:30. This was shocking and incredibly awkward since there were several open tables including the one next to us that was the exact same size as ours. We were not informed of any time limit when seated, and we had been explicitly told earlier that reservations were not required. Being asked to leave after spending that much money--while still sitting and talking--felt rude and unprofessional. What made it worse: we drove by about 30 minutes later (around 8:00 PM), and the table was empty. No one was seated there. Great food does not excuse poor hospitality. If there are time limits or reservations, customers need to be told up front, not pressured out mid-evening after a premium-priced meal. This experience completely overshadowed what would have otherwise been a great night. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, we won't be returning.

The bartender was friendly and prompt with service. There appeared to be many locals there. We were seated promptly for dinner. It took a bit for our server to arrive to our table, but once there she was friendly and informative. We started with the spring rolls. They were mushy on the inside. It appeared they were wrapped with dumpling wrappers that were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. We didn't prefer the texture. Hubby didn't like the sauce served with them but I did. We wouldn't order them again. We chose a spinach salad as the side to our entrees. It was fresh but overdressed. It became soggy very quickly. Hubby had the braised lamb shank special. He said it was fall off the bone tender. There were parts of it on the outside though that were too hard to chew, as if those parts had been outside of the braising liquid too long. The polenta was grainy and undercooked. Polenta should be smooth and silky. The sauce was too salty. I had the Basque Pasta. I asked the waitress if the mussels were fresh and she told me they were frozen. I never should have ordered the dish. The mussels were so dry and fishy tasting I couldn't eat them, and I love mussels. I even bit down on a couple of pieces of broken mussel shells. There was hardly any sauce so the noodles were dry as well. The cheese on top wasn't melted. I barely touched my dish. The servers, including ours, were working very hard and seemed to be providing everyone with great service. I'm giving 3 stars because of the food. I know it's a local fave, but we won't be back.
