My car literally over heated and died on me. I tried getting a tow truck out their for two days and nothing. Finally I was able to get one and even though I felt like a chicken with her head cut off the guys at Midas helped. They let me use their charger, they let me vent, and even more so they let me change my appointment multiple times. During all of this not one of them got frustrated with me. You know how special that is now a days. So when it came down to my car I already had hope that they would take the best care of it and I was right! DO NOT GET YOUR TIRES ROTATED HERE. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation and on the way out of the shop the tire popped clear off my car in the middle of a busy intersection. My car dragged along the ground back into their parking lot and the part that holds the wheel was all bent up and the back panel of the car body was coming off. Now I have to go through all these other processes to get my car checked and repaired just because I went for a simple tire rotation. Also the manager (Joe) was completely condescending to me after the whole thing happened, telling me there is nothing wrong with my car and I don't need to get it looked at by another person to make sure it's okay. He kept telling me to talk to him nicer about it and that he didn't like my tone (as if it's not justified for me to be angry about my tire popping off and then nearly getting me killed because of their negligence), and kept interrupting me when I was saying I don't trust their assessment of the situation because they're the ones who fucked up in the first place. I feel like he just thought I was a hysterical woman when really, their negligence could have cost me my life, so if that happened to you, you'd probably be pretty pissed too. read more

Stay Away from Midas in W Sacramento and Roseville (Foothill). Both locations have the same manager. I took my SUV to Midas for an oil change. The guy behind desk asked if I wanted my tires rotated. I said yes and asked a few questions about the tire rotation. I was charged $20 for the tire rotation. When I pick up the SUV, I asked the same guy behind the desk if my tires had been rotated. He seemed bothered that I asked the question. He flipped his invoice to last page of work completed read the page and said "yes" just like we said we would do. I checked the tires before I drove out of parking lot. The tires had not been rotated. I think this might be the normal practice. How many people pay for tires to be rotated and it's not done?? I went back in office and the other person behind desk said the sheet did not indicate tires were rotated. She said I would need to come back in an hour because the other guy was at lunch. I asked for refund for tires not being rotated. I could not take off work and come back. I have called and called. Finally I was told that I could schedule and appointment to have the tires rotated. No, at that point, I just want refund. NOW, after playing phone tag with Ron Evans, the Manager, I want a full refund of the oil change and the charge for tire rotation. I have spent 2 months of calling Midas. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO MIDAS IN W SACRAMENTO OR ROSEVILLE (FOOTHILL). They will not take care of you. read more

This is the worst business I've ever seen in my life. From the owner Ronnie Evans to the lying front girls. Took my car to check the breaks and some some muffler welding on Friday and 3 days later on Tuesday still nothing done. So I decided to pick up my car and take it to another shop and they would not release it to me till the owner talked to me about waiting more time to finish the car. I will be calling the BBB on them. They would not give me my keys to my car till I paid them for the service not complete. If you decide to go with them please look at the back shop how disgusting it is. I've should have done my homework before going there. I've given this place a chance twice and the last time was the worst. I went in to get a diagnosis for a small vapor leak. After having it all day they told me I needed a pcm... a new computer for my car. You can imagine I was pretty upset but I paid them the $140 dollars I owed for the diagnosis and they told me that they would get me a price the next business day and I never heard from them. So I called around and got multiple quotes. After all that I found out it needed a new gas cap... $140 dollars and they didn't even check the gas cap?! And to tell me I needed a new computer to boot. Still haven't heard back from them. read more

I have taken different vehicles there over the years for minor stuff, oil changes and tire repairs. Hit or miss on customer service until this week. Took the car there Saturday for an oil change and tire rotation. They also checked the brakes, but couldn't get the drums off so just did the visual as best they could. Said everything looked ok - didn't note any leaks. Next day or so the brake light comes on. Stupid me assumes that the parking brake sensor is just sticking because Midas said everything looked good. By the next weekend, Sunday, I have no breaks. Added fluid to get home and next morning found out there is no pressure because the brake fluid leaked out the passenger side rear brake assembly as evidenced by the puddle of brake fluid. Took it back to Midas and explained the situation. Was surprised they estimated a charge to inspect given the situation. First thing out of the mechanics mouth after the inspection was showing me the problem and denying that they had anything to do with it. I said that I believed they caused the leak when they attempted to remove the drums to inspect the brakes. They denied it continually. Then they quoted me about $450 to repair the rear brakes and that it was a really great discount. Then Michael the mechanic tells Joe the manager that the drums have very little lining left and need to be replaced too. ChaChing the estimate now hits $607! Of course I am thinking "I thought they told me the brakes were ok". So Midas isn't responsible for me needing new rear brakes, but telling me they seem ok when they have no clue is not acceptable. I believe they caused the leak. Causing a leak and then denying it is not ok. Saying you are giving me a deal because of the situation and charging me about $320 for parts that I went to Autozone right after and paid $99 for is not ok. While they were putting my car back together my certified mechanic friend showed up and told the Midas guys why the line blew out in the brake when they failed to remove the drum in the first place. Funny they were able to get the drums off today. I will never use this place again. read more

Went in for a tire alignment. Only took about an hour. The car is still driving slightly to one side so I may take it back in for a double check. Great staff! Super friendly. The person at the front desk even called my cell to let me know when the car was ready. She recommended the La Bou that was luckily open (the ones in downtown are not open weekends) on a Saturday morning and it was walking distance. Hello everyone who is reading this I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! last week I gave them a call and some other places about my totoya sienna and I asked around for an estimate on how much it would be to replace my driver side A/C blend actuator and to replace 2 front motor mounts. I figured the problem on my own and wanted an estimate. On their billboards they advertise free estimates. When I was on the phone with an associate of midas she told me that she can't give me an estimate unless I come in. So I came into the store and talked to her she said that they need to run diagnostic of my car which will be 65$ the thing is I already told her what the problem was so they didn't need to run diagnostics all I was looking for is for her to give me an estimate. I really needed to get my ac fixed so I agreed to the diagnostic in hopes of them giving me a down to earth estimate. I then left the car with them and went home and was waiting for a call. I waited for 3 hours and called the store the same lady picked up and said they are gonna give me a call before 5 since that's when they close. I waited till 5:20 no calls from them i then called the store again and some dude picked up the phone and told me that he has my estimate and that the price is going to be 2,500$ that is ABSURD!! What kinda pricing is that. I then asked what would be the price for just the ac fix and they quoted me 360$ for the ac blend actuator and told me some bs of how its gonna take them 2.5 hours to do. So for the work of doing just the ac would be over 600$ I went on orielly online store found the same part for 165$ I ended up having to pay midas 65$ for basically killing my whole day waiting for my car and charging me for a "free estimate" I would not recommend this place. ps: I ended up fixing the problem myself took me no longer then 45 min to fix and total pricing was 165$ read more

Needs a couple of break lights, no big deal, do it. I am on my way to pick it up. Light's changed while I wait. No big deal. Then they finally start the smog check! When I told the guy I wanted my tires changed he immediately said he didn't have time, even though they had no other cars to work on. Then asked if he could at least do the oil change and he said no- they were just waiting for the last car to be picked up so they could leave. At 4:30. Sorry I wanted to pay you $150+ but you didn't care enough to stick around until your posted closing time and get paid.
