I took my car to this Midas because of all the reviews of how honest this location is. I was advised by the manager to replace my valve cover gasket to fix an oil leak. I paid over $800 in labor for the repair. The manager gave me my car back with the check engine light on. When I showed him the engine light, he then reset the code and sent me on my way. The check engine light came on again. The manager denied any responsibility got angry and hung up the phone on me. I then took my car to classic automotive in Mars, PA. They diagnosed my car and advised me to get a full refund from Midas. They said that Midas did not fix the oil leak at all and that the check engine light was on because they didn't put my engine back together properly. Ultimately, I paid an additional $1700 to the dealer to reverse all the damage Midas caused. Midas said there's simply nothing they can do. read more

My service here was less than ideal. I went in for a simple oil change on my Saab 9-3--admittedly, not your everyday vehicle. They were not sure what oil the car took, but I told them what the manual suggested, which was what I had been using all along. 45 minutes later the car is ready--great!-- but...I notice that they used a different oil than I had specified. Probably not a catastrophe, but I brought it to their attention. Very rushed and annoyed now, they changed out the old oil in about 10 minutes flat, and replaced it with...yet again a wrong, differently wrong, oil. Mistake compounded. I realized about 10 minutes after I left the place, and refused to return for yet another correction, since I no longer trusted them. (By the way, this second oil was not comparable to what I had specified, and is actually contraindicated in my Saab). Bottom line? They were very nice, but two screw-ups are bad business. I came in from out of town and my Acura MDX started making a lot of noise on the drive in when accelerating. Symbolic of a problem with the muffler or fuel line. I went to the local Acura dealer and it was not something they could fix on a Saturday and suggested I visit a muffler shop up the road. I went to this Midas location and they could not have been more accommodating. They immediately put my vehicle up on the lift and showed me where a gasket in the fuel line was missing and some screws had come off and thus there was a gap in the fuel line. They fixed it in less than an hour! Nick at the front desk was friendly and very accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in town and would certainly go back if I ever needed to. read more

Took car here for an inspection because I was in a rush and it was the worst place I think I could have taken it. Called for an appointment and they said bring it in. When I got there they gave me severe attitude for not having an appointment. The tech was arrogant and thought my car was a Jeep Wrangler somehow, it's not. Then he told me what he was going to fail my state inspection for before he even looked at it and then was a condescending as if I don't know what I am talking about. Quote was double what an actually good mechanic would charge and tried to act like he was giving me a big break for something that was new and perfectly good. Car runs perfectly fine, this place seems like it was just trying to say anything was wrong to get money. If I could give it zero stars I would. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you like bad, insulting, and combative customer service and people who don't know anything about cars. read more

The team here is friendly and fun, even bright and early on a Saturday morning! They're happy to show you what's going on under the hood if there's something else to consider, and will explain in detail what it means/causes, etc. For quick service, Saturday morning seems to be a great time though the end of the month can get tricky with state inspections due. Screwed by Midas Wexford this morning. Printed the ad for a $19.99 oil change. Took the ad with me. Showed it to Nick and ask $19.99 right? Nick's response - Yes. 30 minutes later a bill for $42.79. Nick's explanation - Subaru specs call for synthetic. I'm not stupid. Subaru specs are a recommendation. I bought the car in 2016 and have been putting conventional oil in it since then without an issue. Do I think Midas actually put synthetic oil in the car? Not a chance. read more

He got me in during a busy period, worked with me to arrange a tire insurance claim, and got me in two new tires quickly and easily. I use this location for my oil changes, and they do a good job of getting your car in and out as fast as possible. Even on a recent Friday afternoon, I only had to wait 45 minutes (I thought that was good considering I drove in an hour before they closed without an appointment!) I went to get an inspection. My car is a year old with 20,000 highway miles. They said everything was good except the rear rotors were "glazed" and needed to be replaced for $500. I chose to leave without getting the service or sticker. I've never heard of glazing before. I took the car home and had a look for myself. The rotors looked fine to me. I then took the car to the dealership service department to get a new inspection. I didn't mention the rotor issue to them. Half an hour later I had a new inspection sticker for my car. Clearly Midas was just trying to squeeze me for $500. read more

I went into the location to get my inspection and oil change done. When I picked up the car the mechanic told me that even though I said I wanted the $20 oil change he gave me the $50 oil change because that's what the oil cap said. I didn't get any phone call from them to tell me I was going to be charged $30 more. Then when I looked in the owners Manuel for the car it said it was recommended but not necessary. I don't have a high performance engine so it wasn't needed for the car to have the more expensive oil especially without my approval. I doubt I will be going back to a mechanic I can't trust! read more

Very disappointed. I have gotten my state Inspection here for the last 3 years and I will not be going back. I originally went there because they have the guaranteed brake pad replacements for life time. 3 years ago when my car needed inspected I knew I needed breaks so I let them do everything. They were very very nice and reasonably priced. Therefore I continued to go back. The 2nd year everything went very smoothly and again I was very happy with their service at the time. This year a week and a 1/2 before my appointment, I got brand new tires put on my car. I had driven my car less than a 100 miles and after they inspected the car they told me that my car needed an alignment because the tires were worn on one side. This was to get me to pay for an unneeded service. I was very upset. Also when I got the car inspected the 2nd year they replaced my air filter. They broke the clips that held on the cover. They were the only ones to have touched that cover. When I took it back this year they tried to sell me a new cover with new clips because the old cover was being held down with a wire which they are the ones that put on the wire. However I did not know that at the time and could not prove it therefore I am stuck with a cover that is held down with a wire or I have to pay for a brand new cover. read more

I told him of a few problems with my truck, he test drove it, put it up on the lift and called me back to show me what needed to be done. He gave me the estimate and told me approximately when he expected the repairs to be finished. I went to Midas to get new brake pads and while they were fixing it they ended up braking something. It was an accident and they told me they already ordered the part and it would not affect my driving. Chuck was super nice and told me to reschedule at my convenience which I did the following week.
